Our stay was very pleasant. Rooms were clean but I must have missed the info which stated shared bathroom so was a bit disappointed about that. Owner was welcoming and friendly. One annoyance which was a noisy hum of a motor possibly refrigerator outside window which was disturbing. Closed window but still in background. Close to Rome Termini and a nice restaurant La Familia.

Very nice guesthouse near the Termini. Quiet, clean and cozy. The owner Emanuela is a very friendful and healpful, she lives next door. A great value for money for a budget guesthouse. Good location - 5 min by walk to Termini and metro. Quiet area with some nice restaurants. Clean rooms and shared bathrooms. We liked it a lot. I recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for its location. The hotel is within 10 minutes walk from Rome Termini train station. There are excellent Italian restaurants and shops nearby. It is a 4-room apartment with 2 shared bathrooms. The room is clean and quiet, but with no shampoo/soap provided. Bathroom is very small and one of the showers has very short shower curtain and caused flooded floor after the shower. All in all, it was a good place for short stay.

Soggiorno Emanuela is a good residence for going out in the morning and coming back at night for sleeping. The position is perfect and stuff is kind and helpful. The price is also not bad coming with the position, but in Rome every thing is expensive and also hotel!

Very close to Termini Station (Inter-City Station) which is a BIG plus. Surrounded by good eating places with affordable prices. Though there is free internet, the connection is not good. Lady owner, Emmanuela speaks English and is friendly and can advice on places of interest. It comes with 2 shared toilet/bath which are clean. However, the toilets can be quite chilly for South East Asians due to window ventilation. No kitchen and lack of hot water facility would make it difficult for those with small children.

The accomodation is really nice, clean and spacious. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, cleaned every day even when we were the only ones in the place. The inn is located in a strategic location, within walking distance from the Termini station. We've seen all the most important places in Rome by foot!

We had a wonderfull time. We looked for a cheap but clean and safe place and this was absolute "bingo!". Very clean, cleaned every day even when we were the only ones in the place. Very safe: the building, area, hostel and the room. Safe, but still in a perfect location, 7min from Termini station by foot. (I wouldn't prefer to stay somwhere closer to the Termini because closer areas didn't feel so safe for me). We've seen all the mot important places in Rome by foot! No bus, no metro! That's a location! There is wi-fi, not in rooms but in the hall- but it's ok. It was SO important in this weird city, where wi-fi is NOT so easy to find- trust me (f.e. in McDonalds you cannot use it without italian cell-card). For this price it was EXCELLENT. Next time, I'd only bring my own towells with me: there were towells but lean. Emanuela is an amazing, warm person and was very very helpful to us. Maybe it's not for people who looks for beautiful rooms (new furniture etc;) and not-shared bathroom in the room.

Hard to find, poor signage, managers were in and out of floor frequently, we had to accommodate the managers as to the exact time we would arrive which was impossible. We lost considerable money on tickets we couldn't use because we arrived earlier than previously indicated and they were not available. Very basic accommodations,

The best part about this place is how sweet, available, and helpful Emanuela is! The rooms and bathrooms were nice, especially at the price, and it's very conveniently located near Termini Station. She was very understanding about helping us out with a weird group situation with people in and out on different days, and didn't make us switch around rooms several times or charge extra. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Rome.

The location is good if you want to visit the city. The train station and metro station is near, and also some places you can reach by foot from here. I spent all day in the city and needed one place almost just for sleep, this place was perfect for this. Altough I met Emanuela rarely, she seemed really kind.:-)

There is a charming little restaurant right next door and the hotel is very close to the Termini Train Station. This was an ideal place to stay when we were in Rome. It was basic and met our budget but it was clean, very welcoming, (Emanuela was particularly friendly), close to the train station and easy to find. We arrived late in the evening and were able to get dinner just before 11 in a friendly restuarant a few doors down on the same street. All the sights of the city are within walking distance from here, I'm 7 months pregnant and did it all on foot. I would have no hesitation recommending this accommodation and if we return to Rome we would stay again.

