Excellent Location. Fantastic service. Professional Staff. It seems that the Hotel has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Taking the lift to my Top Floor room after a hard day walking around London was a plus. Breakfast had good variety and cooked to perfection. For dinner I had the "Fish of the day" which was the best I have ever had in London. This is an ideal place to stay and hope to stay longer on my next visit.

During the stay it wasn't an hotel but a building site, with scaffolds at the windows, noise and dust. Nobody said it to me at the reservation. After an argument I got 5% discount.

We were dissapionted with the quality compare with price. Notheing wrong with the hotel but prices in London do not get you much. It was also not very central to the place we needed to be.

For a family of four (children 11/13 yrs) this was a perfect choice! Staff helpful and nice and location is very good, once you learn to know the short-cut to Victoria. Good english breakfast and the fish & chips weren't bad either.. Very typical "town house" type of accommodation, would consider returning.

We really enjoyed our stay in the windermere hotel. The location is very convenient with public transportation nearby, our room was clean and comfortable - excellent beds; good breakfast freshly made to order.

Short tour, then on my own. Staff very friendly. Helpful carrying my bag up the many steps to my room. On return, room upgraded at slightly more cost but more convenient (less steps). Diningroom disappointing for dinner this time, otherwise hotel fine.

It may surprise a few people but a hotel is first of all made to REST and SLEEP. You just cannot sleep when your room is not insulated from external noise. My room was on the ground floor and for 175 GBP a night I felt the hotel could have invested in a sound-proof window.

Hard to say about price/quality. London is very expensive and this is the first hotel I've stayed in 10 years.

Breakfast was v. good and some unusual choices for this type of hotel. Location excellent for Victoria Bus station also train station.Handy for Chelsea too. Our room was on top floor (no lift)so I would request a lower room next time! I would definitely stay there again.

Everything as expected. Very good service. I've been upgraded from a single to a double but the spaciousness of the room was barely enough for a single person. But I know in London this is usual...

My wife and I finished our trip to Europe in London and stayed at the hotel for three nights. The hotel was very clean but somewhat tight as are most European hotels but not too small to store luggage and have some room to move. Also be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs as there is no elevator. The staff was very helpful and English speaking. At first we thought the hotel was a little too removed from the action but after the first day we discovered the hotel is in a quiet part of London but only a nice five minute walk to Victoria station and the tube. If you do not mind 5 to 20 minute walks to major attractions this is a nice place to stay.

The hotel was nice, but our room was at the very top of a lot of stairs, facing a busy road, so not very quiet. It's better to request a room on Warwick Way, which is less noisy in the evening. The staff was very polite and friendly.

The room was very clean. Not extremely spacious but comfortable. The location was excellent - not too far from Victoria bus and tube. Staff & welcome was excellent. The room was small but comfortable. The restroom was cramped - and had no hand basin - there was a handbasin in the bedroom. The breakfast was really ok. We had a very pleasant stay and we would like to come back any time.

I arrived first and rented a single room. It was very clean with modern decor. My wife and son (age 16) joined me the next day and we were moved to a triple room. It was older style and had 2 double beds, which was excellent. Later in our travels we found that not all triple rooms offered this (mainly on offer are divans or fold up cots for the 3rd person). So this was a huge plus for us. The room was very clean. Not extremely spacious but comfortable. The location was excellent. Not too far from Victoria bus and tube. If adventurous you could even stroll down to Parliament house. The staff were just great. From their initial instructions on how to get to the hotel to their assistance in whatever you wanted. The only negative I had was that the mattress was too soft. I have a bad back.

Staff & welcome was excellent. All staff were very helpful. It was my first visit to London, & we got some very good tips on things to do in London. Some extra effort that the staff and management did for us: Printed out a map & list of local Indian restaurants, allowed us to take Tour Bus tickets and pay later(as we had no cash at that point), held our bags on the last day so we could maximise our time in London. All in all, we felt very welcome and at home! The only small downside was our room size & location. It was at very top of the hotel and only accessable by stairs - I think we may have got this as we requested non smoking - and as we are still reasonably fit it was not a big issue. The room was small but comfortable. The main issue here is the room has an ensuite which is very cramped - shower does not suit tall people and no hand basin. There was a handbasin in the bedroom.

Very nice stay. Good breakfast and dinner. Quiet area not far from Victoria station. Small rooms and narrow corridors and stairs that might cause some difficulties for elder people with heavy luggage. Not a strong four star hotel.
