Inn Dolce Casa - Siracusa

Simply fantastic!

We agree with everything on the web page. Especially attention to detail (eg. excellent window mosquito nets). Perhaps map could show distance to Ortiga and main site, also to amazing beach under cliff on the point near the B & B. Provided you have transport difficult to imagine a better place to stay for peace and quiet when visitng Syracuse.

Owner's daughter who welcomed us was a bit withdrawn. Cold milk served for breakfast was sour. Next door guest was heard in loud, long telephone conversation at 5 am. Despite these negatives, owner couple were very kind, pleasant and eager to please. Would consider staying here again.

We were very warmly welcomed by the owners of Dolce Casa. The rooms were not as spacious as expected but it was OK for just one night. The B&B is well located so that you can get quickly to the historical city of Siracusa.

Dolce Casa is really a nice, quiet and beautiful B&B with friendly atmosphere. The patio with its intimate photographs of the owner's family gives the impression to be a private guest at their home. For car drivers with navigation system: It leads you towards the inaccessible back of the estate. It is recommended to follow the Dolce Casa indicators along the roads.

This B&B is well located for visiting Siracusa if you have a car. The place is about 10 minutes drive from the centre and is much quieter and relaxing than staying in town. It took us a while to find the B&B as we missed the small sign off the road so look carefully. The sign is much nearer the road junction than the 1km stated. Once there, the hostess was very welcoming and it was good to not be staying in an impersonal hotel for a change. It all felt clean and safe and the room, though not large, was comfortable. The hostess recommended places to park & eat in Siracusa. We chose 'Osteria de Mariano' which was a great restaurant in old Siracusa. Let them recommend dishes to you - there is no menu. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The breakfast was very good in the B&B and we had a pleasant time chatting with some german guests sharing our experiences of Sicily. A very pleasant stopover!

We spent two nights at Dolce Casa. Comfortable, quiet accommodation on edge of Syracuse (direction Noto). Secure parking. Generous breakfast. Very helpful hints on getting around Syracuse (most necessary!). Also good directions for getting to Dolce Casa on venere.com website.

Dolce Casa was the perfect setting/location and we actually stayed 3 nights rather than the one night that we had originally planned. The proprietors are very accomodating, helpful.
