Mark, the hotel manager, was very helpful and nice. The location was okay but the city is small so it's easy to walk around. It was a great experience in Prague.

I went to Prague for work/pleasure. I am a single female traveller in the fine art industry. The owner of this hotel, and person to greet/check-in each customer, was an excellent guide who spoke perfect english. He gave me insider info for everything from the best exchange place to local festivals to amazing vegetarian spots. My room was in perfect order, internet & wifi worked without a problem (which is a lot for european hotels), clean and easy to get to. Price was excellent. I hear that the hotel will offer apartments soon too, super deal. I'll stay there again next time I'm in town and have already recommended it to my friends.

Dahlia Inn was exactly as described in the advertisement and the reviews. The owner was full of useful information about what to see and do. It was located close to the tram and metro system, although it was easy to walk to all the main sights. Internet was free in the reception area. The decor of the room was excellent, and the bedding was very comformtable - although we did end up with 2 single beds pushed together to make a double bed. My only complaint would be that there was no air conditioning, and it was quite warm in the room, which meant we had to open the window at night, which then meant it was quite noisy as the main street is not far away and quite a few emergency services vehicles travel on that road. However, it was not unbearable and we were still able to sleep. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it to others.

It's a really nice and modern hotel in Prague. Room is clean and spacious. Great Values! But we think it's a little bit far from the center.

Dahlia Inn exceeded my expectation. Mark was very helpful with suggestions on transportation, market, exchange place and everything else. I was particularly grateful there was a computer we could use and that there was a refrigerator in the room. We really enjoyed Prague.

It was a great hotel, very nice staff, the pictures are correct. When you came it doesn't look like a hotel from outside. The hotel is on second or third floor. 10 min walk to National Museum.

It is a really nice place. The administrator (Mike?) gives you useful information and is always looking for you. If something goes wrong he will compensate it somehow. The location is not that good, but is far from being dangerous. In my experience, Dahlia Inn has the best price/quality ratio. I will totally comeback.

I chose a private room with bath, and I was satisfied with its quality. Only difficulty was with the stairs (baggage). Staff is so good that balanced "scam" taxi driver that awaits you at train station. A thief, simply. The hotel is a short walking distance to the train station and to the main attractions (historic center).

Probably the best lodge deal one can find in Praha. Extremely gentle and friendly staff. Surprinsingly well decorated and spacious room. 10/15 minutes walk distance from Main Square. Very near subway station. The one thing I would crank about would be the need of air conditiong inside the room. We've stayed during the end of summer, so it wans't so hot, by the room was still to warm for me, because of that I had to open the window and deal with the street noise, but nothing that would nearly spoil our stay.

Rooms very modern style with a large flat screen tv, safer, fridge and a big bathroom. The rooms were big with windows looking toward the street, in general they looked very nice. Very good breakfast. Good position close to trams and metro stop, just 5 min to the main St. Wenceslao Square. Free internet access and wi-fi in all rooms. Mark, the boy at the reception, very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

I chose to stay at Dahlia Inn based on the recommendations listed on Venere, and it is a great place to stay in Prague. The price is cheap, even for the middle of the peak season and the room for a single traveller was excellent - roomy with a large tv, and a modern and large bathroom. Often a single room is tiny and has been squeezed in somewhere. My room was quiet as well, towards the back of the building. The location was just 10 mins walk to all the top tourist attractions, or there was a selection of trams on the street, and 22 takes you right to Prague Castle. Otherwise there are 2 metro stops close by for the airport or going further from the city. Maybe the only downside was that there was no lift, and even just to the second floor there were lots of stairs, but hey, for the price, its not a bad compromise. All in all, Mark was a great host, and nothing was too much trouble. A great little hotel to relax in and I will definitely stay here if I come back to Praha.

Good location, nice rooms in small boutique hotel. Keep in mind there is no A/C. Hotel is located on 3rd floor with construction going on on lower levels so there is additional noise at times.

How to reach Dahlia Inn
By carIMPORTANT: As our reception is not 24 hours it is very important to INFORM US if you will be arriving outside our reception hours which are Monday-Sunday 9am till 2pm and then again from 5pm to 7pm. There is usually someone here outside these reception hours but it helps us when we have an approximate time of arrival. Thank You
For precise directions we suggest going to www.viamichelin.com. In the destination area under address/station copy 'Lípová 20' and in the following area under postcode/city copy Praha 2, Praha. it might then ask you to choose from two specific locations. Click on the second option and a map and directions will load.
By train
Prague has three main train stations allowing easy access to center and surroundings.
From Hlavní nádraží - Take the metro two stops on the red line to I.P. Pavlova and walk down Jecna for about 5 minutes till you reach Lípová street on your left. Traveling time is approximately 20 minutes.
From Nádraží Holešovice - Take the metro 5 stops on the red line from Nádraží Holešovice to I.P. Pavlova then follow the instructions mentioned above. Traveling time is approximately 30 minutes.
From Smíchovské nádraží - Take the metro on the yellow line 2 stops from Smichovské Nádraží to Karlovo Náměsti then walk up Ječná until you see Lípová on your right or you also have the option of taking the trams 22, 23, 4, 10, 16 or 6 from Karlovo Náměstí one stop to Štěpánská stop. Traveling time is approximately 20 minutes.
By airplane
The easiest way to get to us from the airport would be to take a taxi, costing approximately 400-600 Kc. We advise taking taxis from the AAA company located at the airport as they tend to be cheaper.
Using public transportation you will take the 119 bus to Dejvicka, which is also a metro station. You will take the metro 4 stops to Mustek exiting the metro on the Wenceslas Square side. From here you will then need to walk one block up to Stepanska street where you will make a right. Follow this street for about 8 minutes and the street will turn into Lipova once you cross over the tram lines and our hotel is just 10 meters further down on the left side of the street. Total traveling time is approximately 45-60 minutes.
By public transportation
From the Florenc bus station you will need to take the metro 4 stations from Florenc metro to Karlovo Namesti then walk up Jecna street for about 5 minutes till you see Lipova street on your right. Traveling time is approximately 20 minutes.
