First night my husband and I stayed the room was quite a good size, but very noisy as right at an intersection with traffic light. The second night (after being away for two nights) and after we requested a quieter room, was a tiny room and the cleanliness was not up to scratch. The manager said they had a new cleaner, but needs to be better! These townhouses are actually apartments on top of a Pub.

Nice hotel, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. The pub next door has a friendly atmosphere and good food. I´ll book at the Lombard the next time Im in Dublin..

Great, recently refurbished room. My only complaint would be that the shower, while nice, seemed to require a couple intro to engineering classes to figure out. We eventually got it turned on, though.

We stayed 2 nights (Saturday/Sunday) in July 2009 as part of a trip to Dublin to see Bruce Springsteen. As such, in my view the room was overpriced for the Saturday night (supply & demand in action - I guess). Very nicely refurbished rooms, but not cleaned as well as they might have been. The rooms are over the Lombard Bar, and access is via a door next to the main bar. The entrance stairway looked as if it hadn't seen a hoover in several weeks. It is situated on the junction of two busy roads, so the rooms at the front are quite noisy, with no double glazing. No noise from the bar though - it was almost empty when we went in for a drink at 11.00pm on Saturday night. I can't comment on the standard of breakfast - it didn't start till 10.00 on Sunday and we were out long before that. The host said that it starts at 9.00 Monday to Saturday, bu we had an early flight back on Monday morning , so missed it again. Not the place to stay for the early bird who likes to go out on a full stomach.

The surroundings are not terrible but the hotel is located near the center (small walk). Breakfast not possible before about 9.30 a.m. because the pub downstairs opens only at 9 a.m. This place has been completely renovated recently and the room and bathroom are modern and comfortable. No parking in this area.

This hotel is a great little find. Rooms are very clean with the most up to date facilities. The price is amazing for the location and the cleanliness and newness of the rooms. It is over a pub, which should be considered, but I stayed a Thursday night with no issues. The food in the pub is good too!

Location was excellent. Very close to DART station and well within walking distance of downtown. Area was safe and I had no concerns walking back to the room late at night. Wireless connection was inconsistent and lack of phone in room was inconvenient at times. (I did not bring my cell phone and I had difficulty finding a working payphone; there are internet cafes but none immediately convenient to the hotel. The managers were very helpful in answering questions about the area and directing us to some great places.
