If you don't want to have any problems related to your stay in Rome, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL.I have made sure of it personally. First, the day before my arrival I wrote a letter to the staff where I specified my flight's number and estimated time of the arrival at the hotel (about 20.30). Unfortunately, my wife and I received our luggage at the airport with considerable delay and came to the hotel at 20.55. We ringed the bell, but nobody answered us. There were no staff at the hotel! It was our first time in Rome, and we were forced to seek another hotel for one night (and to pay 80 euro for this). The next morning we came to La Casa, its owner was on her place, and she said to us that she had waited for us the night before till 21.00 (it was not true, because we came at 20.55!), and then... went home. Moreover, she forced us to pay the full sum (including the night already paid by us at another hotel!), repeating many time: "It's your problem, not mine!" and saying that we must pay in any case, because we had already confirmed our reservation, and if not, she threatened us to call the police! Second, her welcoming was extremely poor, she behaved as if we were somehow obliged to her. Third, at the main page of the official site of La Casa it is said: "We offer a traditional Italian breakfast which consists of croissants, biscuits, various jams, butter, nutella, coffee, cappuccino, tea, hot chocolate and fruit juices". But during our stay (6 days) we were receiving for breakfast ONE croissant, ONE biscuit, ONE jam, ONE nutella, ONE tea or coffee for a person and NO BUTTER, HOT CHOCOLATE OR FRUIT JUICES AT ALL. Tea and coffee were almost cold, and we had the impression that they were diluted with warm tap water. Finally, the staff gave to us no information about the city's museums and events which is contrary to what is said at the site. There were also some other minor negative points related to this hotel. So, if I come to Rome next time, I will NEVER stay there.

Overall, it would be ok for a budget traveller looking for just a couple nights stay. It is hard to find this hotel (even with a map). The lift didn't work, so I had to go up by stairs to the 5th floor where reception is located, with my suitcase, and go down to the ground floor to reach my room. The room is an average size with a small bath and a kitchen. Breakfast was biscuit and coffee. The good thing is that each room has a different artist name and drawings accordingly, which would give rooms a little bit of taste.

I was amazed, how precise was the previous report about this B&B! Indeed, at the 1st night about midnight someone started to ring door bell and it sounded like a fire alarm, dirty coffee cups served at the breakfast. Actually, it is not B&B in american sense, rather apartment rent room by room, with no living room and no access to kitchen. Important, the host doesn't live at the apartment, just come on the time people arrive or depart. So, check everything immediately after you get the keys! In my room linen had dirty spots and looked like it was ironed but not washed, it was changed on my request only at the next morning. Also my room had all the stuff like air conditioning, TV and even fridge but only fridge was working. Overall I think a habit to keep stuff clean either available from the beginning or never comes. The only good point for this apartment was its price 40 euro/night (equal 10 cups of capuccino in a tourist place). But keep in mind there are extra charges: 20 euro (1/2 price) if you come after 10pm and 2 euro for luggage storage. I didn't used the last 2 options, so don't know how do they really work. I'd not recommend this apartment. Though, probably one should not expect a high service quality for this price (and overall low rating). I admit, I'm biased, other hotels I stayed in were better but at the same time they were more than double price of this one.

Perfect choice if you simply need place to sleep: next to Rome Termini and transport facilities, plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. You should arrive by noon - or you might have to wait for quite a while before someone arrives to let you in. Rooms are small but clean, poor breakfast (typically Italian?)

Nice, 2 bed spacious room with nice bathroom. Bathroom needed a bit of cleaning, but when I suggest that to cleaning lady she cleaned everything immediately. Lack of reception, but it didn’t really matter for us as long as it was clean and we had breakfast every morning. Good location, close to Termini. Good quality for 250 euro for 5 nights.

I have been travelling a lot in Italia and my first thougt was what a clean room it was. I have stayed in the same room two seperated times when I visited Rome and I am coming back. It was near the trainstation, it was cheap, quiet and clean. The breakfast was simple, but there is a lot of places to buy a breakfast nearby.

Double room, floor was a bit dirty, and the main problem of the room was the humidity! Therefore it was cold at night, and even with heater at 30 degrees! The shower had a problem of mold and hot water came after 10 minutes in a small quantity. Amyway for 50 euros per night I did not expect much better, and my overall impression remains quite good. Walking distance to all places of interest were great.

