Nice interesting hotel, probably the best location in the castle area. Very quiet rooms although for the fairly high price they should have been bigger and breakfast should have been included. Had a few problems with the air con which they couldn't solve in time but they gave us a discount card to make up for it. The omnipresent artwork isn't uniformly good and can be quite oppressive but that won't trouble most visitors. The public areas are not air-conditioned....it was over 40 degrees in these areas at times!

Solar dos Mouros' 13 rooms are well-equipped and decorated to meet the needs of the most demanding guests.All rooms offer air-conditioning and heating as well as direct telephone and satellite TV. High-speed Internet access is also available apart from a safe and cots upon request.
If you happen to choose a superior room, the suite or the suite duplex you will avail of more space and better views to the river or the castle. Besides, by choosing these type of rooms you will not have to pay additional charges for the safe, the Internet access and the baby cots.
