Santorini, officially called Thera or Thira, is a volcanic island in the Southern Aegean Sea southeast from the Greek mainland. If you are a wine lover, you will appreciate the great viticultural tradition of the island based on the indigenous grape variety Assyrtiko, with the famous dessert wine Vinsanto. You will find many restaurants, cafés, and beach bars close to the Villa Dimitris guesthouse.

We are a Canadian couple who stayed at Villa Dimitris in July of 2011. Honestly, look no further! After traveling through nearly all of Europe and staying in hotels for 3 months this was our absolute favorite. The rooms are lovely but it was really all about the owner. She made us feel perfectly at home, had wonderful suggestions for fun things to do and we were sad to say goodbye. In our opinion she could charge twice the amount she does for the immaculate rooms. Seriously a perfect 10! There were also great restaurants close by with excellent prices that she will most certainly recommend as well. Book it!
