We didn't have car in Iceland and this guesthouse was probably not the best choice for "walkers" : far from supermarket (20 mn), city centre (only by bus)and anything... But the house was nice even if the rooms were very small : you can use kitchen, fridge, etc. Maybe it is good when you have a car and visit Iceland the day and stay here at night but I will not recommand this guesthouse for people without car. We didn't see the guest during our stay but it was not a problem, everything was well explained by mail before we came. Though it is pretty expansive, but like everything in Iceland.

Instruction-mail how to enter the house could be sent earlier. We fortunately received it in time but some other guests didn't so they were yelling and ringing the bell in the middel of the night to get in. We would have appreciated it if we've had some information about how to get there by local-bus.

Place ok, but far from center, so very expensive in taxi if you arrive late at the bus station center. And, not clear with bus indications if you have to take the bus to go to the center (miss map and informations at the guesthouse) For breakfast, orange juice is sirup... and nothing special regarding the price, as you have to take it in their private place, the owner must wait you finish... so better go in common place and take your own breakfast.

Far from town and not recognized by anyone there.Bus available. No TV. Bed sucked. Owners spoke to me once in 3 days. Not very friendly for a travelor with questions but then neither were the Icelandic people in town.

I don't understand the different prices for the rooms, 30 euros for just 2 m2 more between 2 bedrooms ? Advice : take the small one !!! You need around 15 mn to go to the port of the city.

This is really a guest house, not a hotel. It used to be a private home in the past. we did not have breakfast in the guesthouse because we would have had to order that separately. On the web offering it said breakfast buffet, but there was no such offering. Actually the kitchen area would not really support such a service. The bathroom was shared. We met interesting people during our stay, because of the family style atmosphere. I would recommend this guest house for young travelers who need a room for good value of money.
