in comparison to general london hotel level, this hotel is fine. Rooms are small (but there are smaller rooms in other hotels) in general clean and with tv, there is the lift for all floors, staff very nice and they speak in italian/english, breakfast included but very poor compared to italian standard, there is a free internet point (2pc), location is very close to District underground (Paddington) and to many buses (23, 36,436, 15...).

Tiny room and absurdly small, cramped bathroom that had a little sink that was below waist height. Unstable wifi available only in lobby. Mediocre breakfast. Good location. Overall an adequate place to stay but poor value for money.

The washbasin is so small that your feet get wet, when you wash your hands. The bathroom was very mouldy. And I guess we got, because of the special prize of venere, the room in the last corner with the smallest window on the side of the street.

We had a tiny basement double with a window overlooking an air shaft. We complained and we were upgraded to a triple, which had a double and single bed. The floor was so slanted, we felt we were being buried at sea. Regarding the breakfast, the eggs were some sort of processed fake eggs and the sausages were awful.

We had a triple room and it was very tiny. I would open my suitcase on the floor at the foot of a bed and then close it up to conserve room. My grandsons would place their suitcases on the bed to get something out. No way could we leave the three suitcases accessible. It was July 1 and the room was quite warm until late in the evening.

My husband, my ten-year-old daughter and I have stayed at the Abbey Court in May. Very nice hotel with very kind employees. The location is perfect for visiting the town as it is near the tube station. In the surroundings of the hotel there are a lot of restaurants and pubs, all the area is quiet. Our room (a triple) and the bathroom were quite small, but, anyway we didn't pass much time in the hotel. Breakfast was quite rich (both eggs/sausages and toasts/jam, etc). We would recommend this hotel.

This was my second stay at Hotel Abbey Court. My room was at the fouth floor and it was otherwise ok but the shower did not work properly; only few drops and the water was cold for three days I stayed there. Hotel location and breakfast were very good.

I have stayed 2 nights and was quite ok overall. The breakfast should offer more choice, like croissants or pains au chocolat. My room was to close to a slaming door in the corridor.Otherwise it is a nice hotel a little expansive for the space of the room.I probably come back if i'll get a better room.

The hotel location was great; short distance from Lancaster Gate and Paddington undergound. I didn't expect much of this hotel but I was positively suprised. Although the room, especially the bathroom, was very small it was ok for one night. The room was quiet and slighly shabby but clean. The personnel at the reception were very polite and I found the breakfast very good. I will definitely return this hotel for the short stay.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. For a short trip the location is perfect, just 5 min. walk from Hyde park and all important places can be reached via circle line within zone 1. Because i travelled alone i booked a single room. The only things i have to complain about is the spaciousness of the room especially the bathroom and the breakfast with a little choice. I recommend this hotel for femal single travellers. It's close to the tube and located in a well-kept neighbourhood.

Excellent location close to buses, tube, trains, restaurants and Hyde Park. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast room had a wall of fish tank which was very picturesque. This hotel was very central. Room was small, but clean and very quiet, very close to Paddington station. I was very surprised - and annoyed - that the hotel did not provide soap or shampoo, even though there were towels and hairdryer. Also the room was not airconditioned, and since it was very small, there was no air circulation.

The Abbey Court Hotel is in a very nice Area, very comfortable for Paddington station and for Hyde Park. The reception is beautiful, and also the employees are all very educated and always available for information. Rooms are quite small, bathrooms even smaller. Only remark is that the floor is quite noisy, and all rumors are heard within the room.

I had stayed at the Abbey Court Hotel last summer and liked it. This year I found improvements at the Front Desk (Sergio was delightfully attentive) and in the breakfast which has been expanded. I was in a double room facing the street (at my request) which was small but comfortable, with a very small but, again, sufficient bathroom. As always, both were clean and pleasantly appointed. The only defect was that the cold water faucet in the bathroom sink did not work. The location is, of course, excellent: only a block away from Paddington Station and 2 blocks away from Hyde Park. There is a VERY GOOD AND INEXPENSIVE (for London) Italian restaurant called "Ask". It's just around the corner, to the right. Also around the corner but to the left is a pub that also has good British food at reasonable prices.

Colazione all'inglese con tè, caffè (all'americana), salumi, fagioli, uova, pane tostato e marmellata.

Very low price and not bad facilities. Despite small room with old furniture. Below you may find my opinion on hotel, room and the service. My overall impression is positive and the price/quality ratio is adequate. 1) the hotel + close to the tube stations - looks better from outside than from inside 2) the room (no. 423) + was quiet (located on a 2nd floor on the left side of the building) + clean and warm (end of September) + equipped with an electric kettle and some British tea - very, very small 3) service - invoices are printed at 12 o'clock (if you are checking out earlier it is impossible to get one; solutions: check out and the invoice will be mailed to a given destination or take care about that at least one day before check out)

It was WAY overpriced for what we got. I realise London is expensive but we stayed in Paris, Rome and Dublin for a lot cheaper and much better accomodation. Our room was located above a pub that was open until 12am+ and our windows didnt close properly so didnt get much sleep. This Hotel is close to the City but you dont need to stay right in the centre with the underground in London. I would never stay here again and dont recomend.

