Location is great as it is just 2-3 min walking distance from train station. Staff was polite and accomodating. She let us choose between 2 rooms. Room is clean with minibar and TV. There is coffee vending machine at corridor. Overall, it is worth the value of money we paid. Their property is subjected to Florence tourist tax of 2 euro/per person/night now.

It was awful experience. When we booked the hotel the check-in time was stated as 08:30am. We arrived on time at 08:30am (to be noted: I also left a message to the hotel saying we would possibly arrive earlier than 08:30am), it was located quite near the termini station, about 5 mins walking, in a busy and noisy street, very near to central market too. Good thing there is elevator, so plus for people with many heavy luggages. The hotel is run by Indonesian couple taking turns at the reception. The woman´s got bad attitude and there was no room available, forcing us to come back at 10:30am which was not decent, she was rude and impatient (and ugly). We also saw her walking around trying to open everyone´s door to see if there´s empty room, and people inside shouting back. We left our luggage in a closet, and had to come back later. We ordered a room without bathroom/shower so we had to use the shared ones. There was a bigger one with Jacuzzi facility, the place where you could sit on was broken, you could easily get hurt if you didnt notice it at first. And the hot water was not constant so.... It was very noisy at night, you could hear clearly the woman talking loudly on the phone upstairs and laughing like a chicken.(and every other kind of noises). You can hear machine spinning noise early in the morning. We left around 8am and the reception was closed, we didnt know what to do but ringing a bell, then the woman upstairs was shouting something we could hardly understand, finally we knew she was telling us to leave the key in the room lol. Also the free internet access in the hall is not 24hrs, it's time-limited.

Most of the time, I need a clean bed, hot shower, and preferably some internet. While I got some of these, I never got all of them, all the time. The day of arrival, the heating was off, and there was just one additional single blanket for the two of us. To top that, the water did not work. I actually mean that there were no water in the pipes (in a modern building at 2011, yes). Luckily, this was found after the flush, and before entering the shower. The shower head itself had mold (not a bit, mind you). When pointed out to the staff, nothing changed. While the staff was nice (they did offer us a lot of blankets the day after), they did not really solve anything (the water run relatively normal later, but this is by chance, nothing was done). Additionally, the "baggage room" is accessible only until 19:30ish, so if you have to leave it for a later time - make other arrangements, and do not count on the hotel. Finally, if you like double bed to be double bed (and not two single beds which are attached together with two single mattresses) - this is not the place for you.

This place was decent. The room was spacious and the staff were very nice. I wish the air conditioner in the room worked better. Tip: Eat breakfast at the place the hotel recommends. Great deal and tasty!

You get what you pay for. No extras but I didnt expect them. The blankets were very thin so I was cold most nights. The bathroom floors were always filthy because people came and went drunk all night, so by the morning the bathrooms were gross. The room door was paper thin so we heard every person that walked by at all hours of the night and the cleaning women were incredibly loud starting at 8am, yelling back and forth to eachother. The staff were fairly friendly, and the sheets were clean which is really the most important part to me. I think if I were to book it again Id book with a private bathroom, and try to get a room thats not right near the front entrance.

Our room was very spacious and accommodated 4-5 adults very well. Beds were made up every day, but we had to return used towels for fresh every evening. This was a very basic accommodation, but was conveniently located to the train station. There was noise from traffic but earplugs were helpful. There was a small refrigerator; "breakfast" consisted of packs of crackers and sponge cakes purchased at a local grocery. We could easily walk just about everywhere. Since we spent so little time in the room, it served its purpose, but if you are looking for anything more, you won't be satisfied.

Location was great. It was near to the train station. Florence is a walking city and so the hotel still within walking to everywhere. In the room the heater wasnt working properly, so the room was freezing cold (I visited in Dec). Not very wecloming every time you return to the room. Would have preferred the room to be brightly-lit. Toilets are tiled, but clean. The only negative aspect of it was shower area was a little small and the shower heads needed to be changed.

At least the pictures in the brochure are NOTHING like what this place actually was. Maybe they were taken 20 years ago. Its more like a hostel than a hotel, albeit with private rooms. Bare minimums and a clean bathroom, so I was satisfied.

Friendly people, decent accomodations; however, room was not ready as promised timewise. Noisier than expected, but being on busy street we should have anticipated the traffic noise.

This place is a great value in Florence. It is near the train station and the prices are very cheap. It is a very clean budget hotel. The staff is friendly, especially Grace. She made our stay wonderful.

The rooms vary widely in quality. location is good, near everything. when we arrived they said they only accepted cash, and during our stay there there was an incident involving police and ambulance. the safety of this apt. is questionable. no phones in the rooms either. i would not return.

We stayed at this place for 4 nights. Its very convenient as everything is within walking distance---the train station is only a 5 minute walk and the market started across the street. Our host was very friendly. The room was clean and looked like the pictures but the traffic noise was a bit much (OK if your sleeping with earplugs). Also our pillows were extremely flat!!!! No breakfast with this one. Overall it's a convenient and clean place to stay if you don't mind the traffic noise.

Very convenience location, nice quite staff, spacious and clean room, sparkling spotless bed cloth, the boiler and coffe-tea baskets in a Itlay guest is indeed a good surprise . but the shared toilet is indeed disgusting when someone else is constantly using the loo as ashtray. but the breakfast is rather meagre, with three pieces of biscuits..or Dolce. Which we discovered in local supermarket, a pack of 6 peices costs 99cents. We can't help admiring the cost-management of the hotel. but it is a nice place to stay if you can forget the breakfast thing at all! good value for money overall!

We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms on the street side of the hotel are subject to traffic sounds, as it is a busy street. On the other hand, this provided a great place to be in the "thick" of things. Mario was more than accomodating with recommendations of restaurants and helping us secure museum tickets. Towels, and toiletries were not what we are used to in the US, but part of the European experience. We would return to this property.

We are budget travellers who do not intend to spend any more time than necessary in city hotel rooms. The hotel fitted our bill perfectly and the 2 shared bathrooms were quite adequate - one very large and well appointed, the other small and just adequate. One couple slept perfectly, the other found the beds a little hard... The staff were great and the lobby fridge offering large bottled beers at 1.5 euro was regularly emptied by us for pre-dinner drinks. A great little find at about half the price of our alternatives in a great location. I can recommend the city bus tour, too, for orientation and to rest the tired feet.

The room was charming with a small balcony in a great part of town. The staff was fabulous - very warm and helpful. Some noise on the first floor, we were offered the third (Mario said it was quieter, but we loved the room we were in).We had a wonderful stay.
