CHECK AVAILABILITY
The Bed&Breakfast Al Pantheon con Thomas Mann enjoys an enviable position in the historic centre of Rome, in via del Pantheon, a few metres from the Pantheon, the most beautiful Roman vestige, converted into a splendid church in the 7th century.

Splendid churches, aristocratic buildings and famous squares, each one preserving art masterpieces, as well as prestigious boutiques and restaurants are just around the corner. The most famous monuments such as the Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona or Piazza Venezia can be easily reached in a few minutes' walk.

The B&B is located on the second floor of an ancient building, which origins date back to the 16th century. The building, without lift, hosted Thomas Mann, the well known German writer. The Bed&Breakfast Al Pantheon is therefore an ideal choice for a holiday in Rome, made of elegance and great charm.

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided on request and for a surcharge (advanced notice required 24 hours prior to arrival). Room service is also provided during limited hours.

Overall not the best value for the money due to shabbiness of rooms, lack of soap, minimal breakfast. Granted i do not expect an American style breakfast, but the dry hard cold toast or stale bread option was just not appealing. Some juice or fruit or yoghurt would make this more acceptable.

For the price paid it was a bargain! The Lady is very nice and helpful, the place is very close to the most important turistic places, right beside the Pantheon, no more than 10 minutes walking to get to the Colosseum and 15 minutes to San Pietro. If you are not looking for luxory I would definetely recommend this place

even after email about our arrival we waited for 1 hour for somebody to come with keys. At first they offered 2 tiny rooms with one for us and another "do noy use" but which had an AC. They argued that our another room had AC as sdescribed because both rooms should be considered as ONE room - he we argued with a rather rude "welcoming" person for a while!? Then they offered another small room with very low ceilings, with working AC (making a lot of noise and clicking all night) non-working TV (no even batteries in the control), but with the tub. The location, though, was very good - right near the Pantheon.

Being a single traveler i found al thomas mann B&B to be adequate, i mean as a backpacker it was just a roof over my head, the only issues i had was with actually finding it because there isnt any signage on the building so look for the building number. make sure you call ahead or email to warn them of your approximate arrival time so that they can let you into the apartement. The employees dont really speak English and there isnt a reception so you have to be more independant than if staying in a hotel. AMAZING location, you can walk to all of the main destinations in 10-20 minute. I had a wonderful stay but i found that it was over priced. i recommend this B&B for those of you who care more about the location of where you are staying than the quality of the rooms and service.

Noise at night was awful and we didn't get a decent nights sleep. Bed was rock hard. Price too high for what we got. Breakfast was dried toast and packaged pastries. Coffee was great! Location was great! And the young woman who is there during the week is an absolute Gem! She's fantastic! Would we stay again, probably not.

The rooms were clean and we actually were given a 2 bed/2 bath that worked out. The beds were a little hard, and only one of the rooms had air conditioning, so we ended up in the room w/2 twins just to stay cool. We just used the other room to store our luggage. This wasn't a 5 star, but it served it's purpose. The location was excellent with the shops and restaurants right outside the door.

Very basic rooms, no windows, but an excellent quiet air conditioner for comfort. Old Rome atmosphere in a fairly grotty building, but location is fantastic and everything seemed clean. The two staff members we met were very friendly. Right next to the Pantheon piazza - good for busy tourists looking for a cheap simple place to sleep. Look for name on the door buzzers!

The second time we've stayed here so obviously I like it. The best thing about this place is location. You can't beat it - almost dead center of all of ancient Rome. The accommodations are somewhat Spartan if adequate. There is an issue with noise from the restaurant down below - so I would avoid it if noise at night bothers you. Otherwise the staff is friendly and they send a driver to meet you at the airport (for a fee).

location was great on a pedestrian only street a couple blocks off campo dei fiori ... couldn't have asked for a better location or better accomodations. Staff was very pleasant and helpful as well. The only confusion we had was the address listed for us to go to was near the pantheon and it turned out that this was not the actual location of the place they had assigned to us, so it caused a bit of confusion and time dragging luggage around to another neighborhood ... getting a great table outside on campo dei fiori is a perfect way to wrap up any day spent in Rome, and our location was perfect for this ...

The best aspect of this hotel is its location. It's within 45 minute's walk from everything (Coloseum, Vatican, Trevi, Navona, etc...). The worst aspect is its lack of cleanliness and of quietness...

kind of quirky rooms with no cold running water but rooms were air conditioned (necessity!) and in a fabulous location.
