Inn Residenza Santa Maria - Rome

We'd never been to Rome, and could not have picked a more perfect place! We walked almost every where to see the sights, and came back periodically to rest up and each time found a calm retreat after all the busy streets. Upon our arrival from the airport, which the hotel arranged taxi service for us in advance, Husseen greeted us and was a perfect host, helping with tips for tickets, etc. Absolutely we'd come back!

A welcoming and quiet place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Very nice neighbourhood and very short way to nice bars and restaurants.I will stay here on my next visit to Rome.

I don't want others to know how nice this accommodation is, so that I won't find it impossible to get a room when I want one, but honest requires I tell the truth! This is a lovely part of Rome.

Residenza Santa Maria is a place for those who like intimate settings. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and treated us like they've known us for much longer. It would be folly not to get tips from Stefano, the owner, about how to navigate the city sights, which restaurants to dine in including which dishes and wine to order!

The atmosphere is cosy, but the rooms are a bit dark and they are on the ground floor. There are lots of nice restaurants, cafés and bars in the area. Trastevere is to a large extent a pedestrian "village".

Wonderful location, spacious rooms, abundant breakfast and helpful staff make this one of the most accessible and charming hotels in Rome.

There were only windows out to a bigger room used as a public area. We couldn´t see if it was daylight or night.

This hotel is in the best location, outside the main area of Rome but very easy walk or bus ride to spots in Rome. At first you are not certain about the area but after getting to the square and going down little roadways you fall in love with the charm of the area and its residents. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The services and the rooms are perfect. They even stored our bags as we lightend our load for a 2 day trip to the Amalfi Coast. Upon our arrival back it was like coming home. Love this hotel and its sister one down the road as we visited it too for a light snacks offered as part of our stay. Both places are great.Can't reccommend it enough

We had a lovely stay at the Residenza. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious by European standards with a double bed and two bunk beds for my teenage sons. The bathroom was small but everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast provided was perfect - fresh and delicious - and was served in a lovely little room in the lower level. The hotel is right at the Piazza Santa Maria with lots of restaurants close by. It is affiliated with the Hotel Santa Maria - just on the other side of the Piazza. You could go there for drinks and snacks in the early evening, however, the night we went, the cook was off. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the Colisseum and about 45 from the Vatican. We walked everywhere. The local tram to the train station is only around the corner and we took the train to Civitavecchia. I would definitely recommend the Residenza to anyone visiting Rome and I would certainly stay there again myself. I loved it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Residenza Santa Maria. The property is really well taken care of, and clean, and remodeled without taking away a lot of the old feeling of the place. Our room was of a very good size, and comfortable including the air conditioning. The old high beamed ceilings were beautiful. We enjoyed the Trastevere area of the city, opting not to stay in the more conjested areas of Rome, and found it convenient to walk to just about any place in Rome worth seeing. The staff was very helpful. It has a typical bed and breakfast type feel to it.

The place is excellent in all ways, and practicaly the only one of this caracteristics, I was surprise that were not many offers like this, simply cool and well located, services are suposse to be as per price, and in this case was like this but decoration etc... was just fresh and very nice

We really enjoyed our stay at the Residenza Santa Maria. A lovely location, and charming, quiet hotel with friendly helpful staff, and the rooms are quite big given Roman standards.

This was a little gem of a place. Rooms were very nice good breakfast only six rooms so no waiting for a table. Complimentary buffet was available at the parent Hotel Santa Maria. Trastevere is a wonderful area of Rome and hotels are scarce so this lovely hotel is bound to get booked up very quickly.
