The staff working there isn't interested in providing service to their customers. When their cardswiper broke they didn't tell the people living there until it was time to check out. Running around and finding a functioning ATM in the middle of the night in THAT neighbourhood isn't the dream scenario. This without even an apology.

It was good considering the price we paid. The front desk lady was quite helpful, but the other helps could not speak English at all. It was good for a short stay. Breakfast was in room as they have no common room at all. Have to climb a floor up to reach the tiny lift.

Sole e Luna gives very good quality for the price you pay. Laura was very helpfull. We stayed in Rome when the vulcano ashcloud came over Europe. We could not fly back. Laura, the owner, said: "I don't want you to sleep in the street, ofcourse you can stay". So we were very lucky to stay at Sole e Luna. There was a computer available for the guests so we could use internet wich was very easy for us. We could walk to the center and the Terminal Station, so it's a very good location. Nearby you find several nice restaurants. We can advise everybody to stay at Bed & Breakfast Sole e Luna.

The room was pretty decent, but don't try checking out early because no one is at the front desk before 8:00. The view is terrific and the room gets a lot of light on sunny days. The bed was pretty comfortable. The room has tile floors and a shared bathroom, things to keep in mind.

The lady on the desk was very helpful any advice required she would help. I carried my case up 4 floors and there was a lift there.dope The room and ensuite were basic and clean, towels changed every day and the rooms cleaned and beds made every day, could not fault the accomodation. Outside on the via merulana there are bars shops etc. It is as central as need be, walking distance from termini station, we had a taxi because it was night time and then the driver took us on a wild goose chase up and down streets etc, i knew he was trying to make a fare because i had already done my research of the area online, when we got to the destination it said 9 euro on the meter so i offered him 10 he then demanded 15 so i told him where to go, he hung about for a minute then just drove of. It should have took 2 mins in a taxi but it took nearly 10, we walked there on the day we were leaving with case 8 mins. We walked to collisseum 10mins, just before you get there turn left down a slight hill there is a trattoria on the right hand corner called Luzzis, selling all italian food very reasonable and popular, we went there a few times couldnt fault it. walked most of the time and used public transport did not use taxi after first experience.Iff you use the small bars cheaper to stand at counter and drink if you sit down the price escalates.

Wonderful experience. Great location. Very close to everything, as well as a Metro station. Very helpful staff. Recommended a great resturaunt that was not too expensive. Would stay again. Felt more like we had a private flat than a hotel.

We are young couple with little baby (three months) and we ve been very satisfated with Sole e Luna:) Very nice place, nice service, very clean and close to Coloseum. Hotel is on 4th floor but with lift. One weaker side of of our stay were small italian breakfast - we are use to a bigger ones but coffees were delicious:) We recomend Sole a Luna even if you are traveling with little children.

A good hotel in general, but rather a long distance walking to Coleseum (15 min). Breakfast is very poor, served in the room. So no chance to use the kitchen and communicate with other guests. The street noise is heard in the rooms and hinders sleeping. There is free internet access. The staff is rather friendly but not that helpful.

Staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendation and advice for bus routes etc. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic. Quite a lot of noise from the roads. Overall very happy for the price.

My friends and I had a great stay at Sole e Luna in July 2009. We were welcomed very friendly by Laura and she was very helpful during our entire stay in Rome. She helped ous to find a supermarket and those necessary facilities and informed us about where to go the best at night. Everything worked fine, the location in the heart of Rome is recommendable, especially due to the proximity of the Colosseum and the local public transport system. We had a triple room with shared bathroom. Also the fact that we had to share the bathroom didn't have any negative consequences. It's rather interesting to get to know other people. Only problem: breakfast didn't always come exactly ( +- 15 mins ) at the time that we had wished ( which was a bit difficult due to our tensed schedule ) , but that wasn't a serious problem. I recommend Sole e Luna especially to young people, willing to get new experiences and really "live" Rome as well as to all of those who appreciate heartiness and accept the simplicity ( which means that there's not too much luxury, but: you've everything you need and it's always very clean ) of this great location. We'll return there next time, of course.

We absolutely loved staying at Sole e Luna. The hostess was so kind and helpful. She spent two days trying to call our airline to find our bags for us, and had them delivered to our room. The location was great on a quiet street, a few steps away from a subway line and a bus stop, or walking distance from the Coloseum and good restaurants. There isn't an a/c in the room but we managed with keeping the windows open at night (we were there end of May), but this then made it noisier as there was a nearby restaurant. It is a shared bathroom but it is kept very clean. The breakfast is simple - crossaints, coffee, juice, and maybe yogurt - but delivered to your room each morning at a time you request, which is nice to have breakfast in bed. Our only major problem was in finding the place. We found it very difficult to find from the Termini train station given the map/directions on here and no one was answering the hotel phone when we were lost. Other than that, we had a very nice stay and would go again!

We only had one night here before travelling to Sorrento. The hotel was excellent. It is an easy walk to the station if you are not tired. We did catch a shuttle from the airport as it is about 1.5km from the station. We did, however, walk to station the next day. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good. The rooms were a good size with plenty of hot water. The hotel is close to many of the major tourist attractions.

Great value and excellent service. The apartment where we stayed (I think the hotel has 2) only had 4 rooms for 2 bathrooms so there never was a queue. The baths were much better than what we expected. The front street has lots of traffic going on but the hotel is at the 4th floor. The street has dense and tall sycamore (plane) trees that keep the sun at bay. Also the street is civil and the hotel seems pretty safe behind several gates locked at all time (you get a set of keys). There is a short walk from the Colosseum if you take the secondary street just across the street: after a relatively short walk you are in the Domus Aurea park. For us the location was great (but we are used to, and like walking long distances) and will certainly have sole e luna as our first choice next time we visit Rome.
