My stay at Globtroter was a pleaseat one. I found this place very quiet despite the fact it is in the middle of the Old Town, just 2 mins walk from Market Square, in the courtyard. Staff was friendly and helpful in giving good advices about where to eat, places to visit etc. Room was decent with bathroom, tea & coffee facilities, TV ( few Polish channels, news channels in English etc. ). Iron & hair dryer available on request, there is also fridge for guests use located in the common area. I would definitely stay at Globtroter again.

Great location in the old town of Krakow, but I knew we had chosen the wrong place as soon as we were inside. The Tourist information office classes this as a hostel. Old town Krakow accommodation is pricey, but what we got was not good value for money. Dark, tired, mismatched old decor and bathrooms. Breakfast not included.Person on reception was OK but nothing like the welcome described by other reviewers?? We made the decision to move after one of a three night stay. We paid 200 zloty more for a huge triple room still in the old town in a three star hotel, soft fluffy towels, breakfast included, only drawback was the second location was noisier . I am puzzled as to why others have rated the Globtroter so highly. This is the first time we have booked through Venere and not completed the stay. Our teenage daughter, used to using hostels found this place dark and creepy.

I had a hard time finding it, the hotel is small and hidden in the back. The room was small, fortunately there was a tiny balcony. I would not return there. It simply felt like a last resort place to put your head.

i stayed as a single traveller in a twin bedded room as the hotel was quiet at xmas. The staff especially piotre and annetta were really helpful and v friendly. A gift of cake on xmas day was lovely. They could not do enough for me. Only saw 1 other guest i think 'cos hotel was so quiet. The little library room was nice with lots of english books and interesting leaflets. Brilliant location and a great salad restaurant off the main square called Chimera, delicious and cheap. Loads to do and see nearby. Thanks to all.

The location is excellent being located within the historic city centre. The service provided by the staff was excellent from the first welcome to the last goodbye. Although breakfast is not included we used the recommended restaurant across the Plac Sczcepanski which we found to be good quality and excellent value. We also received good recommendations for local eating places. We stayed in a second floor room. It was clean, comfortable and quiet; we hardly noticed the other guests. The free wireless internet worked flawlesly which was critical during our stay in order to make an on-line submission related to employment (even though we were on holiday!). There are bus and tram stops close by to easily access those attractions which are too far away to walk to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at Globtroter. The hotel has plenty of character so we felt we were really in Poland, not in a sterile international environment. Our room was very simple, but clean and comfortable. Perhaps in very hot weather the lack of air conditioning would be an issue for some people, but it was quiet enough to have the window open all night and we were able to prop the door open for extra ventilation as it gave onto the wooden balcony. The bathroom was spacious and there was plenty of hot water. The room had a kettle with cups and a couple of sachets of tea and coffee. A communal fridge provides ice and coffee cream and guests can store their own food and drink there. The second floor library has a useful collection of maps and guides and paperbacks left by previous guests. It also provides free internet access which is invaluable. The little courtyard garden is pretty and extremely tranquil. It was a pleasure to sit on the balcony with a book and a drink after a hard day's sight-seeing. The square outside the hotel is a very pleasant neighbourhood with two good places for breakfast and several excellent restaurants. The fountains in the square are lovely and enjoyed by lots of small children. All this just five minutes from the main square - an excellent location. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful: they organised an Auschwitz tour for us and helped us find the right bus to visit the salt mines.

This hotel was a Gem! Perfect location in Old Town but off the main street, so it was quiet. The man at the front desk, Marek, was so welcoming and offered to help us find whatever we needed! He recommended great restaurants and printed out a map for us to find our way to some things we wanted to see. He always had a smile for us! The hotel room was amazing -- spacious, comfy bed and big shower! I would def return here!

An old building and rooms with a lot of character. Rooms were clean and warm as was the bathroom despite the cold weather outside. The staff were friendly and belpful and spoke excellent English. For a city centre guesthouse this place was excellent value and ideally situated a couple of minutes from the main square in Krakow.

We stayed two nights at the Globtroter. The hotel was located just off the main square - just steps away from sightseeing and restaurants. The hotel had large rooms. The rooms were not air conditioned. We would stay there again.

A very clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel in Cracow. The staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions and recommendations. You are a one minute walk from the main square. Plenty of great eateries in the neighborhood. I would recommend the Globtroter.

My room was good, not very big, but cozy, comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was also not so big but very well equipped and clean. The hotel is very silent, although the wooden floor cracks a little bit, but it didn't disturb me at all. The hotel is nicely located, in the city center, but I had troubles finding it as I was looking for a patio with a garden - but the entrance is a normal building, the patio is interior. Look for the Globtroter banner over the door. The only down side was not serving breakfast - somehow I overlooked that - so I spent much more money that expected, having to eat in the café. But overall I think it is very worthy to stay there.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Globtrotter. Being snuggled in a courtyard away from the street, it was very quiet, which was important to us. The concierge (Peter) was especially helpful and sweet. The location was excellent - just a few blocks from the Old Square. A computer was available for free, for checking emails and the like. A word of advice for those travelling by personal car: call ahead to find out where to park, as the hotel does not have parking. THe Globtrotter is perfect for those who want to be close to Old Town but away from noise.
