Room was well located near train station and the sights. Clean and comfortable. The worst part of the stay was finding the hotel. Don't look for the name to find it. The sign outside said "National". If you look for that you'll be OK. The street just outside is a bit noisy at night and the AC was not real good (very hot outside). Comfortable enough though. Overall happy with the rooms.

The host was very friendly, and the B&B was actually way better in person than in the photos on the website which was great. We enjoyed staying at Aramis B&B and will definitely visit there again if we visit Florence again. The B&B doesn't offer any laundry service but a payable laundry room is just across the street (30sec) where you can wash your clothes for 3euros and dry for 1euro. We found it very helpful since we stayed there for 5 days. The leather market is 3minutes walk away from the B&B. A decent supermarket called Conad is located 5mins walk from the room.

Very good position. The room is very comfortable and clean, the bathroom is clean and large though external in some rooms. The street below is very noisy but it's the price of being in the city center. Very nice welcoming.

This is a bed and breakfast but we were surprised that our rate quoted did not include breakfast. If we did buy breakfast, it was not available until 9am which was too late for us. On arrival front door has no number for Aramis on intercom, just a phone number, someone else let us in. Rooms facing street were noisy with bar below.

Aramis is located near tourist attractions and the train station. The room and toilet were pretty clean and spacious. However, the toilet is located outside the room which is a little inconvenience, but we think that it’s not really a big deal. The staffs were really friendly, helpful and speak good English. Overall, we find Aramis an excellent budget hotel!

Aramis provided very clear information and direction. It is within walking distance from the central train station, Medici Chapels, Museum of San Marco, Accademia Michelangelo's David, Duomo and Uffizi Gallery. Room/bath room was spacious but the shower need to be fixed with better door/curtain in order to avoid flood the floor. We did enjoy our 3nights staying there.

Everything is good except the noise from the busy road and the night bars outside the windows. The lift is for private use only and you could use it only when the key holder is on duty. Good location as it is near to the S.M.N. Train Station and you could go to other provinces/towns easily.

We enjoyed our stay at Aramis and would recommend it for location if you were on foot. It was hard to find (a small plark on wall only). Parking was a nightmare - on Sundays you can park ANYWHERE for free, but must have car off the streets by 12 midnight. Street was close to city center and sights but a little on the 'dodgy side'. Be aware of people hanging around day and night. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes. Clean, new bathroom and bedding. spacious room. no fridge. We would definately go back to Aramis - this time without our car!!

B&B is an apartment with rooms located on 2nd floor of a nice building. Handy location amidst all conveniences but on an extremely busy street . Shared TV. Very inconvenient if travelling by car and parking is difficult and expensive. Though cant fault its location and proximity to attractions, market, souvenir strip and shops. Not quite kids or group friendly.

We called because we were running late and they waited for us. Then when we arrived we stated that we wanted to see the Statue David. The Hostess said we would need a reservation and she got on the phone and got us one. She even arranged to bring our breakfast a little early because we had only one day to site see. Excellent room and a wonderful hostess.

The address was somewhat deceiving. We passed the hotel lugging our luggage several times before we located the small brass plate on the side of the building.....then found ourselves in an empty lobby.... The "front desk" was frequently unmanned. The location....once found was excellent...easy walking distance to train station, market, Duomo, Academia, and Uffizi.

We started very well, since the directions given to the hotel were very accurate. Then, we were recieved by Serena and, after, by Marise, two sweet ladies who were always prompt to help and worried about our well being. Large and clean room and bathroom, nice breakfast, everything in a walking distance, including good restaurants and facilities. I would definetely go back there!!!

They also gave us great directions to our tours, adjusted the bkft time, recommended some nice restaurants. We always felt secure and welecomed. The bkft was simple, but adequte. We were very pleased with our choice and our stay. There are stairs to climb so be aware of this with luggage and mobility.

