This Hotel was everything I had hoped it would be; tranquil, relaxing, tasteful and adult. The breakfast was a faultless feast of fresh and inspiring food. Eating by the lake was magical and a fabulous start to the day. The swimming pool was kept exceptionally clean and warm. We had lovely views across the lake from our bedroom windows but chose to kept windows shut to maximise the effect of the air conditioning and keep out midges. The location was idyllic for a romantic and relaxing break. It is not lively and you make your own entertainment. It provides a good opportunity to enjoy simple pleasures. The local ferry and train services are cheap, frequent and easy to use to visit pretty locations around the lake and beyond.

Excellent location and service, although restaurant not open during our stay (Saturday evening). Car parking spaces are limited, less spaces than rooms.

Excellent hotel with staff who are really helpful and go out of there way to make your holiday a good experience. The rooms are great and the hotel is kept in immaculate condition by the owner and his staff. We really could not find any fault with the hotel or the staff and would throughly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nicely situated, but it is lacking a restaurant and also in the town there is not much. I expected a bit more for 4* hotel.

The owners Antonella and Gianluca were lovely and welcoming as were all the staff. The hotel is beautiful and very close to the Sulzano ferry service. We had great dinners at the hotel nearby called Hotel Aquila. The lake fish in particular were very good local dishes. This is great hotel for a relaxing holiday (lake swimming and dips in the pool), as a base for an activity filled holiday (hiking, cycling, canoeing) or for those who fancy exploring Monte Isola and the others towns around the lake. Not really ideal for people who are mainly interested in clubbing and a wild night life.

Highly competent, friendly and discreet staff members who are just around but do not impose themselves, i.e are not overactive and do not pamper you unless you ask for their help. The dynamic staff members blend into the picture, i.e. are not disguised as "servants", but welcome you with a warm hearted smile as your personal hosts. Cosy, natural, relaxed, casual and still stylish and soigné atmosphere all over the place with a touch of exquisite dolce-far-niente. We liked the bar with free internet access and the comprenhensive multilingual library (E/G/F/I) in a beautifully restored cupboard. All furniture seems to have been carefully selected and restored to create that special "Provence" vintage feeling and is still very airy and light in combination with modern elements; we also liked the stunning staircase light design. You just feel free at any moment to unwind and feel at home. Very clean, functional, state of the art and unpompous. Thank you so much!

Hotel Riva Lago on Lake Iseo is a small hotel right at the lakes edge that we have nothing but postive thoughts about and will dream about in the coming months. Antonella and her staff were responsive to every request from the moment I made reservations 11 months in advance and thoughtout our stay. The Junior suites are fabulous with your own spacious deck, the bathrooms were far beyond the best of any on our trip, the breakfasts were superior, an evening cruise on the lake run by the hotel is a memory to cherish. Everthing has been redone of late and the photo's do not do it full justice. Lake Iseo is a part of Italy that has not been discovered by Americans and I hope it stays that way. We never met any other Americans during our stay. As we were leaving on an early train Antonella had breakfast awaiting us in the lobby before we left. We cannot wait to return and make our stay even longer.

Quite one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. From value for money, location , comfort and decor to the helpfulness of the owners and all the staff this hotel is outstanding. Breakfast was good as well with varieties of local produce and the view of the lake sitting outside was exceptional. I will be returning to this hotel soon. Sulzano itself although quite small is a perfect location to explore Lake Iseo. The ferry stop is 2 mins from the hotel and there is a ferry every 15mins to Monte Isola. The restaurant Il Cacciatore is exceptional and is only 5 mins walk from the hotel - but avoid Milano a fish restaurant on Monte Isola quite the worst I have experienced in italy.

The hotel itself was excellent. Very clean, comfortable and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was superb. Position i.e scenery was stunning. It was very hot and an ice machine would have been appreciated! We did have a slight problem locating the hotel and there is a problem with parking. There are not enough spaces for customers to park and for the whole week we had to use the extra parking which was available. This was fine but it was a steep, approximately 400 metre walk, up the road opposite the hotel. For young children or less able visitors this is a definate problem! The location of the hotel was very convenient for taking boats across the lake or the ferry to Monte Isola island where there were some nice restaurants. On the whole we would highly recommend this hotel.

Nicely situated lake-side Lago d'Iseo. Magnificent view from breakfast room. Decent breakfast (by Italian standards). Absolutely quiet. Space in my room (nr.111) was a bit restrained though. Don't miss Monte Isola in the middle of the lake (10 minutes by ferry boat).

This hotel would be hard to match. The attention to detail is perfect. Owners, Gianluca and Antonella, make you feel very relaxed, in a very comfortable and welcoming environment, along with very competent staff. We are looking forward to coming here again some time, and would recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a first class stay in this beautiful part of Italy. It was a very fitting and memorable way for us to spend our 25th wedding anniversary.
