This hotel is only a minute from King's Cross tube station, St Pancras and Eurostar so it's very convenient, down a quiet side street. I arrived early and left my luggage in reception, there is no secure storage but it seemed pretty safe as there is always someone in reception. Check in was easy. My single room with ensuite was very clean although I personally hate carpets and really hate air fresheners. Bathroom was very clean. The room was small but not a problem. The room was very hot at night and because I was on the ground floor I didn't want to open my window although there did seem to be air con. I thought it was really quiet, especially for being so close to Euston Road. There was a tv, hairdryer and closet in the room. Breakfast was included and was very nice, good choice of hot cooked breakfast and service was really friendly and quick. Overall I thought it was a good hotel and I would return.

Very friendly staff. Small, feels like family. Good breakfast (but same thing every morning) Stayed in flat-like condo, with kitchen.

Nice hotel for a couple of days in London. Request rooms not close the toilet in the upper floor as there is a lot of noise there due to a fan inside the bathroom.

This by far the neatest, shiniest, cleanest small hotel I have ever visited--in 30 years of travel. Immaculate white paint, subdued blue, cream and white throughout. I loved the lack of cute touches. The new Eurostar terminal is virtually across the street. British Museum and Marchmont treet restaurants only a very few blocks away. Great choice!

I stayed at the Jesmond Dene for three nights and was overall very pleased with the experience. It is very clean, well-run, and in a convenient location. The breakfast was tasty and of good quality. It is not a cozy, family-style B&B, but that's not what I was looking for. I appreciated the free wireless, as I had quite a bit of work to do in the evenings. A good place!

The apartment we stayed in was very clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. It was just a short walk to Kings Cross station. The only negative is that they only accept cash payment for the apartment, which we were not told upon booking.

Hotel was undergoing renovations which left it quite messy. Once we were in the room, it was fine. Tiny room, but clean and nice to have a sink. Toilet/shower was up two flights of stairs which is ok for "young folk"..not quite us but we managed ok. Excellent location to Kings Cross and St. Pancras, safe clean location. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

I think i am not a bed and breakfast guy. it was close to the station which is why i picked it. the food in the morning was great and the service was good; people were very responsive and friendly. also should say it was my first trip to London.

We were 4 girls visiting London for a week end. The hotel offered even more as presented on website. The room was simple, silent, clean but a little bit small. The english breakfast was great and the staff extremely polite and efficient. The area is perfect for who arrive from Stansted as is very closed (2 min) from King's Kross.

The room was very very small for the price but the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Location was very close to Kings Cross, and walking distance to British Musuem, a plus, but areas beyond not particularly inviting. This is 2nd trip to London-- 1st time stayed South Kensington, also B&B.

I recommend this hotel, excellent price vs quality relationship, and it is located only 50 metres from the Underground station. Very nice breakfast (both continental and english) altough the staff stops serving it at only 09:00 (but that's the average of the hotels). I enjoyed also the free WiFi internet connection. Clean rooms and public areas. The bathroom in our room seemed brand new. Thumb up!

A fine place to stay near Kings Cross/St Pancras...but only if you don't mind steep narrow stairs. The bed was very comfortable, which is a priority for me. And there was a tea/coffee set up in the room, complete with the ultra stable cream for coffee, always a nice thing to have.

Very small rooms! We rented a twin with bathroom. The bathroom was an inbuilt caravan bathroom not much bigger than 1 m2. But the employees were nice, and breakfast was good. A short way to the underground is also very practical. All in all I guess this is what can be expected from a London hotel in this price range (I was at the german countryside recently and got a room ten times bigger for half the price, but no big ben or Harrods there:)

