Rösli Guest House - Lucerne

Lovely place very near to Lucerne Train Station which is the very best part.

Receiptionist was like a robot, not friendly and being helpful at all, giving your impression into "do not bother me"! Room rate was high and not getting the equal value back. Rooms were all in upper floor, if you do not mind with carrying luggages, it would not bothering you.

Nice place but it is a little bit not convienent to town area

When we arrived at the guesthouse we were informed of a room upgrade to the Baserlertor hotel (across the road) - both owned by same operator. Our room was simple but sufficient. The beds were comfortable and the shower/ bathroom facilities were good. The hotel is in a good location - a short walk into the old town of Luzern. Overall a good experience.

Great location. The room is very clean and quiet. Would like to recommend to chose this hotel.

We requested to stay in Balestor Hotel, as they have the lift for our heavy luggages. The location is not far from the main Station on foot, and convenient to walk around.

I never been to the worst hotel like this one. Very bad boss, bad staff, and very bad attitude. In short, this is a very nasty night and day

Nice location

I didn't like the rudeness of guy in the front desk when we arrived. Another thing that I didn't like was there was no lift.

Possibly the worst place we have ever stayed.Had to check in across the road at another hotel .Male receptionist was not helpful nor clear with instructions.The place was old, smelly, dirty carpet, bath room not cleaned or the room...filthy! Did NOT look nearly as good as the on line photo.There is no elevator in the Pension so that if you stay at the top floor you have to carry the luggages all the way up the stairs. Expensive for what you get. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel

Wonderful hotel for short stay.

Not far from the station, about 10min walk. Clean and quiet. The room we stayed is on the other side of the street of the place where we checked in. No lift. Recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel, is close to down town. The breakfast is very good. The price would be good if you would have a elevator We will return again. Ma. Mèxico

The decor was weird, the bathroom smelled mildewy. But otherwise, it was okay.

Possibly the worst place we have ever stayed. The location was excellent but the bathroom in the room was dirty, stank of urine, the shower curtain had mould all over it and the bathroom was so small that the wash basin was placed in the bedroom instead. The bed linen had stains on it and when we asked for fresh sheets, the receptionist apologised and promised they'd be changed, but unfortunately they weren't. The room was not sound proof, we could hear the guests on either side of our room quite clearly. We were told by the hotel that parking would cost CHF25 for 2 days, when in actual fact it cost us CHF40. The directions to the hotel were not clear and very confusing. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Very friendly, ideal for singles and couples

Al hotels in luzern are many expensive. This one is good for price/quality.

Good value, quiet, nice pool area, nice bar, nice area, very good place to stay in Lucerne

The swimming pool water was freezing, and it was really dissapointing.The first day staff was nice, apart from that, they were completely disinterested. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room either.the carpets could do with a clean. Wouldnt recommend it at all.

15min walk from train station and very welcoming and helpful reception staff. Rooms & bathroom were clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

I enjoy traveling in Switzerland for pleasure, but this didn't qualify! The place was old, smelly, dirty carpet, bath room not cleaned or the room...filthy! Did NOT look nearly as good as the on line photo. I'm short and the beds were too short for me. WAY over priced for accommodations, even for Switzerland and would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyway. Breakfast was an added 20 CHF and not much of a selection. Half of the staff were friendly and the other the complete opposite!

Check-in on the other side of the street, a bit tricky when trying to arrange to meet up with someone. Internet was expensive but so is Lucerne! Locations was easy walking distance to everything we needed, room was spacious (even in a triple!), clean and neat. Good experience!

We actually ended up staying at the related property the Hotel Basletor as the Pension Rösli was undergoing renovation when we visited. The hotel and pension are on opposite sides of the street in the same location in the old city. The hotel was comfortable and reasonably close to the railway station. Breakfast was generous but not cheap.

Room was dark, dingy and depressing. Had to check in across the road at another hotel. Could not open window at night for security reasons. Was hot and stuffy. Only plus was the location. For the price, breakfast should have been included at the very least.

