The minibar did not work well. The minimum temperatur inside the box was around 16 Celsius?? and was nothing to do.. The recepcionist by name Laura was terrible. It seems to me that she get some LEMON JUICE in the morning.. Argh... The other one by name Claudia was very very helpful.

The best thing about the hotel was the location - so central (but quiet) and close to everything. Claudia waited up for us as our flight was delayed and she made us feel welcome. She gave excellent directions to get to the hotel. we had breakfast at the hotel. It was adequate. The internet connection can be slow but we were very happy with the general service. We'd stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

Great hotel full of charm in the heart of Ascona. The receptionist was particularly friendly and helpful and the decoration of the rooms and public areas are original and tasteful, which makes the hotel stand out in comparaison with other hotels in the same price bracket. We'll definitely go back again!!!

What a lovely place to stay. A few stairs but nothing too daunting. It's in a quiet spot a little off the main drags, but really, it's quite convenient to the water - back towards the Rialto and for walking to anywhere important including Saint Marcs. We encountered 4 staff during the stay - english wasn't a high priority, but we got by. I noted complaints from previous visitors about the directions and yes, they are are missing one vital street name - the 2nd last one. I'd also suggest walking along the water from the Rialto ferry stop and then left down to the San Luca via either C. La Bembo Calle or C. La Carbon, take Fuseri off the square and then the missing link is right at C. Le Locande, then left into the hotel street - Calle Coppo.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The reception staff person is the personification of rudeness and indifference to customer service. We were shunted off to another building a long, hot walk from the main hotel. The room was tiny, the air conditioner and refrigerator didn't work, and we were too far away to take advantage of the hotel's continental breakfast. We'd sleep on the streets before we'd stay here again.

Hotel very difficult to find at first.Directions should improve. Although the reception staff(young lady) were very friendly on arrival, the other lady covering reception during day working hours(different shift) were very rude and unhelpfull. Definately not what one would expect from profesional people working with customers. Also did not understand/speak english.

We had no breakfast included in the price, is not a good facilitie for somebody that is in a hotel. But in general is really nice, confortable, elegant, clean and is a one of the best rooms i have ever been. The recepcion was not ok cause the recepcionist try to come with us from coppo 1 to coppo 2 running...But it is ok. 8points. Enjoy!

Very nice property near the Rialto bridge but difficult to find due to the numerous minuscule pathways that one needs to walk through. A real challenge for anyone with heavy luggage. Clean rooms and quiet environment make this a good choice in spite of the high prices throughout Venice.

Were thrilled with the hotel, we wouldn't have found it from the directions given, we bought a good map and found the street on that before getting off the waterbus which was alot easier. The hotel is great, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms and not expensive. Venice is beautiful, better than we imagined. Had a lovely few days, would recomend the hotel. Good position, easy to get to and from.

Tucked away in a quiet lane although right in the middle of the action, this lovely little hotel was welcoming and spacious considering it's in the middle of venice! Air conditioned rooms, nice staff, good breakfast, and convenient location halfway between Rialto and San Marco so it's an easy walk to pretty much anywhere in Venice. Comfy beds, slept so well. We were placed in the two rooms next to the dining area and I found it unexpectedly quiet and private; actually we were a group of four who booked those two end rooms and it was great and private for us to have what felt like a suite at the edge of the hotel :) Have already recommended to friends. Pricey but worth it for the quiet and airconditioning (in July) and location for sure.

Very poor breakfast, very small and uncomfortable breakfastroom; one day we have to wait nearly half an hour in front of the hotel, because there was nobody at the reception to let us in (you got no keycard for the hotel-door!), but the junior-suite has a wonderful and romantic "terazza" and it´s beautiful to sit in the evening there, with a bottle of italian redwine, and look into the venecian sky! In summary a small hotel in a good very central situation, this might appologize the we think too high rates. Not very personally.

The hotel is very cozy, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly.. Not easy to find but then again is like everything else in Venice. But they gave me instructions from the hotel and they worked just fine. English was ok (except for the lady who attends the night shift who didn´t speak any English.)Breakfast is very simple but provides a good start for the day. I have no regret for staying there and I would really recommend this hotel if you would like to go to Venice and have a very good base for exploring the wonders of this city.

The hotel was quite ok, but the picture of a nearby palazzo with the outside stairway (on the internet) gave us the impression that we would have a direct view on it. This is not the case. Beside this, in our room we had a horrible bed. This seems not to be the case for each room. Our friends had a very good bed. Last remark is the friendliness of the personnel, some are extremely friendly and one seemed to not have much joy of working when we arrived.

The best things about this hotel was the location very near Rialto Bridge but directions for first time visitors were poor and I am not sure if they were correct. It is also clean and the guy on night duty was lovely. But the bedroom was small next to the breakfast room with a pillor in the middle of the room. There was only one window opening onto ground floor entrance which ment we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time. both of us were suffering with cold/flu and would have liked a nice place to veg out but this hotel had nowhere to go. The bar was also the breakfast room and was really very small - the picture makes it look much bigger and when we asked to use the internet were directed to a place down the road. My overall impression was it was dear (E180 a night), it felt like a box and had little facilities. The only saving grace was the night attendant (very friendly), it was clean and the air-conditioning worked.

Very small family owned hotel, well situated on a quiet street near San Marco. Our room and bathroom were spacious and well set up and had a little terrace on the floor above as an unexpected bonus. The staff were nice and helpfull. Breakfast could be improoved although the lady serving it was particularly pleasant. Venice, around San Marco, is expensive and we did not compare prices with other similar hotels, so the feeling that we payed a bit too much may not be fair. All in all a good choice.

This is a lovely hotel on a quiet street. A bit hard to find, but isn't that part of the charm of Venice? The hotel staff was wonderful; they helped us out with a small problem very willingly. The room was quite large as was the bathroom and we had a lovely balcony all to ourselves. I would definitely go back.

A rather cramped hotel, with no natural light letting into our room. Sited dowwn a dark back alleyway, the property seemed more suited to a storeroom than a hotel. Hence my feeling that the room was over priced. However the service provided was very warm and friendly, rather like an old fashioned seaside boarding house with breakfast being individually served. And the rooms were beautifully furnished, with good facilities (eg: electronic mosquito repellent, wireless connection).

Unfortunately without any prior information we were sent to the dependence of Antica Casa Coppo (without any price reduction). The dependence turned out as a one room apartment and was located between Rialto and San Marco Place. The apartment was spacious and clean. The problem with this apartment was, that we had to walk for breakfast every morning (5 min.) to the main building. Different than the main building the dependence is located on one of the main through streets from Rialto to San Marco. Therefore it was impossible to sleep before 12 p.m.. But sleeping in that kind of bed was for taller people like us (1.9 meters) only crosswise possible and the mattress was really hard… We would not recommend this place and we will definitely not stay here again.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. We stayed at the hotel during the opening weekend of Carnivale the location is minutes from St Marks square but secluded enough to allow guests to escape the crowds and rest peacefully in a quiet niche of old Venice. The recent renovation was marvelous. The hotel has been completely redone. The quality of the accomidations was only exceeded by the staff themselves, all were courtous, competent and always ready to help with any request for assistance. I would highly recommend this hotel and fully intend to use the hotel for my future visits.

Once we found the hotel(which was the hardest part)we realised that it is very central and close to st marks square . the best thing to do is to visit the tourist infomation centre at the bus drop off(piazza rome) and pick up a map the lady marked on the map where we had to head but the hotel was very nice if not a little small and the staff were excellent with advise and there help was greatly appreciated