Great location and easy to find (with some help of the map, they don't have a very big sign), close to the train station (Santa Maria Novella) as well as the town centre. The beds were not the most comfortable you could wish for, actually our double bed was just two normal-sized beds put together (which is, unfortunately, quite common). The breakfast was not huge, but they did bring it to our room.

The Hotel Aramis is one floor up from street level, and there is a small elevator/lift for luggage. Our room was spacious and clean, with the view out the window onto the rooftop of another building. The AC did not work well, but with the high temp of about 78F opening the window in the evening cooled the room down. Couldn't receive WiFi signal in our room, had to go out to the reception area to get it. Continental Breakfast that came with Superior Ensuite Double consisted of a croissant, Fruit Juice, and Cappucino. Hotel located within walking distance of Rail Station and most historical sites. A bus line stops very near the hotel as well. The proprietor was very helpful, we asked about a reservation at Uffizi and he got on the phone and got an entrance time for us for the next morning. Overall, our two night stay was a good value and we recommend the Aramis. The only downside was finding the hotel when we drove into Firenze in our rental car (which I don't recommend unless you'd like a thrill ride, BTW. I have never been so happy to return a rental car!). The streets are not marked with signs on poles at intersections; the street names are usually located on the sides of buildings and can be hard to read as you drive by. Once we finally found our way to via Nazionale (a one way street), we had some difficulty pinpointing the entrance to Aramis. There is only a small brass nameplate near the door at 22. Look for a large sign that says Hotel Nazionale and you are at the door for the Aramis. See photos.

Out of all the bed and breakfasts I stayed in around Italy this was the best. The host was a lovely man, helpful, and also spoke fluent English, the room was like a really nice hotel room and perfectly clean, and the location was good for my requirements of being close to the main train station. I loved my stay here and will go back when next in Firenze.

This was our first time to stay at Aramis and we chose it because of the reviews. The rooms were clean (we were upgraded after one night to a room with an en suite bathroom)as were the bathrooms. The directions to the property could have been clearer. Marco and Michele were pleasant. HOWEVER, if you go when it is hot, be forewarned that the air conditioning in both of the rooms we stayed in was not up to the task. Admittedly, it was hot and humid in Florence at the time but the rooms were barely comfortable. The proximity to the train station and the major sights was nice, and the price was certainly right. We would stay there again in cool weather.

I would recommend Aramis for its convenient location, hospitable owners, and cleanliness/quality. It is a 5 minute walk from SMN Station which makes arrival convenient. The owners keep the property very clean and are available to help with tour suggestions and dinner reservations - my girlfriend and I found Marco and Michel very helpful and charming! I must add that the A/C was not working well while we were here (if this is a top priority for you then you might want to reconsider). It was not bad and we made the best of it because there were many other compensating factors which made the price a great quality. From this location, we walked to the Ponte Vecchio, which is on the opposite side of the city in 20 mins. and location is key, it is also 5 mins from the Duomo.

This was the cleanest place we have ever stayed - not just in Italy but anywhere else in Europe, the U.S. and the Carribean. It was immaculate. The guys running it were incredibly friendly and helpful. The floors were gorgeous! The only negative was the first night our air conditioner didn't work very well. The adjustment knobs were removed so we had the window open and got bit by mosquitos. However the second night one of the guys came and adjusted the air conditioner and it was much cooler and we slept much better. We would recommend this place simply because we would say the cleaniness exceeded the most expensive places we have stayed in and the guys running it were so nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aramis. The hotel is very located in very close proximity to the train station and is a short ride to the airport. It also right in the center of the city and walking distance to most major cites, i.e. the Duomo. The rooms are very nicely appointed - it's definitely worth paying a little extra to get the in-room bath. They also delover breakfast right to the room at an agreed upon time. Most importantly, the rooms were absolutely spotless and the service was great!! It was great to come back to the room at the end of the day. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and can freely recommend it to anyone. Thanks! MV

Nice place. The owner was very considerate and extremely helpful. We stayed in a 'superior' room. The toilet was big and clean. Breakfast was basic but nice. The owner helped us with not just Ufizzi tickets and eating joints but also gave great advice about shopping in Florence and MIlan. Aramis is easily walkable from the central train station as well as most 'piazzas' in Florence. Also, there is a great family run restaurant on 'via Nazionale' (where Aramis is) called Le Fontacini. Do check it out. Would definitely go back!!

