OK for a reasonably cheap bed and basic breakfast, well situated for tourism in the central area. The reception staff helped about poor heating in our room, and the breakfast room staff provided an excellent service.

The space in the room was minimal, but the worst were the dirtiness of the bathrom, the only wardrobe and the inner patio. Breakfast was fair and also the quietness of the room.

Cheaper than average for a London hotel. But it is only two stars and one could get much better for only a few £ more. Location as indicated on the reservation suggests that the nearest subway station is King's Cross St Pancras, which is correct, but still three bus stops away! Narrow stairs and no elevator. If you have a room on the 3rd floor, better not to carry large/heavy luggage! Bathroom is really tiny. Breakfast below average. Room window didn't close completely. The good points are: free internet access, hair dryer in the room, luggage storage in the breakfast room (unattended, self serve!) and price slightly below average.

We were sent next door to our room. It was small as expected and functional. Ok for a bed for the night, not to sit around in. Bathroom very small, plenty of hot water, large people will find it very cramped though. Matress was too soft for me so I got backache every night. Breakfast mostly cold and plenty of it with cereals, toast, crossionts, tea, coffee (awful instant variety) and orange juice. Staff generally nice and helpful if rather rushed. I prefer Hotel Meridina which is alot closer to the station and is in a quiter street.

The hotel location is good, since it is close to underground station of King's Cross and Russel Square. Room was very small and particularly the bathroom. In addition, neither the room nor the bathroom were clean enough. Although, people at the hotel was nice. I would not recommend this hotel, since I think that the price is high with relation to what you get.

The hotel situation is no so fabulous, as written on a venere page. Rooms are SMALL and a little bit dirty for the price payed. But if you there just to sleep at night - its OK. One big plus - property is not far from major London nightclubs - Fabric and Turnmills (15-20 min by feet). But do not expect too much :)

It was an OK room, but it was a very small bathroom and only cold water in the shower. It was very little space in the breakfast room and only continental breakfast. The spot on the WEB-map was not right, but the street adress is easy to follow.

This was my first time at the GH. As hotel rates in London are very expensive, I knew that for 69 pounds I wouldn't get any luxury. But the room was ridiculously small, private WC was caravan-type, floor was slope and beds very uncomfortable. We stayed for four nights, and it seemed as the only service was poor bed-streching - I would say wc and carpet were not subject to any cleaning for the whole period. Breakfast team were in a bad mood. They expect customers to pay upon arrival, without even having a look at what they are «buying». Bad experience. Fine location.

DISASTER Basically I don't like to leave comments as each person has his own opinion about standards, requirements etc BUT this time I feel like it is my responsibility to Warn people who intend to stay at this " hotel " 1) We in UK and @ reception they hardly speak English 2) Request to pay in advance is a first Sign that something will be wrong. !!!! Lucky me a I had only cash for 120 pounds but I should pay 180 pound but we agreed that I will bring rest of money on next day . When I found the room ( in a basement) it was so small that I could hardly turn around shower was dirty and all time you hear that other people flush toilet water, noisy street , etc etc . In the morning I decided to check out and to find some better place . I demanded to revert may money 60 pounds for second day . Staff told that only BOSS can revert me my money and he presently is not here .... When I asked to call him and find out when he will be at hotel to meet him they said that they don't know his tel number .... I was 4 days in London and each day in the morning and evening I walked in to this " hotel " to get back my money ... guess what ..... NEVER GET IT .... WITHOUT PREJUDICE I WILL NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL

The hotel is in a very good position. Our room was very small but the bathroom was even worse: a box with toilet, shower and washbasin in a corner of the room. The breakfast room was rather small too.

The map on the web site was wrong so it was hard to get there. I booked a room at Guilford House but actually I stayed at next door "Grenville House Hotel".It was a bit surprising. Staying there was OK.
