We only stayed the one night at the end of our adventures in 5terre. It was a change from the accommodation in Vernazza. Well positioned, very clean and most welcoming. Mama Rosa's breakfast was also superb and more than adequate to set us up for the day. All in all a great choice and extremely good value for money.

Tucked away off a small street in the ancient section of Levanto is a marvelous little 5 bedroom "affitta camere" whose name translates to The Compass Rose. Very appropriate for this setting by the Ligurian Sea. Marco and his mother Rosanna make a great team operating this fine little establishment. It is lovely to see and comfortable to stay at. It has a great location for going to the beach, seeing the town, getting to restaurants, and walking to the Train Station to visit Cinque Terre. It is also close to the trailhead to hike to Monterosso al Mare. Rosanna is a particularly sweet woman who made us feel like we were family visiting her.

Marco and Rosa treat you like family and assist you with any needs you may have. Rosa greets you with a warm welcome. Marco speaks English. They prepare a very nice breakfast including eggs if you desire. There is a private parking area in back. The B&B is located in charming old town area with narrow streets. It is one block from the beach and has a choice of good restaurants only a block away in the piazza. La Loggia is owned by Rosa's sister and is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and bathroom has a large walk-in shower. Nearby church bells do toll, but quieter at night. We definitely would like to return here.

Owners were very gracious. Room very clean, safe and secure location. The breakfast was lovely. I would definitely recommend this for a stay in Levanto and headquarters for the CINQUE TERRE area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosa Dei Venti B&B. Our stay was most memorable and enjoyable thanks to Mumma Rosa & Marco. They were extremely welcoming and they offered a lovely home cooked breakfast. The location was wonderful and only about 150m from the Levanto beach. I recommend to hire bikes from bike hire shops within Levanto and ride north along the man made pathway. This was a wonderful way to sight see. We wish to thank Mumma Rosa and Marco for our wonderful stay and we hope to visit them again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. Rosa couldn't have been more welcoming. The Inn is a 10 minute downhill walk from the train station, a very good location for walking the Cinque Terre. Yummy home cooked breakfast every morning. Very fresh. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. 2 minutes to the beach.

Excellent location. Hostess is a real character in a good way. Bring your ear plug for the church bell which ring every 15 mins 24/7. Good breakfast.

We loved our stay in Levanto. Rosa and Marco provided us with excellent service and such warm hospitality! The proximity to the beach, the town centre and the train station (15 minute walk approximately) was so convenient. The breakfast was lovely - we enjoyed our Parmesan omelettes and fresh pastries. Thank you, Inn Rosa dei Venti!

Rosa is a wonderful host. Not a word of English to go with our little Italian, but plenty of hand signs get the meanings across. Different guests were noisy two of our three nights and kept us up until we asked them to quiet down. (A knock on the door is sufficient) Breakfast was very good with eggs to order, yogurt, rolls, bread, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, and tea.(Rosa even had saran wrap to package up leftovers from our plates--she didn't want food wasted when African children were starving. This is NOT DONE IN OTHER B@B, in Europe. People simply help themselves when no one is looking ) Parking was convenient and within sight. No car needed to explore Cinque Terre from here. Ten-minute walk across town to the train station to ride a few minutes to any of the Cinque Terre towns. Many restaurants in Levanto(a delightful town) for an evening meal after a day in Cinque Terre, or buy food at the stores in town to have your own salad, wine, and sandwiches in your room. Rosa dei Venti is a very comfortable place to make your headquarters for Cinque Terre.

An excellent base for exploration of Cinque Terre. Very welcoming and friendly hosts, clean, spacious and quiet rooms, 5 min from the harbour and a 15 min walk (pulling a suitcase) from the station. Highly recommended.

Staying at Rosa dei Venti in Levanto was a highlight of our 2 week vacation to Italy. The B&B was darling and Rosa and her son could not have been more accommodating. She made a wonderful breakfast every morning including great American coffee, parmesan cheese omelets, yogurt, the best juices and an assortment of breads and pastries. Levanto is a fabulous little village and although we did take the train and boat ride ( each short walks ) to tour the Cinque Terre towns, we very much enjoyed coming back to Levanto. Possibly the best meal of our whole vacation was at Rosa's sister's restaurant which was a very short walk from the B & B. Staying at Rosa dei Venti was a fabulous find that I would highly recommend.

Warm welcome, good breakfast, very nice owners, Marco and mom Rosanna. Unique decor which inspires conversation. Location worked out very well for exploring La Cinque Terrre using the parc pass which includes trains and the hiking paths then returning in the evening for apertivos (we liked the bar near the beach with the pools in front of it) and dinner. Monterosso and Vernazza have been damaged by the floods in Oct 2011 but they are hard at work restoring. Go visit for an hour or two and spend a litte money to help suppot them.

lovely warm welcome from Roseanna and Marco, tasty breakfasts, great espresso. Room had a great shower and the best complimentary toiletries I have used. 2 minutes from the beach and a good boardwalk to stroll on after dinner. Close to the centre of Levanto and many good restaurants and cafes. Easy walk to the train station and to Cinque Terra

If you are going to the Cinque Terre area, stay in Levanto. It is a beautiful village which is only a 3 min train ride from Cinque Terre. Rosa is absolutely amazing and one of the most eccentric women ever...she absolutely love what she does and it shows. Her pastries in the morning are to die for, and the way she makes you feel like you are home is worth the trip alone. Levanto on its own is beautiful, with great restaurants, a fantastic beach, and the best gelato!

Fantastic!! Coming from California, hotel standards are quite high, so Rosa die Venti B&B was excellent quality in every way. Every room has just been upgraded with brand new bathrooms, windows, flooring etc. The bathrooms are perfect quality and the showers are great. The rooms are smallish, but who stays inside all day... Rosanna is the most charming and perfect host. She can't do enough for you. Levanto is the ideal place to make your base and travel between the Cinque Terre towns by train or boat. Super easy and quick.
