The bathroom was not very user friendly. Due to the shape of the wash basin, it was difficult to place anything on it, which made brushing your teeth or putting in your contact lenses into a kind of juggling act. At first there was one remote control for the tv, with no batteries in it. When I reported this, I got two remotes, which both were to be used (one the decoder, the other for operating the tv). No explanation was provided. The night porter liked to sing loud in the middle of the night. With a room close to the reception and with an echoing hall (all stone and tiles), it woke me up several times. The staff was friendly, though, and the location ideal: in the middle of the historic centre, but in a quiet street.

Hotel was in central location. Staff were very friendly and helpful (they arranged the meeting point for me for a tour to Pompeii; I had to be at the airport for 5 am, and they arranged the taxi for me). I had booked a single room and ended up getting a triple for the same price. But beware - there is no elevator, and the hotel is four flights of stairs from the ground floor. (Man, was I sweating up a storm with my big, heavy suitcase one step at a time!) It would have been helpful if this was stated at the time of booking. Also, the hotel doesn't take credit cards (which I had planned for). Overall, however, given that Naples isn't a great place to visit (I hated Naples), the hotel is a good place to stay.

For a safe, meticulously clean, quite elegant and - at least during our stay - very quiet hotel, why choose anywhere else? It's next the University and Spaccanapoli. Staff is helpful and kindly and details are observed to a high degree. Breakfast is simple and in room but perfectly adequate. Stairs may challenge some but for us (68 and 71) they were no problem. Try the Pignatelli, you'll like it very much

Very nice hotel in the historical centre of Napoli. Very convenient for visiting. The hotel has a lot of style and the owner was very friendly, always ready to give good advices. The rooms are simple but very clean with all comfort needed. We really appreciated to beneficiate from such a good location at such a good price. Good to know: The hotel is on the 2nd floor of an old building (no lift) and don't have a dinner room for breakfast but they can bring a simple one (tea/coffee+fresh pastries) on demand in the room for a cheap price.

The hotel is situated in the real center of Napoli, and in the heart of the students live. Just next to the Univercity, there is a good points of this location, you can find cheap food for students, from another hand if you don't like noisy students, this is not place for you. Breakfast you have to pay aditionally 3 euro per person, but they deliver it to room and it was realy good, croissant and sweet bun was directly from bakery, still hot.We have booked the standart room for 50 euro per night, but when we arrived to the hotel, they gave us the luxury room for the same price, because of some problems with standart rooms. The room was nice with the small balkony for internal side of building so was very quiet. Generally we enjoy staying in the hotel, there is just one thing, that you can realy hear any noise from another room, from your neighbours. Hotel is done in the 16th century old building, probably they want to do it cheap;-) so inside everything is new and look nice, but each wall in the hotel is made from cardboard. So if your neighbours have intensive night life you hear it like it's happen in your bed! We were lucky that 2 nights there were nobody next to our room.

some other reviewers said the neighborhood was seedy and dirty, but i found the neighborhood to be very charming, full of old world beauty. the hotel was only 3 blocks from "Spaccanapoli" and we walked from the train station in 20 minutes. the hotel was very clean a beautiful for the money. the 2 flights of (+one more inside the hotel) stairs did not bother us but it was a bit misleading since i read somewhere that it was wheelchair accessible. the staff was very kind and friendly.

No elevator. The owner told us the credit card payment machine didn't work... We had to pay in cash. Apart from these 2 things, the hotel was ok.

Really a nice place to stay, close to everything and located in the middle od the old city. We didn't took breakfast because there is a small terrace-coffee bar just on the small square near the hotel. Rooms are very clean, spacious and thte building is really nice, typical. Enjoy your stay :-)

Very clean rooms. Spacious by European standards.Need more explicit directions from the central station. You will probably need to purchase a detailed map of Naples as soon as you get off of the train. Don't drive. There is no place to park. The hotel is billed as being on the 1st floor. Well, this is a 14th century building and as far as I'm concerned, it's on the 3rd or 4th floor. You have to climb 62 (I counted) steps up to the hotel--dragging your luggage, so if you have any mobility issues take that into consideration. When I arrived, the receptionist carried my biggest bag up the stairs, but when I left the person on duty did not help me down. As a senior citizen, I would have appreciated that. The neighbor looks very seedy, but once inside the hotel it's clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. There was noise in the daytime from neighbors behind the building, but was very quiet at night to sleep.

Decent hotel for the price, basic, but clean and big rooms. Breakfast is coffee and croissant. In a decent neighborhood (historical centre), although this is hard to tell in Napoli - its kinda dirty and grungy everywhere. Straighforward, but longish walk from the central station. Took taxi b/c it was raining (<10euro). Hotel is actually a group of rooms on a floor in a larger residential building - no elevator. Office closes around midnight, so if you want to stay out really late, this may be a problem. We had issues with the hot water in our shower, it ran out after a couple of minutes. Avoid being in Napoli on a Sunday, nearly everything is closed, including Da Michele (famous pizza place). Best thing in Naples is the food and pizza; really great pizza.
