My family absolutely loved this property , my girls (15 & 18 ) shared a large room and my wife and I had an interconnecting room with a loft ( great fun ) , we had our own private bathroom . The rest of the property was fantastic and the location was great as your 5 minutes walk from the leaning tower of Pisa and 10 minutes away from the train station . Loads of little restaurants around . Would definitely recommend staying at Borgo Largo 51

Amazing location but be prepared for noise from street outside. Traditional accommodation kept clean. Breakfast was basic and slightly limited. Welcome was short and you are left to "get on with it!" Overall experience in Pisa (we used the efficient and punctual trains to explore other areas while we were there. Do not forget to validate your train ticket!!) Florence and Lucca was amazing.

Central location. All the main monuments and museums are at a walking distance. The quadruple room is suitable forna family. The plus is a very nice terrace and garden. The only minus is that the street is noisy by night.

Borgo Largo 51 is the next best thing to having an Italian cousin of your own in Pisa. It is on the main shopping street, which is also (with a few exceptions) a pedestrian zone. Look out for the many bicyclists - students as well as nonnas and nonnos. The room was quite large and nicely decorated. The window opened to Borgo Largo, but when it got noisy at night - mostly people talking on the street - the windows largely blocked the sound. You have a remote control for the room's air conditioner, which also mitigates outside noise. The kitchen opens to a broad deck (veranda) that overlooks a spacious garden, which has its own menagerie: Newton (a miniature schnauzer who is well behaved but always waiting beside you for something to fall from the table), three cats, a turtle, two fish in a miniature pond, a turtle and a large aviary cage in the garden itself. You're sitting above all this at breakfast and also looking at the bell tower of the neighboring church. No need to set an alarm; the bells will likely wake you. You are a 10-minute walk from the Leaning Tower. It's about 15 minutes to the train station. If you are lightly encumbered with baggage, you could walk to the place, but the taxi was around 12 Euro. Ditto for the ride to the airport. Some suggestions: 1. Buy the 5-entry ticket for the Piazza dei Miracoli. It's just 10 Euro and well worth it. Do not miss the Museum. 2. If you really need to tell your friend you climbed the stairs of the Leaning Tower, go ahead and spend the 15 Euro for that ticket. (We put those funds toward dinner.) 3. Have dinner at Il Campano, which is just 5-6 minutes away on foot. Realistically, there's not much more to see in Pisa than the Piazza dei Miracoli, but Pisa is nicely situated to serve as a base for rail excursions to Lucca and Villa Puccini at Viareggio. It's a short hop by rail to La Spezia, which would allow you to visit Cinque Terre (without having to haul your luggage up interminal numbers of stairs - as we did just

There is no lift to this first floor b and b .Excellent situation for easy walking to all sights. Located in a busy and at times noisy main shopping street, with partying going on into the small hours, this is not a good choice for a peaceful stay. However once inside ( the door and having to wait for an answer are a bit off putting)it is cool and spacious with an oasis of a garden and lovely balcony/terrace. Rooms are tiled and well furnished with excellent air con and beautiful bathrooms. We liked the green credentials of the management-asking guests to recycle their rubbish from breakfast and discouraging over use of towels etc.

Have stayed many times in Pisa but never here. Very noisy off a main street if you need to leave the windows open but this is Pisa. Very nice room and good staff. Very comfortable. Would use again, especially in colder weather.

What a delight! This was the first time we have used bed and breakfast accomodation in Italy; it will not tbe the last. we have stayed in many disapointing overpriced hotels in Pisa;this accomodation is faultless. the owner welcomes you into her home, the room is large comfortable and tastefully decorated. the breakfast was first class simple, excellent quality food. It would be petty to find fault of any kind; would definately recommend to anyone and look forward to a return visit

Reserved rooms with ensuite bathroom and specifically stated did NOT want the 1 room with exterior bathroom, which was advertised for 10 euros less/night. Received confirmation to that effect. Upon arrival was given remaining 2 rooms, incl the one with exterior bathroom. At checkout, owner/mgr refused to reduce charge for that room to the lesser amount advertised on venere.com. Was aware others had mentioned noise from street, but decided to try anyway. Noise doesn't die down until 3-4 am. Definitely impacted quality of night's sleep. Ok if you're a late night reveler yourself, I guess. Breakfast was as mentioned: 3 types of cereal, bread, toast & jelly, juice & bio yogurt;standard fare for what I've experienced elsewhere in Italy, minus the bio. Coffee and tea were make-it-yourself in the kitchen. Highlight was relaxing on the nice back terrace in the afternoon sun.
