we spent 2 nights there room was so tiny that wouldn't be ok even for 1 person. i couldn't unpack my suitcase cause there was no space at all. We booked a double room with private bathroom but bathroom was actually outside the room which was very annoying. We had a room in a basement with tiny window.I know this hotel is good value for money but i traveled a lot but never seen room in a size of prison cell. I wouldn't recommend to anyone

Very nice room. There was a kettle with tea bags and milk in our room as a welcome. Perfect bathroom very clean and shinny. Thanks

I booked a private room with a private bathroom, but it was not written anywhere that the bathroom was actually outside the room, which is very uncomfortable and annoying. Both nights were very noisy, there was some shared rooms nearby full of girls screening all night!! Good hotel for a couple of days and relaxed people that doesn't bother with these situations. Room already had a boiler for water. Also there was tea bags, coffee, milk, sugars, etc. Very nice touch.

The room was nice, clean and quiet. The nicest part was there was a window on one wall and one on the opposite, so we could open them up and get a cross breeze going. The neighborhood was not unsafe but it was not the safest either. All I can say is, I would not allow my daughter to walk the street after dark by herself.

I booked a single so I expected the room to be small. It was about the size of a narrow walk-in closet plus bathroom. The room was clean. There were no towel racks in the bathroom. There is no lift in the building. My room was on the top floor, up a very narrow back staircase. I took my luggage up to my room but I did ask for assistance when it came time to check out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated about mid-way between the city center and Leith but there is good bus service; the bus stop is about half a block away. Expect to hear street noise at night. The continental breakfast selections were fine.

Nice hotel and welcoming staff, and paid a cheap rate (even for January). However, I made the mistake of pre-booking, which meant I was given the worst room in the whole hotel: a basement with no natural light, no wifi signal and hardly room to swing a cat --- and of course I'd already paid so wasn't free to move on...
