Had a wonderful stay at Villa Crispi, did struggle to get there as no one spoke english at mestre station but when did was very pleased. Excellent value for money, nice clean spacious rooms. Easily accessible to Venice by bus. Loved my stay nearly as much as i loved Venice. Thank you :))

This is my second time here in Mestre. In comparisson to my previous stay this was way better. The hotel is ok, good price too, only complaint I have is about breakfast. There's no buffet, you get a bread roll, a croisson, a few jams and spreads, and that's it. On the second morning we preffered buying breakfast at a caffe nearby.

Good small hotel. From MarcoPolo airport 35Euro & 10 mins by taxi. Arrived late nignt with precious notification by email. Received cofirmation of meeting in the night time. Waited on the street 30 mins for staff to arrive to hotel (it was 12PM late night) - not very comfortable to wait on the lonely street.

All in all I was very pleasantly surprised.Very clean, very quiet. excellent value for money. the owner was very helpful and gave me a plan of venice and mestre with all necessary and important information about bus stops, where to buy tickets, prices, restaurants etc. the only downside: I had to wait for about 20 minutes when I arrived until someone came to show me to my room. I would certainly recommend the hotel and will definitely go back myself.

Villa Crispi and Mestre are so welcoming after the chaos of Venice. Easy to find, take bus 31 from the station and get off at Via Bissuoli. Then only a couple of minutes walk. The staff are welcoming and the area is safe and quiet. Mestre itself has a nice area in the centre of town. 10 - 15 mins by bus, you are in Venice. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The WiFi is excellent. Considering the price it represents excellent value. If again in the area, I would not hesitate to stay at Villa Crispi and recommend it to others. Thanks to the family.

This hotel is very convenient to access Venice by bus. The parking area is narrow, but enough. Cappuccino coffee at breakfast is very good. Surrounding is very safe and quiet. Only one problem is that the hotel has no lift to carry our heavy luggage.

It's close proximity to the bus stops to Venice and the airport make Villa Crispi a great place to stay, outside of Venice. I love the garden and the location, it's so peaceful. Double check on how to get there from the airport bus stop, (27th Ottobre) because it's located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and on the map, Corso del Popolo is misnamed so it took me 45 min. to find.

The Hotel Villa Crispi was an EXCELLENT choice for the price and poximity to Venice. A bus stop is close both from Piazzale Roma and to the airport (local city bus ~ 1 Euro). There is a quaint town square with cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Go to one of the local wine shops and purchase a liter of wine (from tap) for 1.75 Euro! Bring it back and enjoy it in the peaceful atmosphere of the front garden (there are a few tables / chairs). I would recommend this hotel to everyone; it was great.

We were guests in Villa Crispi on 27/28/29 of june 2010. A very nice and authentic venice-villa with a garden and parking-space around it. The hotel and room we stayed in had a beautiful decoration in venetian-style. Every day the room was cleaned and the bed was done. Breakfast was good and enough. The owner was a VERY friendly and helpful man who takes the time to give information over Venice and transportation. He provided us with a map of Venice and the bus-lines. We made a booking for 2 nights to visit Venice. Because one day was to short for visiting Venice we could book 1 night longer. We had a very nice stay at the Villa and recommend it for couples who are looking for a romantic and authentic hotel.

Rooms were quiet and very spacious rooms. Would go back any time; the only point was that breakfast was on the basic side, but considering price, quality of rooms & vicinity to Venice, I rate the Villa Crispi 1 a top option.

Our room was very pleasant, with good facilities and elegant furnishings. The staff were helpful and friendly and provided good service. While Villa Crispi is not in Venice, it was quite easy to take the bus to the main station in Venice. The breakfast room was rather small but this did not present any real problem. We were able to park our car in the grounds, which was a bonus.

My rating are based on the price and the fact that villa Crispi is a villa, not a hotel. I chose Mestre, because for the price that I wanted to spend, I couldn't get such a clean and nice room at Venice. Me and my husband fell in love with Villa Crispi , especially because of the positive environment, and the kindness of its staff. He provided us with a map that featured all the important places (like restaurants, bus stops, supermarkets, etc.)within a walking distance. We also loved Mestre, specially Piazza Ferretto which was less than 10 minutes walking from hotel (We had a very tasty pizaa at Pizzeria Garibaldi there). The breakfast was simple but tasty(including croissants, jam, Nutella, juice, coffee, and a variety of teas). Lively, nice people and nice place. Absolutely recommended...

