Very friendly and welcoming. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Will definately be going back.

We occupied rooms 2 and 3....room 2 no good if u have children as too many quirky stairs.....no bath but very spacious bathroom and double shower. New owners only been there 3 months so a couple of teething issues, very minor and didn't affect our stay. Nice garden pity we were not able to use it due to weather. Large car park at front very expensive but the hotel gives you a permit to park on nearby roads. Excellent breakfast, can't comment on lunch or dinner but menu looked good.

We had good interation with the staff nothing was to much trouble, they were friendly chaps, over all cleaniness was good, we found two good pubs, one was a wetherspoons and the other was a irish pub, We thought the place had alot of marine history witch we throughly enjoyed.

we are an elder couple and were treated with respect ,Lee and his partener (never got his name ) were very helpful and I would gladly recommend a stay here ? will be going here again if staying in southsea. many thanks boys .

Stayed 1 night, could not fault the room and facilities, rounded off by an excellent 'Sailors Breakfast' Would recommend 'Barnabys' for a great evening meal, easy walking distance.