Wirklich empfehlenswert. Nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof in einer ruhigen Straße direkt am Reuss-Wehr gelegen. Einchecken ist schräg gegenüber im Basler Hof. Probieren Sie die Schokolade im Lädchen gegenüber!

Had to check-in at hotel down street, but knew that beforehand and very close. Not that close to train station, but manageable to walk with backpacks. In a nice area, close to river. Room was clean, bathroom very small, at least sink and mirror outside. Never had the breakfast as it was extra, and lots of coffee shops and bakeries around to get something. Internet available, but not working when we were there. Expensive for what you get.

Iwas looking forward to this stay, and what a disappointment it was!! The room was very small, the furniture old and shaggy. The bed was so hard that we felt every bone on us. The bathroom was small and we had to wait like 15 minutes before we could get some warm water. The TV set was so small that it was hardly in use.

Excellent location in the heart of the city. Within walking distance to everything you want to see. Clean spacious rooms. Decor was somewhat drab, but that is not why you are there. Loved the open window to the street. Would think the noise in the peak season(wth the open window) might be problem for some. Very reasonable-get what you pay for hotel.

This was my best hotel during my stay in swiss. it has the perfect location near luzern lake and vicinity of main station. Hotel rooms were absolutely clean and good service staff. I enjoyed my stay here.

Our rooms were dusty, the desk, TV, seems no one clean the room for long time, and my bed have noice, not comportbale at all. the position is good, near the river

The directions to the hotel could be more specific but we managed to find it anyway (arrived by train). Conveniently located for city walking. No elevator in pension.

Luzern is a great city, so pretty and very interesting. We enjoyed our stay here. Winter is a great time to experience what the area has to offer.

Every thing was nice, but one thing that people can not eat in the room (include every kind of food such as snacks foods), I think it is not human-based.

This is a pension, not a full service hotel. You check in at a hotel 50 meters away. The decor is rather dated, but it is very clean and the room we had was - by European standards - quite large though the en suite bathroom is tiny. We were travelling with a toddler and the front desk clerk apologized for not seeing the baby cot request and promised to have it brought right over, and it was there within five minutes. We did not take the rather expensive breakfast at the hotel (same as check in), as there is a bakery directly across from the pension. If you don't need a full service hotel this is an excellent value in a great location. We definitely recommend it.

Great value for money. We stayed for a week and had an enjoyable stay. The room was spacious with windows opening out on to the street. Neat, Clean and well maintained hotel. Bus/Train Station and the Lake are within 5 minutes walking distance making it very attractive to stay here. Will definately stay here during my next trip.

Clean, cheap, quiet, very central!

Based ourselves in Luzern at the Pension Rosli for 6 days. The hotel was 400 meters from railway station, it was ideal as we had a Eurorail pass to explore Switzerland. The room was very basic, very clean with a decent sized bathroom. Great value.

This was my first visit to Luzern and I found it a delightful town. We did a self-guided walk around the old part of town and on the ramparts. There are many good restaurants. Our room at Hotel Pension Rösli was very nice and clean and good value for the price.

Excellent location near the river and old city. It took a minute to find the Baslertor to check-in, but if you look for the akzent flag then it should be easy.

L'hotel ha il vantaggio di essere nel cuore del centro storico e dunque abbastanza vicino alla stazione. Per il resto, non ha davvero niente di particolare, il costo è piuttosto elevato e non è neppure inclusa la prima colazione.

Excellent small cozy pension, perfect location, friendly staff

The rooms are nothing to write home about, but the location is great. Right behind the river that runs through the town, and in the middle of all the shops selling traditional Swiss things. The staff were great.

This hotel is in a very convenient location for exploring Lucerne, only several blocks from the riverfront. Unfortunately you have to go to a different hotel down the street to check-in and get service for the hotel. The staff member at this second hotel was quite unfriendly. Overall a pretty decent stay.

Resonable price and good location. But no lift will be a problem to traveler (especially has heavy Baggage)