Excellent staff and very clean and spacious room - I was apparentkly upgraded from a single room and really appreciated the space after a much smaller hotel room previously in Florence. Light breakfast in the morning (roll, yogurt, drink and fruit on weekends) and served between 8:30-10 to your room. Everything was VERY clean! Internet connection is free and wireless. You have italian tv cable in the room with flatscreen. Our room didn't face the street so no noise. It is hard to find the place- the opening door is next to a chocolate place. Marco was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble... even a 'loan' umbrella appeared when he realised we hadn't got one! He directed us to a great place to eat, just a few doors away and was able to advise us on trips etc. I would most definitely recommend "Aramis". As others have said, it is a little difficult to find, as there seems to be two sets of numbers on both sides of the street! However, if you are walking away from the train station and Santa Maria Novella 'church', the "Aramis" is on the right hand side of the road, about 10 minutes walk... and look out for the polished "Aramis" sign, just before the large wooden doors.

There was a huge scaffold in front of the building which made it very challenging to find. Once inside Michaela was very kind & friendly. We were 2 adults and 2 teens so the room was a little cramped. The aircon was almost completely ineffective and we boiled thru the night. Location was excellent and within walking distance of all the main attractions. Also we come from South Africa and not American Samoa? For us the congestion and amount of people in Florence was a shock to our systems as we are used to so much more space. All in all the experience was positive and we would recommend Aramis as a place to stay in Florence. Come try South Africa some time, you will be pleasantly suprised. Happy Holidays! As a caution if your are parking a hired car in the parking lot close by make sure you take note of the times they open and close. Our car was locked in and we had to wait for a few hours until they opened :)

Breakfast was delivered every day at the time requested and was perfectly reasonable for the type of accommodation. While the WiFi didn't have sufficient signal strength in our room it worked worked very well in the public area and was free as well. One, the A/C was not powerful enough to cool the room and even though it was cool outside at night (but still warm in the room), the location on a major city street made it impossible to open the windows. The other was that there was a single step down from the entrance platform into the bathroom that we forgot about a few times and almost fell. Otherwise all was well and we felt safe and secure.

Mr Marco was so friendly and very welcoming. The B&B was a little difficult to find as the seemed to be two sets of street numbers on the street which was a bit confusing! The road outside was busy but so close to the train/bus station and only a couple of minutes walk into the heart of the town. If you're going in summer check out the party up at the Fort. Only 10 minutes walk from the flat. Overall had a great stay at Aramis. Would definately recommend to anyone looking for a crash pad.

Hotel was very hard to find. It was on a main street but house numbers were confusing. Found it 3 1/2 blocks up Nazionale from train station. Name of hotel was on small name plate by buzzer button.Breakfast was not included but provided for 5 euros.Room was quiet and near to good restaurants and attractions.

Luigi was very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. The bathroom was very modernized and very clean. Unless we misunderstood, we were under the impression that the breakfast was included in the price, although it was offered if it was requested. Locating Aramis was a challenge due to the numbering system of the buildings and the scaffolding which blocked the view of the entrance. We tend to walk a great deal, so nearly everything we wanted to see was close. We felt that we were in the best location, especially near the train and coach stations.

We were made very welcome and the rooms were very quiet and clean. It was a bit difficult to find, but this is due to the odd system of door numbering, and not the B&B itself. The breakfast provided was quite good, but could be improved by using fresh croissants instead of pre-packed ones!

This was my first time stayed in Aramis with my wife. I do reckon this hotel to budget traveller as the price vs. comfortable is pretty reasonable. Washroom is very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We loved this bed & breakfast. It is really close to the train station and not too far of a walk from all the big sites. Marco and Michael were great and really helpful. The room and bathroom were big. I would definitely stay there again.