I was misled by the photos of the hotel exterior, foyer and breakfast room - which look quite acceptable - nice even. When we opened the door to the rabbit hole of a room we were very disappointed. The curtains were stained and tattered, the room very shabby and old charity style furniture. People were smoking in adjacent rooms which came under our door, although non smoking signs were everywhere and we were then threatened by the hotel with prosecution for smoking. The location was good because of Paddington station.

Stayed there with our son for a couple of days in London - very good location, but rooms are small, the shower basin had a very ugly, makeshift sealing with some black tape, and our room was right above a busy pub, and was therefore very noisy till long after midnight. On the other hand, it was good value for money by London standards - the room was clean, the staff friendly and it included breakfast, although the breakfast room got very crowded at times. All in all, I might spend a couple of nights there again.

The hotel lobby is very nice, but our rooms were super SMALL, but clean. They changed the bedlinen and towels every day. Although they had more spacious rooms too, when I requested them to change our room into a bigger one, they gave another room of the same size on the next floor. The staff was nice, but they don't care about the guests. Breakfast is said to be continental, but it was a great disappointment. It contained only 1 slice of ham, 1 of cheese, butter, jam and cornflakes every day. No fruits , no salads, no yoghurt, no eggs no....... It is nothing like in the pictures.

Cleanliness is my nr. 1 concern, and my room and bathroom were both impecable and pleasantly appointed. They were both very small, but that was not important since I was traveling alone and only needed the room to sleep and shower. The location is wonderful: lovely surroundings and only 2 blocks away from Paddington Station and from Hyde Park: I walked to Buckingham Palace, St. James Park, Picadilly Circus, the National Gallery, Westminster Abbey; Kensington Palace is also close by. The London tour bus stopped only 2 blocks away, at the bus stop in front of the post office by Paddington Station, which also has a no-fee ATM and where you can take buses to practically anywere. The room's window gave onto a small inner courtyard in which I could sometimes hear voices from other rooms if I left the window open, but that didn't bother me. The only negative note was that my toilet did not flush and it took them 2 days to fix it. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was coffee and toast, with some cheese and ham, and marmalade -plenty for me.

As per other reviews, the rooms are not big! However, they are just about adequate. Main areas of concern were very poor quality of waitressing service in breakfast room, the length of time for cooked breakfast to arrive (20 minutes), and the quality of the cooked breakfast (greasy, certainly not worth the wait). The location of the hotel is good (<5 minutes from Paddington station), and overall its price represents reasonable value.

Hotels in London tend to be remarkably expensive. Compared to that this was a good and nice hotel. The location was very good between the Paddington railway station and Hyde park. Both the Paddington and the Lancaster Gate tube stations were very near. Rooms were claimed to be extremely small but we had no problems with that - our double room was big enough for us.

Very nice and quiet surroundings. the room was very small, but it was enough to rest if you spent most of your stay visiting the city.

Easy to get to from Heathrow to Paddington via Express (15 min) & then 3 minute taxi ride. Paid £3 extra for English breakfast. Lots of coffee & toast and cornflakes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Good hotel.Good location. We stayed in a family room with our 2 teenage children. The room (407) was on the ground floor and VERY quiet! Big enough for the 4 of us (we spent our days outside of course). Only the bathroom was small but everything was very clean (and we are quite demanding). Breakfast was good too. You could ask for more bread, cheese, coffee. It seemed to us that most employees were young foreigners who were not very good at English but they did their job very well. Good hotel, expensive of course (110pounds a night) but London is London, isn't it?

I would never believe, that double room in hotel could be so small. Our room, Nr. 4 was in the underground, small as our bathroom in Prague. When I wanted to go in the bath room, my husband had to be in the bett - terrible. Bathroom is the smallest in the world I think. The original english breakfest was very poor, the continental brekfeast also. I want to visit London once again, but I will look for another hotel.

Abby Court is a good value for a place to stay while you are gone all day sight seeing. It is clean and adequate. If you take the train from Heathrow. Make sure you give the Connect a try instead of the Express. It is half the price with the only differences being a few stops, a 10 minute longer trip, and a more limited schedule.

It was the first time I stayed in London and in Abbey Court Hotel. The hotel is clean and beautiful. The rooms are too tiny but the relationship between price and quality is good. The Tube is 5 minutes from the hotel and near there is Hide Park, surroundings are beautiful.

The location and reception were very good, but the room was very small. We could listen the elevator and traffic in the street, during all night. We were really disappointed!!

Our room was so small.. We had to walk over the beds to reach the other side of the room... Location is good, close to underground.
