Good location, 5 min walk to vappareto stop. Safe, spotless clean, quiet. Love the sound of bell tower nearby .Ok breakfast; bread, cheese, nutella, jams. yogurt, coffee, tea and everything plenty of. Beautiful garden, great for breakfast and evening drinks. Modern bathroom, huge shower, great water pressure, very good AC.In summary highly recommended. Little canal in front of the hotel, great garden and clock tower make for very relaxing stay. There is Billa store within 10 min walk, good for groceries if you are on a budget. Hotel itself bit pricey. Stayed in August 09, 150 euro p/night for room for four. For that price however I felt safe at all times( there is a lobby attendant 24/7),everything was spic and span, and there is no substitution for the use of garden in a summer, especially if you are traveling with kids We had very pleasant stay .

We loved our roomy accomodation at Casa Rezzonico. We had a view of the garden out back, beautiful paintings on the walls and LOTS of room. The building was well kept. The location was great - we had easy access to lots of different restaurants for meals and the water bus stop at the Acadamia is very close. It was always an adventure getting back to the hotel - as it would be to get to anywhere in Venice that's not on the Grand Canal - we actually got to see more of Venice this way and we managed fine. It wasn't till our last night there that we went in a circle a couple of times but we were expecting this from what we had read so viewed it as an adventure not a negative. One thing I would recommend to first time visitors, don't plan on visiting more than one or a maximum of two museum type venues per day - it is easy to be overwhelmed!! A nice surprise is the big parks with huge trees in some of the off the beaten track areas. A nice way to check the whole place out is to ride the water bus for a full circuit of the island. We really enjoyed our stay in Venice at Casa Rezzonico and would recommend it to anyone that wants a quiet, elegant place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Rezzonico very much. The decor in the room all fit together nicely to create an old world atmosphere even down to the generous amount of classic art prints on the walls. It's also a very quiet location. The bathroom was modern and clean and well-appointed. They provide little in the way of toiletries so bring your own! We had a view out of our window of their little garden and patio below - charming! Just so you know, there is no lift and all of the guest rooms are up a narrow flight of stairs. Breakfast was served in a homey, smallish, nicely decorated room that had just enough space for two picnic-sized tables with benches and chairs (combo). Guests were expected to eat together at the same table - a bit awkward when you're just trying to wake up in the morning. There was little in the way of protien offered (I suppose Nutella and soft cheese counts) but the croisants and cereal worked just fine. We got used to that breakfast menu during our trip. They serve "cafe Americano" and provide hot water and tea pots for tea. The two gentlemen that shared time at the front desk were very knowledgeable about Venice. For dinner, they recommended Taverna san Trovaso, a nearby restaurant which was an excellent (and very popular place to eat, evidently. Reservations highly recommended!)Prices are reasonable and the food and service can't be beat! Piazza San Marco is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Any walk you take in Venice is a treat unto itself! The Valpretto stop for Ca Rezzonico on the Grand Canal (Valpretta 1) is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Once you reach the first open piazza, continue moving along the right side of the buildings ahead (canal on your right, buildings on your left).

Beautiful hotel! A little hard to find if it is your first visit to Venice. Arriving at the train station is a bit intimidating with boats as your only means of transport. We spent about 20 mins walking in circles, but eventually were pointed in the right direction. The staff was nice, but not the most professional. Our room had 2 great windows looking over a small canal - amazing. Very spacious room with a couch. The bathroom was very spacious and clean as well. Only complaint was the lack of air conditioning. Our stay was in the summer and we woke up in a puddle of sweat.

Casa Rezzonico is charming and the garden out back offers a wonderful bit of greenery in the city. The neighborhood is so special and picturesque; the perfect location, with great pizza and gelato in Campo San Margherita nearby, and Campo San Barnaba with a hometown feel, and the best bakery in the city practically next door, on Calle Lunga. I would look forward with pleasure to staying here again.
