This was our 2nd 2-week holiday in Italy, spending time in 6 different cities. Roman Residence was the ideal hotel for us: 5-minute walk to Roma Termini, the most knowledgeable and experienced and helpful proprietor one could ask for, more amenities provided than any other hotel (such as a complimentary well-stocked mini-bar), the most comfortable beds, spotless rooms, the proprietor speaks excellent English and knows Rome as only a life-long Roman can. The highest recommendation from me.

The location is perfect, just about 5 mins from central station. The owner, Massimo is so nice with good hospitality. We slept very well in all 3 nights. Must recommend Roman Residence to my friend and will stay here when I come to Rome again.

We stayed here just one night in August 2009. Mossimo was a fabulous host, generous with his helpful hints on where to eat and directions to places we wanted to go. We had the lovely room with the bathroom used in the promotional photos. Clean, neat and sparkling. We arrived later than expected but Mossimo was there waiting on the doorstep for us to ensure we didn't miss the building which housed various accommodations by a variety of owners. It was very warm and the airconditioner struggled to even meet moderate temperatures but this seems to be the way things are in much of Italy including on the trains. We'd definately stay here again.

Massimo couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming...he even let us leave some luggage there while we went off to Amalfi. And the sweet family that runs the coffee bar was a real plus. The room was unexpectedly large and very quiet, especially considering the location on a busy street. Would definitely return.

My husband and I are from Austrlia and stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon. We stayed at 3 places in Rome on our trip (we came to Rome 3 times and stayed somewhere different each time) and of all the places we probably liked this one best. The rooms were modern and spacious and Mussimo, our host was terrific. The location was great - close to the station and a good base for exploring. The only negative thing was that the bed was a bit squeeky.

We loved our stay in Rome. Roman Residence is three blocks from Termini - gateway to all transportation in Rome. Massimo and his staff made us feel welcome and his suggestions, help and advice were priceless. We had the pleasure of starting each day with the beautiful smile and warm greeting of the lovely cleaning lady. Our room was very modern clean and quiet though no view. Who stays in looking out windows? It's Rome! Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to family and friends. Thank you Massimo. Hope we meet again.

My boyfriend and I traveled Italy in July, keeping our itinerary flexible (booking hotels 1-2 days in advance since we like the freedom of exploring as we go). We got lucky and secured a room (of their four rooms) for two nights at the Roman Residence. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building (with elevator access) 1-2 blocks (about a 5 minute walk) from the central train station. Being able to walk to the hotel was handy since we didn't have to carry our bags far, pay for a cab, or figure out the bus system right away. And, we ended up going back to the station to buy the Roma card and catch buses to the sights. Since we arrived in the morning by train, we asked if we could drop our bags off until our room was ready. The staff was friendly and helpful and had the room ready for us by 10:30 am. Also, they gave us vouchers for breakfast at the most delicious cafe on the block. Of all the breakfasts we had in Italy, the breakfasts at the cafe were hands down the most plentiful AND most delicious. Every morning, we had coffee, yogurt, fresh croissants/pastries (their nutella croissants are to die for), fresh juice, AND a pannini. Neither of us could finish all the food we were given! The breakfasts were so tasty and generous, we didn't need to stop for lunch. That gave us more time to explore the city (and us cash, which we splurged on fantastic dinners). Everyone at the Roman Residence was friendly and helpful whether we had questions about the room or getting around the city. The rooms were clean and spacious with excellent air conditioning. My only suggestion is for more hooks or shelves in the bathroom. (But if that's the worst thing I can say about a place, I'll take it!). They even insisted that we take complimentary cold bottles of water when we left for Naples to see Pompeii because it was so hot outside. We will definitely come back to the Roman Residence. Our romantic and magical experience in Rome was enhanced by this excellent hotel.

Owner, Mossimo, went out of his way to be sure we had everything we needed - from maps with our sights circled, to dining recommendations, and a surprise bottle of wine in the room. Location is very close to Roma Termini (metro stops there, as well), but on a relatively nice avenue. Good for sightseers or businessmen who are busy and "on the go".

Roman Residence is a modern, spotless hotel. The owners Stefano and Massimo do everything they can to make your stay perfect. They will give you advice about tipping, cab fares, places to eat, places to see and directions on how to get there. They also add the special touches like a bottle of water on your nightstand. It is a great value for the money and excellent location.

What a great choice to stay here! The rooms are only a year old since being re-done and are in great shape. The mini fridge with complimentary water was a life saver and the safe came in handy as well, although we never felt that we really needed it. Stephano was the best host we could ever ask for. His hospitality was above and beyond and his directions were perfect. The breakfast at the cafe down the street was a true italian atmosphere with great fresh squeezed orange juice and the best cappuchino. It is on a main street that feels very safe and is honestly only a 5 minute walk to the train station and metro. All we can say is a huge thank you to everyone at Roman Residence for making our trip extra special!! You really can't go wrong with choosing to stay with Massimo and Stephano at Roman Residence!

Lovely four bedroom hotel. Very quiet given that the hotel is on a busy street (rooms face a courtyard). Room was serviced every day and one day we came back from sightseeing to find a bottle of wine in our room. Location is great, particulary if you come/leave Rome via train, easy to get to all tourist destinations. There is a lift in the hotel and rooms have air conditioning. Massimo is a great host. Breakfast at a local cafe (included with room rate) was very nice -- great food and great people watching.

The two men who run this hotel are superb. They answered all of our questions, helped us navigate where we wanted to go in the city, and overall took very good care of us during our stay. The rooms were cleaned each day, with fresh towels given and bottled water replenished everyday. The location was great to get to Roma Termini.

we were a couple on holidays. Location perfect 5 minutes walking from the railstatio "Termini" Small hotel on a third floor, everything new, quiet and the staff - Massimo- very friendly.
