Our hostess was very helpful and took the time to chat with guests. The room was nice although the door to the bathroom didn't close very well. There was no shampoo in the room but we had our own. I would suggest closing the window to sleep as the road outside can be quite noisy. We particularly liked the fruit at breakfast. The distance to city center is perfectly walkable - we didn't use the bus once.

We felt the welcome was friendly andthe proprietor Mrs Mansell was easy to get along with and spent time over breakfast chatting with us and the guest house itself was ideally situated for our stay only 200 yards from where we were attending a wedding reception. We found the property itself a liitle cramped and with wooden floors throughout a little noisy moving round inside. Its also right on a busy road into the city centre and as such you get traffic noise at night. That said for the one night stay it was ideal for us and the room had a very comfortable bed and tea and coffee facilities plus one of the best cooked breakfasts I can ever remember having. As a stopover we would definitely use it again

lovely clean b&b within 25min stroll of city centre with excellent bus service.stayed in lovely double room on ground floor BUT with no ensuite facilities not even a sink,shared facilities with 3 other rooms on 1st floor up a rather squeaky staircase,no cooked breakfast offered but good choice of cafes etc. nearby.wi-fi service excellent.

Travelled with my 80 year old mother, went to ballet and fellow guest was one of the dressers so very interesting. Highly recommend. 20 mins easy walk into centre of Oxford. Lots of buses 2 mins walk to stop. Good Swiss pub 2 mins walk for evening meal.
