We were to Rome for 4 day in December. The property was recently opened, simple but clean, quiet and well located near Via Veneto. The owners were very wellcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there, thanks!

Very helpful staff -- friendly, family run business. Spacious quiet room. Safe area of city, but not near a metro stop. A bus stop is about a block away which will connect you with i termini (main train station) -- 3 stops from this station. No obvious sign outside for the "Inn"-- the reception office is on the second floor of an older residential building. Cumbersome entry to room and building, requiring 4 keys (1 to outside door of building, 1 to reception area, 1 to the floor of the room and 1 to the room). Substandard breakfast -- basically cold cereal (no fruit) and white sliced bread for toast. WiFi available only in reception area, not in room.

The accomodation is very well located, we did not have to use public transport to get to sights. Hosts are friendly. Only two things were not perfect: for breakfast there was only cracker, white toast bread and jam...nothing for non-italian stomach and the wifi was not working properly. Otherwise perfect for the price! :-)

We have loved our stay at Gialel B&B! Perfect location (really in the center of Rome, Termini Station and Barberini 10 min on foot, Trevi Fountain 15 min on foot), all the team has been wonderful, charming, helpful. Quiet and very clean place... and not expensive at all! We have loved Rome and the stay at Gialel has contributed to this for sure!! We will come back with pleasure. Take care! Sandrine

Actually I was very disappointed. Room was on the 4th floor without a lift. In the bathroom were many hairs on the floor and the shower was awful. One morning I had only cold water! The owner didn't understand because the spoke only italian. The man at the reception wanted us to fill out the paper by ourselves. And he asked us to pay the room cash...(I think because of the tax) Breakfast was average. The walk to downtown was 20 minutes, I didn't see a busstop in front of the house. Never again!

gialel is run by a lovely family, keen to overturn the previous perception of the old hotel. they are charming & helpful and were up until midnight to greet us on our arrival. the hotel is clearly being restored, and therefore my review is a reflection of that. our room was small, lacking air conditioning, and at the time had no flushing toliet. that said, in the morning the toliet was fixed. maybe we got a bad room. at 80 euros a night in a fairly good location in italy, this is probably what you would expect to pay, so maybe dont expect much. the breakfasts were a little lacking compared to what you can get elsewhere, or even in a cafe for a couple of euros. i do think in months to come, whilst they continue with their restorations this will become a better place to stay.