Villa Crispi is just an excellent choice - it is on a quiet street, just a few streets from a big supermarket and bus stops to Venice. The villa is small which provides the opportunity to relax, hotel staff is very friendly and make you feel at home, rather than in a hotel. Breakfast is not very abundant - croassaints, donuts and bread with jams, orange juice/tea/coffee, but it's enough for a good start of the day. I definetely recommend the hotel!

Villa Crispi was not near the railway station but reasonably handy for buses, though they took about 15 minutes to arrive in Venice. Mestre is a large sprawling town so we felt to walk a long way even going out for evening meals. The breakfasts at Villa Crispi were served in a canvas conservatory. Although it had a solid floor it was very cold. The breakfasts were of poor quality and quantity. If I had a croissant, then my husband could not. I asked for another croissant and was told that it was the last one and was grudgingly given it, though it was the end of breakfast time. There was no cheese, ham, eggs, bacon, fruit or cereal. The bread was hard and of inferior quality as if it had been bought from a cheap supermarket. On 2 out of 3 mornings we were given fruit juice but we were always provided with tea or coffee. We had to look on other tables to see if people had left anything worth eating. Some of the honey,in sachets, had become crystallised. I certainly would not stay there again.

First time at this hotel. Excellent staff service speaking english and french. Venice is 10-15 min by bus 100 m. from the hotel. Breakfast is good . Many good restaurants for the evening are recommended by the hotel and to a walking distance. Rooms are nice.Venice card recommended for your transportation (veniceconnected.com) Première visite à cet endroit.

The first time we stayed at Hotel Villa Crispi was really marvellous. I had Birthday and we had a wonderful stay. It is a quiet area, a nice garden where we had breakfast very morning, the room is really clean - also the bath room - with towels every day! A good place to make holidays....only 15 min. to the centre of Venezia.....that does not matter......:)

This place lives up to it's great reputation. All positive feedback that I've read here turns out to be true. So, I'll add some advices to travelers and updates on the current state of things. 1) Breakfast now available only in rooms. 2) Internet is available only on their business computer while they are in 3) Go to Mestre market for fresh produce, cheese and meats (open all days except Sundays, mornings are better), by foot it's 5 min from the hotel. It is one of my best memories of the whole Italy vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Crispi. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. The room was very clean with a nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Our room even had a DVD player! The breakfast was adequate, with coffee, juice, pastry, and yogurt. Nothing exceptional, but good for Europe. The hotel is just a short walk from the stop, from which you can take the bus straight into Venice. The only reason I didn't rate it higher on the quality vs. price was because this was the most expensive of the five hotels we stayed in throughout Europe, although I'm sure that the proximity to Venice is partly to blame. We would definitely stay at the Villa Crispi again!

I travelled alone and needed a hotel not far from the Venice Airport, but still near sights of Mestre. I was walking distance from the Historic District and flee market. I felt very safe. Airport - 10 minutes away by taxi. Hotel personnel very accommodating -- had a 3;30 A.M. automated wake up call, gave me a continental breakfast, and double checked on the taxi. I would definitely recommend

Stayed in Mestre because I could not envision dragging our luggage for a 17 day stay in Italy over canals and bridges. The Hotel Villa Crispi was a very nice find. The people who work the hotel were very helpful in giving instruction on how to get to Venice via bus (15 minute ride). Was very easy to catch a bus to spend the day in Venice, come back to the hotel and head out back into Venice for dinner. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the area was nice. The guy who works the front desk was quite funny and made us laugh. Breakfast was nice. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the Venice area.

We chose to stay in Mestre to save money while visiting Venice. This villa in the middle of Mestre provided a quiet retreat, and yet was convenient to buses and train station. The staff was very helpful, especially Fabio who provided bus and train information and who makes an awesome cup of cappucino! Our only disappointment was not having a computer and internet service available for our use. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property.

You can hardly find a better price/quality ratio around Venice. We strongly recommend Villa Crispi to everyone. The room was spacious; the breakfast was delicious and adequate. (We have heard many complain against these before.) It was extremely easy to find the Villa: good orientation from Venere.com. Very good public transportation: the bus that takes you into Venice, stops 20 meters from the house. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area. But above all it was the manager, who was so helpful and gentle. Due to his assistance we found everything extremely easily, he really simplified our stay in Venice! Grazie tante, Fabio! We will definitely come back!