The hotel is really just a converted apartment next to the owner's real apartment in the area near the Roma Termini train station. The area isn't the greatest place or the cleanest but is close to the important things (train, metro, restaurants). There is an elevator (big plus if you don't pack lightly). There are four rooms and two shared bathrooms. The bathrooms clearly used to be one room and were converted in two with a partition wall that doesn't offer much privacy. On the bright side there is a common fridge for waters, snacks, etc. The owner is clearly all business but tries to be at least a little welcoming. There is a sign saying she will charge 5% for credit cards which was never noted online. However, when I brought this up she did not charge the 5%. Overall it was a fine place to stay but could have been a little nicer for the money. This was the most expensive place we stayed in Italy but based on room quality, cleanliness, and service I would have guessed it would have been one of the cheaper ones. There wasn't much of a charm factor, the bed were pretty uncomfortable, and only one set of towels per stay. Overall, it appeared reasonably priced for Rome and was a place to sleep that was fairly clean and fairly quiet.

We had a great stay at soggiorno emanuela. It is clean, well connected with public transport and not expensive. The perfect place for a short (3/4 days) stay in Rome. Two remarks: I had specified our arrival time at 11pm, when we arrived at 10pm there was no-one there. This caused some stress, but that was unnecessary because at 11pm the land-lady was there. The area is very central (500m from the central station), but is not very characteristic, it is full of hotels.

We stayed in Rome at Soggiorno Emanuela for 5 days and it was great. Originally we were booked at a location within walking distance to the Tremini station, but the owner relocated us (husband drove us) to a location across the street from PZ. Dante. It was perfect. Quite, a quick walk (5 minutes) to the Metro line, 2 minutes to cafe (this is a bed not breakfest, but we knew to expect that so it was no problem). The room was tight (we had 2 adults, our Mother and a teenage girl) but since the room was for sleeping it worked out perfect. The common area was nice, it allowed us to have a light dinner several nights at the location (cold cuts, bread, oil & vinager, tomatoes and cheese). Read the information on the web-sight it told us what to expect, so there were no suprises. It was a perfect location, and I would recommend using Soggiorno Emanuela again.

We didn't have any problems staying at this bed and breakfast. The staff was polite. Walking distance from Termini (about 5 minutes if you know where you are going). Big room with tree separate beds (triple room). Shared bathroom, two showers, two toilets, 3 or 4 rooms. The bed and breakfast does not have a reception, and the doors are locked. So you have to call in. Overall good value for the money.

Restaurants in area. Grocery 1 block away. Very secure and quiet. Soggiorno Emanuela is actually 2 separate locations. We were south of the train station, several blocks from Metro; 2 rooms at that location, 1 for 3 guests and 1 for 4 people. Larger room was large enough for 4 people (2 men & 2 women. We were traveling in a budget, and this was a nice facility for the money. We were not into fancy, just clean and quiet, and this fit the bill. It is located by the train station (a 5-10min. walk) which was great at night to easily find a bus, and in the morning we were headed out on train, so this was great! Emanuela was nice and friendly. I only stayed at Soggiorno Emanuela for one night. My plan was to crash by Termini station as my flight got in late and I was going to stay by Piazza Navona the rest of my trip. S.E. is located very close to Termini, not hard to find at all. My only qualm with the place was that no towels were provided. Well, also, it was not mentioned that I had the possibility of sharing the room with two other people (3 single beds) - however I had the room all to myself that night. No breakfast included, but there's a cute bar downstairs. I'm not sure it was worth 50 euro for the night, but it was a good place to catch up on sleep.

