Guest House Arco dei Tolomei - Rome

This was a superb Guest house in a great location. Everybody was extremely helpful and Marco's suggestions of what to visit and where to eat were brilliant. This man knows his stuff. The Breakfasts are legendary and quality of rooms very good. So nice at the end of busy day walking all around Rome to come back and relax and know there are numerous excellent restaurants on ones doorstep. Altogether totally satisfied. Thanks D

This is a wonderful place, run by truly gracious and lovely people.

This was a little gem. We were warmly greeted by the owner who kindly (and with ease!) carried out very heavy suitcases up the flights of stairs to the guest house. From the time we arrived, we were surrounded by extremely helpful and friendly staff who made out stay all the more enjoyable. The front desk gave us very helpful information every day about the quickest and easiest approach to where we wanted to go and see. The breakfasts were the best we have had in a guest house in Italy and as the dining area is communal, it gave us a chance to speak to other guests and compare notes on places to go etc. Marco was absolutely charming and a joy to have a chat with over these breakfasts. The area was wonderful, older and more intimate surrounded by great cafes and bars and little piazzas full of character. A few minutes walk to the Tevere river (Tibor) and not far after that to all the sites of Rome. Loved it!!

This was a wonderful surprise - the location was incredibly close and within walking distance to ALL the sites we could have wanted to visit - the Colisseum, Paladino, Forum, etc., etc. The guest house was a warm and inviting place, and the service was first class. We WILL return!

Certainly chose wisely when we booked Guest House Arco dei Tolomei. Everything exceeded expectations and hosts Marco and Catia were extremely helpful in guiding us to the best dining experiences and quickest ways to get to popular tourist destinations. Very friendly staff. The first time we stayed here but with any luck it won't be the last.

Very lovely villa, with extremely friendly and welcoming hosts who gave us excellent guidance to make our weekend extremely pleasant and relaxing. The beds are terrific, the breakfast delightful, the location perfect for easy strolls all around the city. We hope we can come back soon.

The location of the guest house was very convenient for walking or catching public transportation in any direction. It coordinated with many walks outlined in our guidebook of Rome. We ate delicious meals every night by simply walking out the front door and deciding which local trattoria to go to. We enjoyed meeting the staff and the other guests. Everyone was warm and courteous. I would absolutely recommend the Arco dei Tolomei to other family members and friends.

Arco di Tolomei is inside an old building in a residential square in Trastevere, away from the main tacky tourist areas, but well-connected to get around and see the sights. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well decorated and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful (carrying my suitcase up the stairs-there are no lifts, making suggestions about what to see & opening times, suggesting and making restaurant reservations etc). I would recommend this place for a more authentic Roman Holiday than a big chain hotel and you get much more for your money.

We enjoyed our stay. The hospitality and location was outstanding. Breakfast fabulous. Rooms basic, but very clean. Walls between other rooms very thin - could hear pretty much everything going on in the room next door through the night, so recommend earplugs which my husband had and he slept very well.
