Pension Elisabeth - Salzburg

Asked for somewhere close to eat and got sent about 800m up the road - past about 5 other food outlets. Couldn't use the parking because it was constantly full and no internet. But otherwise was nice.

Our room was smoking,so it was problem for us.We requested receptionist to change room,but hotel was full.But the maid used spray and the air in the room got better.

We expected easy parking, but thay had limited spaces and they were full. So when all the parking spaces were full we had to park in the short parking zone. The room was spacy, but very warm. Furthermore the room was clean, only de bedsheets had holes in them.

I would put TV and Skylink set on the shelf somewhere on the wall, not on the table. In this way guests have more space on the table.

The hotel is very clean and well-organized. The stuff is friendly and helpful. But we're unlucky -- my roomate accidently closed our room door the night we arrived there while I was in the shared bathroom. The only key was on the table inside and the stuff is off-duty then. The notice board had a phone number and said customers could call for help when stuff is off-duty, but have to pay a service fee and taxi fee for stuff to come and help. We did that and paid 45 euros in total.

This was my second stay here. This time my friend Judy and I were on our return home to Canada and were looking for somewhere to sleep prior to train to Munich. This was ideal and when we said we needed to leave by 6:15am the lady offered to fix us a breakfast to go and coffee in the morning. It was great and we had a great sleep. Anna LeRue, N.S. Canada

It's very close to the train station if you find the right way.

Reasonable price with free simple breakfast. it is strange that the reception counter was close from 12.00 to 4.00pm on that Sunday and we could not leave our baggage there after checking out.

A good place for short stay in Salzburg.

The room smelled like smoke and the location was very far from city centre. Nice welcome but the price is not sufficiently low for the service provided.

We were there for the first time. We had a very good time at the Hotel, and this is very close to Hauptbahnhof! We were pleased with everything! :)

We stay at the hotel for 4 nights. The room was a little small but clean and quiet. Shared bathroom and toilet was clean and generally we didn't encounter any problem. The stuff was friendly and really help us get around Salzburg. Great for the price, we just got what we were waiting for!

THE ONLY FAULT THAT WE FOUND WAS THE CONSTANT ROAD NOISE AND COBWEBS ALL AROUND THE ROOM AND TOO FAR OUT OF TOWN.ALL STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND POLITE.

What a wonderful staff and great location. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. The breakfast was delightful.

An easy walk down to the river and shopping. Nice room but smelled very smokey. "Breakfast" was minimal... rolls, coffee & juice. Anything else had to be purchased.

While the ad did not promise anything spectacular based on the price, we did not enjoy our stay here. It was loud, because it is located on a busy street, and the breakfst was disappointing. Not at all what we expected. Live and learn!

Negative aspect that the rooms lack bath, as well as the pension of elevator. It is removed from the center, but with the bus 41 it comes near very well.

The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to guide us around the sights to see and the local transportation in Salzburg.

Simple but good breakfast- fresh warm kaiser rolls mmm. First place (but certainly not the last) we discovered that a double bed is often just two singles pushed together. Salzburgh very pretty but not a huge amount to do there- go to the saltmines though, great trip. We used our Eurail passes to get there and it cost us less than half of what they were charging for tours from Salzburg and still no stress getting there and around- you have a guide down the mine anyway.

This was my first time in Salzburg, Austria. The first two elements I chose the accomodation were rate and location. Pension Elisabeth met my need. The pension atmosphere was so nice, so was the room. The thing I liked most was the guest information file (A to Z)which I found in the room. It gave us some useful information both in English and German. The staff was also helpful when we needed some advice. If I have a chance to go to Salzburg again, I will surely stay in Pension Elisabeth. And I will recommend it to my friends.

Very near to the railway station but a little far from the city centre. very friendly staff... good service....value for money...

Pension Elisabeth was excellent accommodation, a little out of Salzburg but Salzburg was easily accessed by the bus across the road. It was an easy 10 minute walk from the station to the accommodation, directions given very explicit. For accommodation rated as 1 star it was far superior to other accommodation we have used of higher star rating.

This hotel whilst a Pension was one of the best we stayed in, the staff were better than any other hotel I have been in

Good location if you're traveling by train. Easy to get to key tourist places with bus stop right at hotel (we also walked to tourist sights).

Its a brillant pension , but a little far ...we felt it as that day it was rainning ...but its a 20 - 25 mins walk to the city center. The walk is unlike other places where you get to explore the city . its like a subarab , but there is bus stop just outside the pension which takes you to the city center , but be careful in th night when you returning from the city center as there are no buses after 11.30 pm to the pension.The best advantage is that is near the the main station , so if yiou taking a train to arrive , its a 5- 10 mins walk to the pension. The staff is very helpful answer all your queries. There is no seperate luggage room , but the staff is quite coperative in keeping the luggage at the reception. but at same price i believe you can get a pension near the congress center ..which is coinnected to the center well.
