Residencial Costa do Sol - Porto

I can only reccomend this hotel, nice and pricey.

We stayed in Porto just for one day and the room was quite OK for one night. The hotel is clean, with nice service, centrally located.

It was the first time I stayed in an hotel in Portugal. The hotel has a huge private parking facility and it is well connected with bus lines with bus stops nearby. The employees are nice and friendly. They were very helpful and effective on providing advice about the city. The breakfast is quite complete and good quality. I spent a nice time in the hotel. This hotel is good quality for money.

El recepcionista muy amable. Las vistas de la habitación eran lo peor, una ventana muy pequeña con una reja que daba a un patio... Desde el hotel hasta el centro hay bastante distancia, es recomendable el uso de taxi.

Very helpfull service at the reception onlate night arrival. could talk better english or german. good breakfeast.

On arrival check in great, roomavaliable even though we arrived 10.30 am (but suspect previous ocupants had wanted to escape!!) Room small but what did we expect for £40 a night. Thought we would wander into city a fair walk but pleasant enough. Now the bad bits, the hotel is in the noisiest part of town (and slap in center of red light area, ok if single man otherwise not very comftable) and has no double glazing etc. The bed creaks every time you move making sleeping next to impossible. Breakfast is adequate but nothing spectacular and there are no decent resturants nearby, however down by harbour eating is spectacular and cheap.

Chambre sur rue beaucoup trop bruyante. Impossible de dormir, beaucoup d'activité dans la rue

Stay was pleasant, breakfast was excellent. Only criticism is the small size of the room and small window which didn't allow for much light and air in the room.

I liked the hotel, really nice, and the staff very helpful. The breakfast is great. We changed the room in the first night because our room was too noisy (they had warned us that it was the only one free that day and that we could change the next day). My only complain is that the second room smelled to tobacco a lot. It is not the center of the city, but quite close.

Everything as quoted, food good, hotel very clean, staff very friendly - Basic, but good value for money. Don't travel to hotel by car, especially at night. ie. Porto's One way system and small unlite road signs, make it extremely difficult to find.Underground car park very tight even with a small car. Don't be put off by the empty shops etc in the area - there is a very nice new shopping mall within a 10 minute walk.

Helpfull staff. Good breakfast. Location somewhat of a walk to downtown. Location hard to find and access by car.