This hotel is in a nice location and exactly as described on the web. We had a quad room which was adequate in size. We were expecting much smaller based on the previous reviews. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was accommodating and courteous. I think the staff does very well given the limitations of the facilities. We were on the top floor and the stairs are very steep going up the last flight. Anyone that has physical limitations or too much luggage might have a difficult time. We had our own bathroom, but there was another bathroom outside of our room to be used by other guests. Some guests showered at 3am, and the water running was quite loud. This bothered me, but the rest of my family slept through it. We really did not hear any other noise from other guests or street noise. We recognize that there is not really anything that the hotel can do to about either of these, given the constrains of an older building. We did have to wait a short time for breakfast as the breakfast room is small, but the breakfast was good. We had heard that Kings Cross was a seedy area of town but we did not find that to be the case. The hotel really is ideally located, close to lots of restaurants, bus and tube, post office and grocery stores. We stayed out late every evening and never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. This was our one and only trip to London, so it is difficult for us to evaluate this hotel with regards to value since we have no basis for comparison. I did a lot of research online before we left and this was the best deal that I found for our family of 4 in a central London location. It is pricey by US standards, but not by London's. I would stay here again. My best advice to other travellers would be the same for any European hotel: pack light to easily maneuver the stairs, bring Tylenol PM if you are sensitive to faucet noises and get to breakfast early!

The Jesmond Dene was in a great location, really close to the Kings Cross station....also the english breakfast was great. The room was terribly small and the bathroom we shared was hard to move around in because of its size.

Nice and clean, comfortable beds, very quiet. Fantastic location, great restaurants (got recommendations at the desk). Very narrow stairs to toilets (one floor away), no problem if you don't have problems walking but would be bad if you do). Great breakfast, eggs/sausage/bacon/oj/tea/toast, very tasty -- excellent cook, very fast service. May be a short wait if you wait til the middle of the breakfast time. Good value given the exchange rate -- I'd definitely go back.

Very disappointing. Room was minuscule and very noisy late into night on account of occupants next door and above. Bathroom was micro-minuscule (could hardly move). No hot water pressure in shower. Had to wait in line for breakfast as breakfast room so small, with result that only had breakfast in hotel first morning (out of three) despite fact that was included in price. Wi-fi out of order. Will not be back and will get friends to avoid.

The best relationship between place and price in London: perfect position (near the underground, but very quiet), very helpfull staff, rich Enghish breakfast. I've been very well with my girlfriend in a not ensuit room: it's small, but there's a sink and a tv. The shared bathroom was always clean like every public areas. I recommend to everyone!

Excellent location. Price was very reasonable for the location. Good breakfast. Very clean room. We had a basic double (not en suite). The room was quite small but manageable and we liked that it had a sink in it. We were on a middle floor, so the shower was two flights upstairs, and very tight quarters, but good water pressure and only had to wait for the shower once. Our only significant complaint was that the people in the next room kept letting the outer door for our floor slam, including late at night and early in the morning, but that wasn't the hotel's fault. It might be nice to put a sign on those doors reminding people to close them quietly from 11 pm to 7 am. Overall, we were quite happy with the place, and are likely to stay there again next time we're in London. The location is great for getting to either of the main airports.

I wanted a clean and nice B&B hotel while in London for a few days business, and what can I say, really nice. Everything was spot on, service, breakfast and quality. After reading reviews and looking at the photos I was not let down...Thanks Venere!

Very friendly & welcoming staff. Our double room was typically tiny but that's normal for London. Very clean, modern bathroom, lcd tv with many channels, comfortable bed, good cooked breakfast. The perfect launch pad for a great London experience.

I have been there for three days. Perfect location (two minutes by walk from King's Cross train station/tube), quite a good service, but little spaces in the whole building and quite expensive for my standards (honestly it was the first time for me in London!). Please replace the shower curtain with a hard plastic one or the bathroom floor will always be wet. I would return in this B&B in future, anyway.

L'hotel est très bien situé (à 2 stations de Covent Garden) la chambre triple donnait sur une rue silencieuse MAIS les photos des autres chambres n'ont rien à voir avec la nôtre. Le prix paraît donc éxagéré.

Very impressed with this small family run hotel, in an excellent location of London. I have been visiting London for over 5 years and can’t believe I’ve been missing the Jesmond Dene. They have free WIFI internet access in all rooms, superb English breakfast, and most importantly staff that care about your needs. I suppose that is the difference from a family run hotel, and a large chain! Thanks again to all staff at the Jesmond Dene, and for sure I will be returning.

Just 2 min away from King's Cross Underground Station. Excellent breakfast, good service, very helpful staff. Clean restrooms and showers. The only downside: Our room was just 5 m2 (1 Night= 50 Pounds!!!), so that you had to leave the room or lie down on the bed when the other person wants to get dressed. Yet,I still recommend this B&B for a low budget stay in London!!
