While travelling in Europe we have stayed at 7 hotels and this one was the worst of them. This is not a hotel, but should be described as a hostel. After we booked the hotel we received email that the actual location is not what it says on the website. But the location turned out to be the best feature of the property. It was located right next to Pantheon. Everything else was really bad - the room was tiny(even compared to European hotels), dark (half the lights were not working), room hasn't been cleaned or towels changed for all 3 days we stayed there. No toiletries were provided, except for hand soap. Breakfast consisted of very poorly made coffee, packaged toasts and biscuit and jams. Definitely wouldn't classify as "bed and breakfast". Wouldn't stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Don't let the somewhat shabby entranceway to the building bother you. This is a lovely B&B with an exceptional location, close to Campo dei Fiori and Largo Argentina. It's on a busy side street and is very safe, and is very walkable to many of the tourist sites. It has an elevator to the B&B's floor. Ask the hostess to show you how to unlock the building's doors. They are a bit tricky at first. The B&B was an exceptional value and I would happily stay there again.

The accommodation provided was not that booked. When we arrived we were sent to Via Monterone 9, where we were offered 2 apartments. The stairs were very steep and in 1 apartment, which we declined, there was a ladder to reach the bed. Breakfast was not provided.

Great location, larger rooms. Crappy breakfast, staff rarely around, ants in the room, and poorly/minimally decorated.

If you are an indipendent person, this place is gorgeous. If you irritate easily you can most surely find faults, I didn't; simply be aware that you are in the centre of a big city where people walk and talk 24/24. I utterly enjoyed my stay

Superb location, safe and convenient to all transportation. Short walk to all key piazzas and sites, Tiber River including under-rated Jewish quarter. Wonderful dining, cafes, and shopping just steps away in Campo de' Fiori (market place during the day), blocks away from the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Gesu, the Piazza Venezia and ten minutes to the Trevi Fountain. Largo di Torre Argentina at end of street. Very helpful and competent staff provided all amenities/transportation promised and necessary for comfortable and memorable stay. Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again.

On our way into Rome, we received a phone call to say that our room at A Via dei Giubbonari was not available and we would be put in an apartment instead. A pleasant young woman met us at the door of the B&B and led us to a fairly grotty street, up two flights of shabby and precipitous stairs to a small room, clean admittedly, with a tiny very basic corridor of a bathroom and a poorly equipped kitchen corner. The bed was up in a loft, hot in spite of air conditioning because it was a low roof space, and accessed by a sort of ladder. Fortunately we do not have any mobility problems (although we had to climb down the ladder backwards) but the hosts had no way of knowing whether we were capable of negotiating the uneven stairs much less the ladder. No breakfast was available - their offer was to pay the Rome city guest tax in lieu of the meal, but the accommodation was ludicrous for the charge of 94 euro per night.

Superb location. Service very friendly, staff immensly helpful (Orlando repaired my bag, broken by the taxi driver, so that I managed to get back home with it! Grazie mille, Orlando!). Room (+ bathroom) spotless, though a bit noisy. Very effective heating. No luxury, no fuss, but excellent value for the price. I'll certainly be back! I sure recommend!

The location is perfect. The buses is one block away. Public kitchen with availability to make your own food. We also had a own fridge in the room. Could be some noise of the traffic running outside all day, but the A/C in the room let you close the window if necessarily :)

The staff is very nice, but I don't think we will stay there again because it is very noisy at night (3 of the 4 rooms face the via Giubbonari). However the price is good, the rooms are comfortable and the location is unbeatable.

Really big spacious rooms with ensuites - everything was perfect -apart from not having internet... which I needed, however there is a good place just down the road for that. Good breakfast, typical italian. Really nice staff and great location! - i'm coming back :)

This whole place was very dinghy and badly in need of renovation. The person in charge was not there if needed, except at breakfast and we were left entirely on our own if a problem arose. I realize that it was a bed and breakfast and not a hotel, however, it was not a place that I would stay at ever again. Also, I had never stayed near the Campo before, and would not ever again. The area was very dirty, especially after the market left in the morning.

Horrible experiencia.

The only issues we had with the b&b was the fact that no one was there to greet us on arrival, so we had to ring the company and wait for quite a long time. Also, there was no hot water! Apart from that, a fantastic stay. Mirela helped us a lot and gave us a lovely breakfast. Location of the b&b is excellent.

This Bed and Breakfast was very nice inside with spacious clean rooms. The staff were very friendly and it was in walking distance from many tourist attractions. The only negative comment is the fact that although the location was ideal, it was very noisy and the street in front of the B&B often had homeless people with their dogs. Although the front was sketchy, it was great inside.

Nice place, clean and very well situated. This is not a place where you want to spend time but the aim in Rome is to be out all day long. In the center, the B&B is close to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona so very nice situation. You can walk almost to every site.

I was a first time traveler to Italy and was very pleased with A Via dei Giubbonari 23. One recommendation is to make sure to call in advance to let them know when you will be arriving, otherwise they may not be there. I forgot to do this and had a little trouble tracking down a phone. Once I called they were very prompt to let me into the building.

We had a really bad experience. We arrived and had to wait for almost an hour(with all of our luggage in the middle of the street) for someone to show up and open the apartment. We had planned to stay two nights and then we were supposed to leave for Florence and come back two days later. (We had booked this in advance, of course) They had our reservation for the first two nights but were not very sure about the other three nights. They told us not to worry and asked if we would mind being moved to a different apartment five blocks away. We were not happy, but we agreed. We left our luggage. We called from Florence to confirm time of arrival and we were informed that we had to stay in an apartment in Via dei Pellegrino for one night and then we had to move again to a third facility (Pantheon)for the other two nights left. On top of these changes, they couldn't offer to take our luggage. So, we arrived at night, had to pick up our things and were supposed to take them to a different appartment. We picked our luggage at night but obviously decided to cancell our reservation and we moved to a different hotel. Location is great, rooms are gloomy but clean ... Staff... can't be trusted!! We would never book Via dei Giubbonari again!!

Via Giubbonari 23 has a great location, offers great accommodation close to almost everything in Rome. Marinella looked after us beautifully, plenty of breakfast (though a trifle sugary). Our room was noisy as we wanted two beds and the only one is at the front of the building. One quibble: the owners preferred cash on arrival (and had emailed so)but Venere hadn't mentioned this. Would be better if both rganisations could give identical info.

Simple and good B&B. Small rooms, some of them with very little daylight. Accommodation appropriate, clean. Surprisingly calm although it is located right next to one of the most frequented squares. Recommendable for a short stay for sightseeing in the historical area of Rome.

We were totally happy with every aspect of our stay except the street noise level. The establishment is in a busy place, and the noise is not their fault at all, but it was noisy. We loved the central locational and easy walking to sites and public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us deal easily with a transporation strike when we were trying to get to the airport. Make sure to arrange a time for check-in. We did wait a little for desk service.

Our hosts Donatella and Leonardo were very welcoming and a pleasure to stay with. The house was wonderful and the room we stayed in was impeccable and we even enjoyed tne luxury of a jacuzzi in the bathroom. When they found out it was my husbands birthday a tray with champagne, glasses and a beautiful red rose appeared in our room - how very thoughtful. We would highly recommend this accommodation for location and the best in quality and hospitality.
