Please stay here!!!The service provided by both Rafaella and Victoria was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spotless...fabulous shower. Situated 2 minutes walk from station, and close to everything As a sole older lady traveller I felt completely safe. Thank you for a great stay

This guest house is excellent! Right beside the railway station and easy to find. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and it is a good neighbourhood. It is an easy short walk to the centre. The staff are all lovely and go out of their way to make you feel at home. They cannot do enough for you. Facilities are all excellent even down to the loan of a laptop computer. Outstanding. Highly recommended!

Do not let the exterior of this property prevent your patronage. I was shocked when I entered a tired-looking building next to a busy bus stop. Commuters were waiting for their bus on the steps. The elevator was tiny. But when we got upstairs and entered the small lobby of the Guest House La Residenza dell'Orafo, met Gabriele, the charming concierge, entered our newly-renovated room stocked with lovely treats, we fell in love! Although the bathroom was small, it was clean and modern. The room was modern, clean, and spacious. Gabriele was extremely helpful in every way possible, including making reservations at key attractions so that we were able to avoid long lines. Victoria, the cleaning lady, was extraordinarily friendly and helpful as well, loading us up with treats. She said, "This is a B&B where you are treated like family," and it was true. The Guest House is in a great location, close to museums and the train station. Highly recommended. We spent 2 1/2 weeks in Northern Italy, and the Guest House was by far our favorite accommodation. We hope to return.

Our stay at the La Residenza was one of the most comforatble ones in Europe. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We loved the location since it's right opposite to the SMN railway station and very easy to find. The owners were extremely sweet and presented us with complimentary wine and fruits on arrival. I would love to recommend this place to anyone and everyone visiting Florence.

Very welcoming and finally (in italy) with tea facilities in the room. Some of the rooms near the main entrance may be noisy, but the hotel staff are extremely welcoming and make up it. Nice that the breakfast is in a nearby bar.

We loved the customer service. VERY friendly people. They lent us their laptop and helped us with every question we had. It is near everything and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that visits Florence!

The owner was very warm and welcoming, and the location was great for a short trip when you don't want to haul your stuff from the train station over lots of cobblestone! Close to EVERYTHING!!! Love it!

We spent one night here on our trip to Italy. We received a wonderfully friendly welcome by the guest house staff. The room was quiet, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated and after a long day sightseeing we slept like logs in the comfortable bed. The next day we had our generous and tasty breakfast in the affiliated café down the street and were able to leave our bags after check out to continue our sightseeing in the city. The hotel also organised the parking of our car with valet service for 24 euros. The guest house is in very easy walking distance from all the main sights and we felt very safe doing so.

Great B&B with a terrific staff that goes out of their way to accommodate you. Beautiful room in a convenient location. Breakfast at the local bar down the road. Fresh fruit and a welcome drink at our arrival - simply a pleasurable stay.

The staff fo this hotel was very friendly and helpful. Service is top notch! The hotel is also very conveniently located near the train station and also near (2 mins walk) the meeting point for most of the day tours. It is alo about 10 mins walk to the Duomo area. I would definitely come back and stay in this hotel th next time i am back in Florence.

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2010. and really loved this B&B. Very nice location, 3 minutes walking from SMN train station, and since Florence is a small town, basically you can walk to any of the interesting places you want to visit. This is a totally new B&B located in 2nd floor but it does have a small elevator and this is very important in Italy. There are no public reas but the room is huge, with a great balcony and the view is great. Even it's on a main street but it's quiet enough. Hotel staff are very friendly, the best we've seen in Italy during our 11-day honeymoon trip. Free and fast WiFi internet access, and also has a HD TV. The only inconvenience was the shower. A little bit too small but it was still ok. You just can't ask more fot this price. Best Location and room space, this is definitely the kind of B&B I'll recommend to everybody.
