Stunning landscape, beautiful place and the most gentle and considerate hosts you can imagine! The only real problem was the mosquitoes in our room. Make sure that you get a room that has been debugged.

We can't say enough about this B&B the staff is wonderful and well knowledged. We went for an evening swim the pool was well lit very clean no heavy smell of cholorine. The breakfast in the morning everything was veryyy fresh, the cappuccinos were wonderful we had seconds. we would highly reccomend this B&B to everyone. Thank you Simone and Matteo for everything. Very beautiful peaceful setting with pleasant and comfortable family room and friendly helpful staff. It wasn't real spacious but, for us, the location more than made up for that. Not easy to find without a GPS, especially if you come in after dark, as we did. Breakfasts were good, and we used this as a home base to explore Florence. It was a pretty easy buss ride from the neighboring town. We really enjoyed our stay.

Second time we stayed here. Awesome views of vineyards and Tuscan valley. Room very small and bed quite hard. But service and breakfast and location more than made up for it. Had problem with people staying in room below us....they stayed up very late, smoked heavily and sat on patio under our room so smoke filled our room! I love sleeping with open windows but had to keep our windows closed to keep out noise and smoke.

Needless to say, Tuscany is a must to see! We had stayed in La Fonte for couple of night on the way to San Gimignano and Pisa. Using GPS helped us to locate the road to property. What a location this is! So close to Florence and so remote. Nice wellcome by the property's owner Simone who was kind and helpfull. Fantastic views, quietness of the place, breakfast on the terrace, what more to expect. We recommend Bed & Breakfast La Fonte del Machiavelli to those wishing to explore the Tuscany from one place. Fantastic! We would like to thank to Simone and his staff and we will be back again!

Great place run by the very friendly and helpful Simon and Louie. You'll need a GPS to find the place, but it is very near Florence, which we then used as a base to go to other places in Tuscany. Great breakfast as well. Kids loved the place

we stayed at the Michelangelo room and loved it. the villa and its surroundings are amazing and a great location for traveling in toscana. the staff was very welcoming and helpful. down the road from the villa is a great restaurant. very recommended!

We loved our stay in "La Fonte del Machiavelli"! First of all the location is excellent: easy access from Florence Airport (though hard to find the first time, but we arrived late at night) and a great starting point to explore beautiful Tuscany. The property itself is beautiful, with nice rooms, the best terrace (where breakfast is being served) and a nice pool to take a dip and great for the kids. The room was spacious enough to accomodate the four of us (with 2 set-up beds), and was clean and well maintained, with clean towels whenever we needed them. The airconditioning made it even more comfortable. Breakfast was a treat every day: great cappucinos, sweet croissants, scrambled eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, fresh rolls etc. And all this served (by the very friendly owners) on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Italian landscape. The only small minus is that (far away) you see the highway, which makes you realize that paradise unfortunately does not exist anymore, but this place is getting close to it!

Our experience at the La Fonte del Machiavelli was exceptional. The place is set is one of the most beautiful setting we have ever seen and the hosts were wonderful. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, it was extremely enjoyable. The view from the terrace was out of this world while we ate the best breakfast during our entire trip to Italy. Simone and his staff are great hosts and were extremely helpful including directing us to a wonderful restaurant only a small distance from his facility. The swimming pool was very good and the grounds of the location are extremely beautiful with the flowers and trees. We would highly recommend the La Fonte del Machiavelli and will stay there again on our next trip to Italy.

rooms very very small (in fact, it wasn't a quadriple room !!!), AC system very noisy, and no welcoming !

Great place, stayed 2 nights for wedding near by. The owner and staff provided very good service.

Good quality bed and breakfast accomodation with swimming pool and lovely views. Need to carefully study directions to find but worth all the effort. A very memorable place to stay

The views were amazing from our room. Vineyards and olive trees as far as we could see. The owners were lovely and gave us a great recommendation for dinner at a local restaurant. Even though we had maps, it was still difficult to find as there are two roads off SR 2 with the same name (Via Scopeti).

A wonderful place in the peace and tranquility of the Tuscan countryside and yet very near to Florence. The hosts were wonderful except communication was an issue as our spoken Italian was non existent. We would have loved to have had conversations with the hosts as the property obviously has a great history. The terrace was lovely for a pre-dinner drink. The breakfast was very good and sereved in a lovely room overlooking the view. We wish we had had more time to stay at this B&B and that our Italian had been better as the hosts seemed like very interesting and friendly people. The only downside is that local dining options are limited.
