The room is really small, however the overall quality of this hotel i would say is very good! Great location, the staffs help a lot when ask questions.

Great location. 2 minute walk to the underground. Little smell of carpets but for that price its ok I guess.

No lift to first floor, only a narrow staircase. Incredibly a steep flight of 5 steps from en-suite shower room/WC to very small bedroom. The lobby is nice, though...

A nice hotel by the Hyde park, but the rooms are extremly small. Also our room was at the basement level, altough it had a window.

Hotels in London are usually well overpriced and generally service is poor (compared to general standards worldwide). This hotel is above average in terms service/price-ratio for London stndards. Thumbs up!

It isn't an expensive hotel, so you can't expect much of it. For this price i was content with the room and the hotel. One thing to criticise: The employees weren't very polite. When you came into the hotel they didn't greet you and just looked away instead. Even if it's a cheap hotel, there has to be a polite staff, which makes the whole stay much better.

best localization if You're lookin' for quick metro connections - two underground stations within 3 mins walking (Bayswater and Queensway) - Hyde Park across the street; small but very good rooms.

It was a great hotel to stay in. I've been to London several times and it's one of the best I've stayed in. To be fair, I got a last minute booking which meant the price was below the published rate, that's the only reason I went for it...but I was very glad to have that opportunity. It's definitely worth the money and in a good location.

Rooms were very very small but clean and very close to Queensway & Bayswater underground station. Staff was kind and helpful.

Neither Grand nor Royale. The room was the smallest I've ever stayed in and once baby cot was added there was literally no space whatsoever. No mini bar available (only for club room guests) which was disappointing as was the lack of a bottle of water. That said, staff were pleasant and the location is excellent (close to both Hyde Park and Notting Hill Gate) but this is not a 4-star hotel. A more realistic 3-star rating and a small reduction in their prices would make it more satisfactory.

Ultra clean and modern room, but also the smallest room I have ever stayed in or heard about. I barely fit on the bed and as I was lying there I marvelled at how they managed to get everything necessary into a room that small. I congratulate them on choosing a great interior designer. Hotel lobby glorious, but needing restoration badly. Friendly staff. If room had not been size of a petrie dish, I would have been perfectly satisfied.

A very beatifully furnished and equipped hotel. Small rooms, but very high standard. Great bathroom, but poor water pressure in shower. Somewhat noisy first night, as there is a crowded youth hostel across the street - ask for a room facing the back yard! Over all a very nice hotel for the price, though with some minor quirks.

We travelled to London in a Group of 4 adults. Booked two single rooms (given there were no family rooms around the Paddington Area). The rooms at Grand Royale London Hyde Park were extremely small, but definitely livable. Took some marks off for cleaniness, as one of the rooms had an ordor (smelt like molded carpet or something). Otherwise, full marks for cleaniness. Modern room facilaties like LCD TV, real air-condition. The water pressure on the 7th floor was really weak (like only 5 to 6 strains of water dropping in). The location is really convenient, and the surrounding areas were nice. Close to two tube stations, Hyde Park, and Portabello Markets. The staff were generally friendly. Nothing special during checkin/check-out. There was a porter-boy (probably from France - didn't have an English accent) whom was genuinely helpful. He made the extra effort to open a bottle of red for me, when they couldn't find a bottle opener. I think his manager wasn't please to see him intervening on my affairs. Definitely recommend Grand Royale for couples(if Grand Royale guarantees a room on 2nd to 5th floors).

I would definitely recommend this hotel. From outside it is not what you would expect, but it looks trendy in an old fashioned way from the inside. Since I booked my room shortly before I arrived, my reservation was not in the system yet, but I was offered a drink and staff was nice. The single room that I had, was indeed single, but still the decor and the bathroom were in a good state and were clean.

Our group had a double and a single room, the single was very small and the wardrobe was not usable; although the rooms were of superior type.

This is a nice hotel, however the rooms are so small that you don't fit. To take a shower is a nightmare as the bathroom is smaller than the one in an airplane. For the same price I would have had a better room in a different hotel.

1. They have awful windows, which contrasts with the rest of the Hotel: really elegant, old aristocratic style, recently renovated rooms. In my room, the cold draft from the closed windows forced me to move after one night. As a consequence also the noise from the street can be heard, but it's not too bad given that the location is pretty quiet. They were very kind and eventually upgraded us in a bigger room. 2. The price for breakfast is simply insane, 15 pounds. You can have a brunch for the same price around the corner. 3. The free wi-fi in the public areas and free broadband in the room is a very nice plus (I was charged 10 pounds a day in another 4 stars Hotel). 4. There is a bus station 30m away and the metro in 100m, which you need every day, because the location is not in walking distance to any important attraction. For a quiet evening around the block, there is plenty of restaurants and bars in the parallel street.
