Very small rooms with paper thin walls. Staff speaks little english and did not respond to issues with rooms. We booked three rooms and there were problems that went unfixed for the three nights we were there. Also, you have to carry around a huge set of keys including a large skelaton key to get into your hallway. But rooms were clean albeit extremely small.

We were not placed in palma residence witch we booked but in palma residence II (ex serendipity) witch is in another location (3 minutes by foot away from original location; 10 minutes from Termini). We were in 3 bad room with balcony with look on inside yard. Everything was clean (towels and linen were changed every day). Kindly staff, only one guy who works on reception wasn't speaking english. We'll recommended it.

We choose this property for it's closeness to the Termini Railway Station as were staying only that night in Rome to fly out early the next morning. Also the price was very good. The staff on duty was helpful and friendly and the property very very clean. The only downfall was that you could hear everything going on in the nearby rooms which is not helpful when you need an early night.

This was our first time in Rome and we stayed at the Palma a total of four nights. The internet access was unreliable but the staff was most helpful. The location is good if you are going in or out of Termini. The area has some excellent restaurants. The rooms were small but adequate. I would recommend this property and we will return.

The room was clean and large, bed comfortable, lighting and bathroom adequate, excellent for my needs and price. Perfect location close to train station for overnight stay before early airport departure. I cannot comment on the included breakfast because I left too early to partake. The clerk was polite but uncommunicative. I would have preferred him calling a taxi for me instead of directing me to the train station.

My stay was very good. The rooms at the hotel are clean and offers fridge, safe and wifi connection. The location is great, near Termini station. Me and my wife enjoyed it very much. The only consideration is that I couldn't pay with credit card.

Conveniently located a short walk from the Termini Station through residential areas. Nice, clean modern room with good air conditioning and WC. Very limited common areas so don't plan on hanging around outside your room. Modest breakfast is fine to get you started for the day provided in your room by attentive staff. Plenty of small restaurants within few blocks.

I've stayed in the Angelica guest house, which is under the same management. 1st floor, too much noise from the street, if somebody smokes outside, all the smell is in the room. Just under the window - latino restaurant, so it was hard to sleep until very late night. The neighborhood around doesn't look safe at all. The breakfast - 1-week-old pastry from the shop across the street, very poor. Shower is covered with mildew. Overall - it's OK to spend some nights, price is acceptable, but don't count on romantic gate away.

The B&B was adequate, the rooms were okay but the window would not close allowing noise from passers by and traffic through the night. The room we stayed in was actually a distance from the reception, in another complex. The receptionist kept asking for cash even though they said that visa was accepted, he basically did not know how to use the visa machine, telling me that my card was faulty... to this I actually went behind the reception desk and did this simple task for him (hey presto my card worked). Breakfast was simple, coffee was plentiful (shame I don't drink it), tea very limited even though i told them we do not drink coffee. Other than that the price for the weekend went up dramatically, this was probably due to the pope giving a sunday service so all the hotels and B&B were over priced... this is something i will look out for in the future

In my opinion this B&B is excellent! Room and shower are clean. Air conditioner works fine. Beds are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. It's ok to late on breakfast; you'll get your portion anyway. Rooms are not very soundless, but it's ok. Staff is very friendly and competitive. I purpose this B&B to tourists.

We stayed in the hotel for only 2 nights, not enough to visit all the wonders of Rome, but was a really pleasant stay. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the main train station, Termini, but there is no sign or number in front of it, we use the same main entrance of a block of apartments, I guess, but we managed to find it. The breakfast is simple, but nice, and they provide a good service. They can send your breakfast in the room, if requested or if they don't have space for you to sit on te table. And it was very thoughtful of the staff on aur second morning to bring us breakfast when they were finishing even though we didn't order it (we overslept, basically). Overall, It is a nice and simple place, with a good price.

I just got back from a trip to Europe and for the Rome portion we decided on staying at the Palma Residence. It was probably the best purchase of the entire trip. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. Also, the staff spoke good English, were friendly, and provided many insights which allowed us to maximally utilize our time. The location was perfect and eliminated any need for taxis while provided the perfect base for exploring the city. And the price was one of the lowest of any lodgings we considered. Overall, I give the Palma Residence the highest recommendation - it was an essential part of an incredible time in Rome.

Small bedroom with new and renovated bathroom. Doors to the rooms are wood sliding doors, so if you intend to keep sleeping till late you´ll probably have problems when other guests start moving around and getting breakfast. Breakfast has limited quantity - the usual "continental breakfast". Very close (3 small blocks) to the railway station and all its transportation options. We felt safe in the hotel despite closeness to the railway and its usual "strange people".

It wasn´t hard to find the B&B because it was so close to Termini station, only 2-3 minutes walk. When we arrived the room was ready for us, we got all the information we needed for that time. The room was véry spacious and clean, with a small fridge, a safetybox and tv. The staff was very kind and always giving us service. In the morning one could hear people moving outside our door but it didn´t bother us at all. And we were not disturbed by the outside traffic. On our last day we had to get to the airport early so we asked for breakfast at 6.30, it was normally served between 8- 9.30, and it was no problem getting it before we left. We highly recommend this B&B and we will definitly return when we´ll go back to Rome.

I was very happy to find the Hotel near to Rome Termini. Easy to get to anywhere in Rome. But my last night I realized that the sheet was disgusting with some stain, basically blood...and then I changed completely my opinion...I didn't mind the breakfast, even if I was expecting a lovely cappuccino...The bathroom was nice and also the room...Beside, that incident on the sheet...So, I will recommend it the Hotel...but at the same time the staff should pay more attention and changed the sheet as soon the clients leave.

Clean, comfortable, safe and convenient. My only advice is to indicate on the website that the "Palms" are across the street from the B&B and that the bell is on the right side of the gate. That said, we had no more than a few seconds of confusion and found the staff helpful and efficient. We are definitely recommending it to friends visiting Roma.

This B & B was excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. The only thing we found at fault were poorly designed shower cubicle doors that didn't shut very well. The B & B is situated within a short walk of the main station (approx. 5 minutes away) although not especially easy to find. Tip - at the time of writing (Oct 2007) do not go by the photo on the website as the building is not the one pictured (i.e. with the palm trees outside) but is actually directly opposite in a more modern building. It is, however, situated on a relatively quiet street (for a big city) and there are some bars and restaurants close-by so you don't necessarily need to walk far on an evening. Breakfast consisted of croissants and packets of french toast with butter and jam, tea or coffee, and is served on a tray in your room. Because the hotel is near the main station it is also handy for getting the metro (tube) to visit different tourist attractions and parts of the city. I would definitely stay here again!

Palma is in a large building with other hotels there. Three of us stayed in a rather small room with a queen bed and set of bunk beds, small closet and shower that kept coming apart while inside. Breakfast was juice, hot drink, a rusk and an inedible bun, but then in Rome no one eats breakfast anyway. Very conveniently located. A/C had a moldy smell, didn't use it, but the window stayed open so we could hear the gate clang. Staff friendly and helpful. Ring the bell outside the main gate when you first arrive.
