This was a really good place to stay - great value and wonderful breakfast. Barry's teabags in the room too...brill! Loved the ambience with the candles, water, tea and coffee available all the time. One little whinge...the bed/s. A bit bockety they were...there were 2 of them in the room, tried one for a while and transferred to the other...not much better. But, all in all, I would be very happy to come back to Amber Hill again on my next trip to the City of the Tribes.

Nice and quiet place, with kind and competent staff. Not very close to city centre (need car or bus, half an hour by feet), but close to the seaside. Good breakfast. Two PC with free internet connection at customer disposal. Parking always available.

Everything's was great. It was a modern and completely clean room, very spacious and also nice furniture. Breakfast was perfect and the employees offered their help in every moment.

My daughter and I stayed at Amber Hill while she moved into one of the NUIG international student residence, which was just down the street. It was a clean, cozy and comfortable place, with nicely done buffet breakfast. We didn't have a car, but got around by bus. There are bus stops for buses to the University and city center a short walk from Amber Hill.

We did have a little trouble finding the property as we thought it was closer to the bay. We certainly would have liked it a little closer to restaurants ie Salthill. A more detailed map would have been good on arrival to orient ourselves.