Marco is a fabulous host and made us feel very welcome. We stayed here for 4 nights. Room was perfect as a place to relax and rest at the end of each day. The room and bathroom was always clean. Ideally located close to the train station and all the major attractions. There are many bars, cafes, restaurants on the street and there are markets just around the corner. Perfectly suited for couples or single travellers. In summary: friendly, clean, good location, great value. Would definately love to come again!!!

Very nice room and well supplied. Breakfast was a minimum. As No.22 the property was hard to find, situated, as it is, between nos. 118 and 120. We spent about 15 minutes in the rain looking for it. Then we found it 215 metres away from the location shown.

The location was good, especially since we were arriving and leaving from the main train station, but we had difficulty finding the property: there is no outside signage other than a small nameplate next to the doorbell and Google map evidently uses the other numbering system. Once we found the building, the doorbell was answered immediately and the host was welcoming and helpful. He answered our questions and was willing to hold our luggage after checkout for a few hours. Coffee/tea/juice and prepackaged breakfast breads were delivered to the room at the time we requested. This was a good place to sleep and use as a base for a short stay while getting out to enjoy Florence. I probably would not choose it if I expected to be spending a lot of time in the room, especially when sharing with others.

This was initially difficult to find, but once found we realized what a great location it is. Walkable to train station and just about everything you might want to do or see in Florence. It's on the 2nd or 3rd floor in a building with a slightly seedy entryway, but the hotel itself is wonderful. We had a room on the side away from the street, which was quiet, spacious, and spotless. Our view was over nearby rooftops that included at least three cats (not owned or kept by the hotel) that sunned themselves on the roof tiles. We heard church bells every day, which were lovely and not intrusive. This really is a great place to stay.

pros: all in all a very well located B&B - close to the main attractions and the central bus & train station. clean rooms, spacious bathroom. A very dedicated and professional clerk (Luigi) - speaks great English. Cons: your site states "italian light breakfast complementary served in a coffeshop nearby or in house..." - no such thing! we were told upon arrival that they do not serve breakfast since they are not a hotel! So Venere, please correct your info! Also, when ordering the rooms I naturaly assumed that they include a private bathroom (since your site did not say any different) - but I was wrong! Eventualy Luigi was kind enough to offer us such a room with no extra charge. Last remark to Venere - please correct your mistakes in English texts.

This bed and breakfast was excellent value. We stayed 2 nights in feb. We had booked an economy room, but when we got there, the owner told us that he's taken the liberty of upgrading us to a room with an en-suite bathroom because it was low season and they weren't busy. The owner and the gentleman that worked there were both extremely pleasant. They even looked up the train schedule for us on the internet and helped us with accommodation in Rome. Though the room didn't have phone, the owner allowed us to use his office phone to call home with a calling card. The location of the bed and breakfast was great, half-way between the centre and the railway station. We were able to walk to the station with our luggage as well as stroll to the main attractions. I would definitely stay there again.

Staying at this hotel was a first for me, as was travelling to Florence. But I would most certainly stay here again as the overall service was quite good. The hotel's quite new & has an almost central location from all the relevant places (eg. the main train & bus station was a few minutes' walk from the hotel). The owner was very friendly & helpful as well, so getting advice on where to shop & how to travel around Florence was easy. So, if you're looking for a decent place to stay for vacations or business trips, this is certainly one of the best places to book.

I have been favourably impressed by this cute B&B... It took me a little time to find it (the number on houses are so confusing) but I finally got it. It is located on a first floor but there is a lift. When I arrived even if I reserved an economy room I got a deluxe room – nr 1 – large, very clean and very quite. Everything is very well done with care. The owner cares a lot on cleanliness and you can see it! The location is perfect, I went everywhere just with my own feet, though at my age… I had reserved only one night because I wasn’t sure to stay longer but then I stayed 3 days … The place is high-class! There was also a very “charmant” french couple arrived without reservation and stayed for 5 days ! I can only say I deply recommend this B&B to anyone.
