(+) Excellent location between Hagia Sophia and Marmara Sea embankment. Great, just a fantastic view from the dining room window. Full compliance with the promises and reality. If you want a hotel only to sleep, this is the best choice. Bed linen is clean. There's even a towel and soap in the bathroom that hotels of this level is unusual. Rooms are clean as a whole. The place is very quiet and peaceful. (-)First - an organization of the breakfast. They run from 8.30 to 10.30, but after about 9.30 meal is over, but do not add new. If you come to after 10, then the meal was almost not. Not whole the staff competent and friendly. The youngest age-worker is very bad know English, if it works for breakfast - very bad removes from the table, the guests is not polite. Before I left I asked him to tea, he replied that they had no tea, although in the kitchen, this tea has a whole day. It is very inconvenient to use the shower, he was very badly mounted on the wall. I would have stayed in this hotel with pleasure, but would like to see these shortcomings were not. They are very much spoil the impression of the stay.

It is a small and familiar guesthouse which is located near to the blue mosque. You can walk to the most sights in only a few minutes and the tram station ist not far away. The rooms are small and quite simple but clean and quiet. From the breakfast room you have a wonderful view over the city and the bosporus. The buffet was good, with regional food like boerek, olives, vegetables, cheese and yoghurt. Only cereals or sausage fans might miss something. You could use the kitchen for small meals and mostly you found a can of turkish tea on the stove. And maybe one of the young men from the staff even will offer you something of what he had cooked. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our time.

Nice location, i liked everything!!! the historical place was so close just max 5 min. blue mosque, hagia sofia, topkapi palace and basilica cistern (my favorite one). And nevertheless it was quite far away that for sleep.. very comfortable for sleep. The breakfast was best among what i have had in my trip. everyday different kind of food for breakfast. i liked Goesleme (it was a kind of thin borek cooked on a sheet) and pancake It was a great stay I just wish i could have stayed longer, strongly recommend to you.

The pictures show not the reality, the hostel ist very old and you can hear everything through the walls, everything!!! The Stairs are very noisy if anyone use it. Every evening the people are easily until 23.30 in the public area. You can hear the crowds and you can't sleep. The Staff sitting also there and often screaming to other staffmembers on the other floor. The mattress are extrem hard. Your Back will be frustrated after the journey. The rooms are so small sized that your Bags have nearly no place. The bathroom are a joke. Very small and if you use the shower all is wet. You have no shower curtain and no chance to dry the room. The Kitchen in the public area (Breakfast room) are not very clean. You don't see the kitchen in the official pictures. The reason is clear. the only persons i can recommend this hostel are young party people. good things are free internet free tea in the public area nice stuff good view from public area good position (sultanahmet) bad things are

Wonderful place to stay and would do so again. You will feel as though you are in a home enviorment rather than a hotel. They were extremely helpful and bent over backwards at any need we had.During my tour of Turkey, I stayed at many 3-4 star hotels, but it's the Tulip that I will remember with great fondness. It was central to the Sultanahmet area and in walking distance to anything you might need or want to visit. Loved it!! Thank you, Mehmet, for your warmth and helpfulness during our stay! Gule Gule!

Great location. Nice people. Good breakfast. Comfort is basic (very small rooms, shower without tub). Only 3 tables for breakfast : come early or late or be prepared to go back to your room and wait.

Atmosphere of friendliness. All guests interacted with each other in the breakfast room overlooking the Mamara Sea, I think. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, we felt at home straight away. The property is also just walking distances to all Istanbul landmarks and some. Metin, Mehmed thank you for making our stay in Istanbul memorable and different from other holiday places we've been to.

Personale gentilissimo e sempre molto disponibile. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

The exceptional part of our stay was the friendly and helpful experience we had with Emrah, the host. He seemed genuinely interested in us, not only as customers, but as people. A rare trait for someone in the hospitality industry!

Excellent place to stay in Istanbul. Close walking distance to all the sights in the old city -- literally a stone's throw away from the Blue Mosque -- and convenient for public transportation. Very clean. Beautiful big breakfast every morning. Emrah&Metin who run the guest house, are hospitable, warm, and knowledgeable about Istanbul and Turkey. Highly recommended!