Soggiorno Emanuela is an excellent place to stay, and is in a side-street off a very busy area! (The Termini and Republicca complex are both very close by!). Its also on the same street as Giulianis Cafe, a great late-night stop for a coffee, cake, and amaretto !! I found the area to be very safe to walk around in (even at night!) and the residence very secure with trustworthy staff. The comfort of the stay and ease of its central location helped to make the holiday an enjoyable one. Well recommended!!

It was a pleasant stay in Soggiorno Emanuela. It was really close to Termini Station, at the same time very quiet. The room and bathrooms were a bit used, though very clean. Strange, that there were no hangers to hang your towels in the room, although there was a little wash basin (unfortunately with cold water, only). What we didn't like, is the old type floor tiles, some carpet could have made the place more home-like, but anyway, it is like this in many places in Italy. There was no breakfast served at all, but we didn't mind, there was a nice coffee shop nearby. I would recommend this place to everybody who doesn't need luxury but wants a clean place just to shower and sleep im a comfortable bed.

This was a great learning experience for us, and this apartment is perfect for those who are looking for something different than a hotel. The apartment we stayed in was spotless, the rooms quite large and located on a beautiful Piazza within a healthy walk of the Colesseo. However, this was my first experience in booking a private apartment. I didn't realize that we had to adhere to a STRICT arrival time, and we had to email an arrival time in advance. I guessed we’d arrive between 6-7PM. As we were driving into Rome from Florence, and got to the city just before 7pm but it took over 2 hours to find our way to the place thru Rome's notorious traffic. Although the owners of the apartment were extremely pleasant, we also knew they were very upset to have had to wait for our arrival. Additionally, we were told that we were being relocated to a different apartment, not far from where we booked / expected to stay. The new apartment was very clean and quite spacious. It is either newly acquired or under renovation, but the lighting is very industrial. Most importantly, I never realized that if we hadn’t rented both bedrooms of a two-bedroom apartment, we could be sharing it with strangers. And in this case, one of the owners had a shop on the same street and used the common areas of the apartment for frequent coffee breaks. As there were six of us (three being teenage girls) all sharing one-bathroom, it was impossible to be ready and out of the apartment every morning for the mandatory evacuation when the house-keeper arrived. It wasn’t until the third day that we figured out three people had to shower at night, and 3 in the morning – and it required everyone to get wet, turn OFF the water, lather up and then quickly rinse, so the second and third person would not have to wait an hour or more for the water to heat up. If you are accustom to this and want a non-tradition hotel experience, I would recommend booking with the owners of Soggiorno Emanuel

The addresson the Venere site turned out to be the owner's residence and we were taken to a different place (Piazza Dante) that was much further from the train station. City does not take care of that part of the city as well as other parts. On the positive side, it was 10 min. walking from the Colliseum. I wish the apartment was a bit more home-looking - it looks more like a dorm. Pros: very clean, secure, nice advanced coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Owners provided us with a city map. Cons: water heater quickly runs out of water, no basic kitchen utensils, like forks or knives. There are some traces of unfinished repairs like wires sticking out of the wall.

Close to Stazione Termini but quiet. Compared to other accomodations fair price. Signora Emanuela is very kind and helpful. I will certainly choose this accomodation the next time when being at Rome.

We had an excellent stay. The room was clean, and Emanuela and her famlily were extremely friendly and accomodating. After taking tours of Rome all day on New Year's Eve, we came back to our room to find a bottle of champagne and a fruit cake from Emanuela waiting for us. We would definitely recommend this to anyone.

there is no hot drinking-water in public area. We do not need coffee, tea or some other drinks, but it is better to offer kettle in public area. Anyway, the service is good for us, especially for the gift of the end of 2005.

Soggiorno Emanuela offered nice, clean rooms and a good breakfast. The service was very friendly and we got good advices for our stays in Rome and Naples. I can recommend it to every visitor with limited money.

very clean and friendly room. Unfortunately bathroom shared with other rooms and no place inside the room to append towels. Small but important things for comfort missing in rooms. Second seat maybe more important than TV...
