We enjoyed our stay in this small family run hotel. Nothing extraordinary, just simple, well presented room in the middle of Venice.

Owner was very friendly and spoke english well. We were upgraded from a family room to an apartment because the owner suspected after a long flight it would be more appropriate. A simple but nice breakfast was left for us in the apartment. The only issue was the small size of the shower.

Yes, stay here! the only noise is from pigeons and early morning delivery boats on the canal below. The staff (sorry I forgot your names) are sooo helpful. Ask all questions in the morning: evenings they are not available, leaving you to your privacy. Cute, small, authentic, fab breakfast. Clean, hot showers and a comfy bed, excellant location, go and enjoy Venice!

It really was an exceptional week. Of course Venice is such a special city. I had been a couple of times before, but this time the warm welcoming we had at the hotel made all the difference. The flight arrived late and not only Signora Lia took the trouble of getting up in the middle of the night to meet us, but from then onwards kept on looking after us and doing her best to make us feel at home, giving us useful advice about places to visit, organizing tickets, reservations, a great night out to the open air theatre at St. Mark's square. She even went further and upgraded us! The atmosphere at breakfast was homely and friendly and the staff invariably kind. I've read this over and it sounds as if I am the hotel owner trying to attract customers. But I'm not. It's all true. I think the down side is that it is going to be extremely difficult to get a warmer welcome anywhere else. Many thanks for a fantastic holiday. I mean it.

We stayed in the family room. It was spacious. It was clean, nicely decorated. The bathroom was was clean and very nice. (Shower so small you'll laugh!) We had windows right on a canal. We had a great time watching construction workers working off a boat, people delivering toilet paper out of their boat, etc. There is a plaza right around the corner with everything you would want nearby (such as a pharmacy). Breakfast was simple, but fine. There were croissants, bread, etc. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate. We were allowed to store our luggage there after we checked out. Also, we were allowed to use the bathroom when we returned to collect our luggage. (That saved us about $10!) We had a nice experience at this hotel. Handy tip if you're going to this hotel. Locate the easy to find Plaza St.Stefano on a map and you'll be right around the corner. (take a left around the souveneir stand.)

This was our first time in Venice, and the welcome we received at the hotel was very warm and friendly. We were more than happy with the service, and the cleanliness of the room was excellent with clean towels and sheets every day of our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect being central to everywhere in Venice, just 15 minutes walk to to St. Marks Square and the Basilica. And Saint Stephano square, just around the corner, housed some very nice restaurants and cafes. All in all the hotel helped make our stay in Venice a memorable one and we will definitely recommend Antico Fiore to our friends, and when we return to Venice in the future we will stay at this hotel again.

We arrive at the Venice airport Venice Marco Polo and the lady in the airport who provided information, gave us the wrong information, so take some time to get to hotel.By phone, the hotel's staff helped us a lot and after they arrived there, we were very well received. The hotel is pleasant, clean, the room for 4 people is agreable and the location is very good, out of confusion, but close to all.The breakfast is good, employees are very friendly and helpful. We appreciate the hospitality . We knew Venice and thought this the most enjoyable stay.

The room was smaller than the photograph suggested, but it was lovely and comfortable enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was well situated--away from all the tourist traffic (boat and on foot) but close enough to go everywhere we wanted.

Photos on website bore no resemblance whatsoever to our room. Website advertised the rooms as all having a private bathroom - we had one bathroom between every room on the floor. The room was tiny and gloomy - definitely not worth anything close to €120 a night!

Despite agreeing the time of our arrival in advance with the staff, the hotel was unmanned & locked on our arrival. We had to phone from our mobile (still waiting for that bill...!) and wait for staff to arrive (15-20mins). While the room (double) was very small, it was clean, well equipped (for its size), warm and quiet. The hotel is superbly situated 30 seconds from St Angelo and a stone's throw from Campo St Stefano, although the directions on the e-mail from the hotel are a must, but spot on when put into practice. Breakfast was as expected - basic but pleasant and plenty. In a nutshell, a good base for seeing Venice from but perhaps a touch overpriced and would benefit from a better reception. I wouldn't imagine it would be suitable for folks with children.

We spent 16 days in Italy, in 4 cities. All of our hotels were nice except for this one. We booked the family apartment-it was a dump. It was nothing like the picture they show online. We had difficulty finding it and no one had heard of it, that should have been our first clue. It was at the end of a deadend street and from the outside you could not tell it was a hotel. That would have been fine if the room was okay. The carpet creaked when you walked on it like it was rotten, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling and walls. Were there was paint it was chipped and peeling. The woman at the desk (up 2 flights of stairs) was nice but never there. We needed to check-out at 8 and she didn't get there until 9. Loved Venice but would never go back to this hotel. The gelato place aroud the corner though is awesome!

This is a very quaint hotel in an old building. The photos on the web page are exactly like the hotel and the staff are wonderful! You can't beat the location of the hotel in Venice, it is very central but the directions on the website to get there aren't too clear. Lots of stairs to get up to the rooms but we didn't mind, even with all of our luggage. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

We found the hotel very easily with a good map, and were very suprised upon arrival. The hotel itself is small and welcoming with friendly staff. The area of St Stephano Sqaure is amazing, and everything was at hand. Venice is a truly amazing place to visit and having a centrally located hotel such as this made the stay that much more enjoyable. Hotel Antico Fiore is quite and clean, we came and went as we pleased, it was like having our own appartment in the centre of Venice. Excellent all round!!

I had a very comfortable stay at Antico Fiore. The hospitality of the staff was first-rate and the accommodations were adequate. I had difficulty finding the hotel, at first, as there was not a clear signage of the place. I would recommend the hotel to my friends and family and I will consider staying there again for my next visit to Venice. Thank you, Leisl Esposito

Our comments concern only the family appartment. We can't give any comments of the hotel itself, because the appartment was about 200 m away. When we booked our room we didn't know that we wouldn't get a room directly in the hotel and that we had to prepare the breakfast ourselves.

Hotel too expensive in relation with the quality of the rooms. Wardrobes too old and dirty. The bathroom very old too, the one we used has the washbasin dropping water to the floor. Breakfast too small. Public areas too poor. I won´t go there ever again. I don´t recommend the hotel, sure. On the other hand, the hotel is well located. No recomiendo el hotel, baño y armarios muy viejos y no limpios del todo. Desayuno muy escueto y áreas comunes casi inexistentes. Yo no volveré nunca a este hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Antico Fiore very much, and would stay here again and recommend it to friends. The little campo that the hotel is located on is quiet and scenic. Our little top floor room was lovely with beamed ceilings. The staff was very helpful and kind. Our only minor complaints would be that the hotel is not really staffed after 3 pm, unless they are expecting an arrival; and the breakfast could be a little more varied. On the positive side, the staff was very accommodating about to our reuests to take breakfast to our room.

The hotel is located close to the main touristic places of interest yet in quiet neighborhood. Our room was very small but clean. The breakfast was very good. Overall, the price was well worth the quality, since we asked the owner for the special discount price as advertised on the internet and really received nearly 30% price reduction (plus taking in account we stayed there during the busy Valentine weekend).