Are you a 5th floor or a 1st floor Guest? Two different experiences. Ist floor have the sound of the rooms above, recommend light sleepers take ear plugs. Also have to pick up their breakfast from the table outside, quickly or someone else will!By 8.15 on our first day all that was left on the table was a sachet of Nutella and 1/2 pot of tepid milk. Also recommend ring and remind from the airport as Alessandra was nearly an hour late letting us in and we had to wait outside with our luggage, when we rang to ask what was happening, as we had confirmed our arrival time by e-mail there was no apology, just a comment that she was on her way. Never saw anyone again after signing in. Do not expect to be able to leave your luggage as advertised, she is only in 1st thing, so if you are catching a late flight there may be no-one available. Given her record on timekeeping we made alternative arrangements. Bed comfortable, lots of hot water in shower but need to give a good 5mins to run through, don't give up! No fridge, no water glasses, TV local stations only, but who goes to Rome to watch TV? V central location, easy to walk to many of sights.

To my surprise the hotel door was closed around 3 PM. Nobody answered to my buzzer pushing. I had to deposit my luggages at a near station. The same happened whe I revisited at 6 PM. Certainly They asked me when I would arrive, when I reserved it around 3 months ago. I replied I would drive from Arezzo to Rome on the day, arriving around 7 PM. I have usually answered the safest time to keep my reservation to these questions. Anything can happen in Italy when you drive. No problems I have had in the past, of course. But the time was a commitment for them. Unbelievable! Their homepage says "Luggage storage : €2.00 a bag". I asked them I could deposit my luggages until 5 PM. Their answered, "No, you can't. You can deposit them until noon". Their latest checkout time is 11:30 AM. Is this a joke?

Great location for a late arrival to Rome (a couple of blocks from Termini Train Station). However, you have to coordinate your late check-out with Alessandra, a very kind hostess. The room is confortable, although the private bath is excesively small. A lot of budget restaurants and internet points around help to compensate a poor breakfast and the lack of internet service in the hotel. A good alternative for a quick stay in Rome.

No permanent reception in the B&B. When asked for your arrival time, better indicate about 1 hour prior to when you think you will arrive!!! We had to wait 45min in a hot and humid staircase before we could enter, and then the woman was extremely unfriendly when we showed our discontent about that.

I have to say this was the nicest find in Rome. The room was spotless, well decorated, the location was perfect (close to the termini station) and Alessandra was very helpful. Before staying here you should realise a few things. The neighbourhood has nothing to offer in terms of tourist attractions, nightlife or fine dining, you shouldn't expect anything more than a room (no "lobby" of any sort), and thin walls will make it difficult to get some rest during the day. That said, however, this place is a total gem. You'll be staying in an apartment, just like millions of Romans - and you'll feel like one, too, when you get your own set of keys; I stayed at an immaculate, recently-renovated room with a spacious bathroom. In my particular case, I was offered a room shortly after my arrival, around 10am. You can't beat the location for the easy access to Termini (perfect for a stopover in Rome, or if you're travelling with lots of luggage) and to the subway station and bus terminal for local transit. And I say this regardless of the price, which speaks for itself. I'll be back.

Although it was a not very expensive place, I would not recommend this place if you are planning to stay more than one night at Rome. Although the room was OK (in fact, it is a common room re-built to be a room with WC), the house is really old and dirty, and a "Secuestro penale" banner was welcoming us! The breakfast is VERY poor, and be sure you will be hungry at the morning! The view from the window was of a dirty, narrow and dark street, so better to keep it closed!

This was our first time staying at this Bed & Breakfast. It is close to the main train station making traveling arrangement easier. The breakfasts were nicely prepared, brought to our bedroom, and were continental in style with a choice of beverage. On our last night, as we were leaving early, we were given a nice packed breakfast. With the windows closed, the room was quite quiet. However with no air conditioning, opening the window in summer was the only way to cool the room. With the window open, it was rather noisy. Overall, we would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

The employee I met was kind and helpful. One could shut out noise from outside, sometimes a bit of noise from the hotel corridor though. I stayed there for six nights on a socalled 'promotion' price. They should not charge more for this room, as it was very 'cramped' - no space for the dining chair in front of the very narrow 'writing desk'. The bathroom very cramped as well - a shelf would've have done wonders as an additional shelf in the wardrobe would too. I missed a lamp over the writing desk. Services as described. I used the room as a sleeping room. It wouldn't do as a living room. I didn't see any public areas and I don't know about type and number of other available rooms.

The change service towels has not been excellent, in general terms in the hotels the change happens every day, here instead after two days.
