We are in our fifties and have travelled Europe more than 5 times, so this was not our first trip or first hotel in Italy. I was very disappointed. This is not a hotel, it is a Youth Hostel. There is absolutely no service whatsoever. There is no front desk. In case of emergency there is nobody to assist you with anything. They show up around 9 am and they are gone by 2 pm. If you do not catch them, you are on your , if you get lucky and find them in their closet like office in another building with no elevators they misinform and lie to your face. We had to beg for soaps, and extra pillow, We had to share shampoo and hair dryer with four other rooms. they keep these stuff in the foyer with four rooms in that floor. We nearly paid $200 a night. It is a complete rip off. We could not find them the night before our flight to ask for Taxi. No wake up call, no alarm clock, and no phones. We had to practically stay awake no to miss our flight since there were no phones and no wake up calls. W soon realized that the hotel next door, called Roseta, had 24 hours service, better rooms and they were $40 cheaper per night. You will regret it if you stay there. The only true statement about this place was its location and easy access to everywhere. Remember, absolutely NO SERVICE. I had a worse experience, Please stay away from them. Good luck and enjoy Roma.

Location is great, thanks to Easter celebrations street was closed to traffic otherwise it would be very noisy at nights. Hotel is nothing special but for a short stay is OK!

Stay away from room nr 1. You will hear the trafficnoise very much. The room is also small. We got another room i the Rosetta building, roomnumber D4 and that was ok. City tax can not be paid by card. We have not experienced that in other hotels.

Right in the centre of Rome 2 minutes from the Coliseum. We were collected at the airport by staff (€46 June 2013) Room was up 6 flights of stairs with no lift. Fine for us but not all. Accommodation met our needs for three nights. Tea and coffee making facilities were behind a desk just outside our room and also umbrellas in case of bad weather!. Staff were helpful and pleasant although we only saw them when we arrived and when we left! Suited us fine.I'm sure we could have raised them if needed. Could have done with a safe as we had to carry our valuables everywhere we went.

Great staff, great location. Third floor, but steps are not steep. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Not far from Colosseum or Termini. Classic Rome property, older but well maintained. we were very happy with our choice.

Great budget priced single room with ensuite in an apartment block, close to the Colosseum and Forum. Very quiet even though located beside a busy street. Breakfast (not included) available a few metres from the front door.

We really enjoyed our stay. Andreas was the perfect host. He went way out of his way to make sure our stay in Rome was perfect. Great location. Great price. Super clean and comfy. Superb beds. Excellent A/C. If you want a truly authentic experience, this is the place to stay. Our whole family will remember the San Daniele for a long time!

I stayed in a single room and the people running the hotel were very helpful. They carried my bag up the stairs when I arrived and down the stairs when I left, booked tours for me, and let me use their phone when I needed as there was no phone in the room.

Very good location - near colliseum; close to metro and bus stops; close to termini about 20 min walk (but not too close for strange guys around the station); Very secure place in the center; We have very quiet room. They gave us triple instead of double. Wi fi very good. It is a little amortized. I did not like the blanket it was obviosly old. Clean room, they cleaned every day. Hot water. Iy was difficult to choose hotel as reading terrible reviews about bugs and other stories. This place was ok. I think price is too high.

We stayed 5 nights and were very happy. We asked for a quiet room which they gave us. The room was simple but clean and had everything we needed. Very good value for money. It's a few minutes from the Colosseum and walking distance to the old centre and Termini Station. In fact, we didn't need public transport at all. You'll find plenty of restaurants in the area, too. Finally, the staff was very friendly and helpful and we give our warmest recommendations for this place.

The room was very nice, clean, included a small refrigerator. Bathroom nicely appointed. Good Air conditioning. Very nice host. Loved the location - could walk to many attractions. The only negative was it was noisy at night - if you can get rooms facing the courtside, that would probably not be an issue.

The location was fantastic - a very short walk to the sights and Via del Corso which was important to us. Only negative factor was that breakfast was not included/available at the Inn. Andrea was very friendly and most helpful - he personally offered to take me to a Pharmacy when medication was needed and played interpreter.

The double-room we stayed in (5 nights) only had 1 chair, no table. The web page did not indicate, that the breakfast (very poor) had to be made by our own and that there is no room for breakfast or just to meet and have a drink or talk. Only the friendlyness of the woman who welcomed us compensated our stay there, but we cannot recommend it to a friend and will not come back.

Very nice people, great location: colloseum at an arm's reach. Room not very large, but sufficient, high ceilings, good AC, and very clean. There was even a wallvault, to be opened with your key. Also the breakfast was ok, in the room, but you could get anything you liked. I stayed there with my daughter, we had a very nice time.

*** Pros: location is perfect for visiting Rome (300m far from the Colosseum and at walk distance to all the points of interest; bus stop just in front of the b&b and metro station at 1 min walk distance). Guests are warmly welcommed and can get interesting and useful tips from the owners of the b&b, wich are really nice and open. The double room was small but clean and quiet. Breakfast is served in the sleeping room (even if it is not really suited for this purpose) since thre is no dedicated room for it. *** Cons: towels were not changed during our stay (4 nights); brekfast is quite poor and you need to find the owner of the b&b to get it; after 10am there is no breakfast available anymore; WiFi connection was not working; our room was close to the "kitchen" so we were woke up by other guests asking for the breakfast.
