I was en Juanita Guesthouse in June 2013. Staff was really nice. Room was very clean as well as shared bathroom. Each room is cleaned daily. I was there for three nights and they also changed my towels during my stay. The place is in small street very close to all main tourist attractions. It is quite quiet. Actually staff is asking to respect another people. It was nice. The only thing I can complain is that my room was sharing a wall with a bathroom (shared bathroom for few rooms) so for some people could be too noisy.

Fantastic location off the main pedestrianised shopping area, a few minutes walk from the port and bus stop. Basic accommodation but clean, fresh and comfortable. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Only slightly negative comment, doesn't mention that the two storey accommodation is actually on the fourth and fifth floors of the building - quite a few stairs to climb - there is a small lift but it would only take one person at a time with luggage.

I decided to stay there two times ,first time it was excellent ,we had room on the 4th floor ,but second time we received a small room one the 3rd floor ,and during the whole night we were listening to voices and sounds of all sorts. So if you decide stay there ,ask for a room on the 4th floor.

The room was very clean, and the location was in a excellant area. The staff were excellant in helping us with everything we needed. The staff call for us to get a cab to pick us up at the front entrance at 4 a.m. for the airport, so they help us with our travel arrangements.

We stayed in four pensions during our Andalusia trip and Pansion Juanita was the best one. The rooms seemed recently refurbished, everything is so very clean and well maintained. The location of the pension is superb, it is in the quiet alley adjacent to the two main pedestrian shopping streets. However, the room itself is very quiet and the staff makes sure it stays that way (in other pensions we witnessed staff who were very loud and vocal). Maybe even more important the pension is situated 300 meters from the bus stop from which bus to airport picks up and drops travelers off. The staff (the owners) are very nice, they speak English (which is not often the case in Spain)and are very helpful. The person on the reception even offered to print out our boarding passes in case we could not locate a internet cafe. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is very basic with quite small rooms and not very well sound insulated...although the location is perfect, right in the centre of the pedestrian area in Malaga. The staff was kind and they let us leave the luggage on our check out, stored in a closed room. I would recommend it for a short stay.

Room was fine but bathroom a little cramped and basic. Not very warm (it was February). Staff were not unfriendly but rather business-like (not our usual experience in Spanish hostales). Excellent location however and decent value for money.

It's more of a pension rather than a hostal - it has 8 rooms run by a family who ask that the guests are quiet and clean. The shared bathrooms were spacious and extremely clean. The room had free WiFi in the room. The only disadvantage was the lack of a place to put my suitcase in the room. I was only there for one night, so it wasn't a problem, but the room might be a bit small if you have a couple bags. They should include a map of where the hotel is in Malaga - it's in a pedestrian-only area, so a taxi/bus can't take you to the hotel. It's about a 5 Euro taxi-ride from the bus and train stations in Malaga though, and it's not difficult to find.
