When we arrive the owner didn't appear to know the duration of our stay. Then walked us to the place , didn't come upstairs to show us around instead left without saying a word. The carpet in the living room was dirty and the microwave not working. The whole place needs some renovation. The mattress was very hard, not comfy. Considering they charge 120 Euro /nyt that was very expensive. the view though was amazing.

If you want to get more of a local feel and explore on your own this is this place. First off the kitchen has everything you need so go to the local market (or the other one, there are only two) and buy some of the freshest, tastiest produce you can get your hands on for still an excellent price. Its the same stuff in the restaurant, but a lot cheaper to make it yourself. Plus the view is fantastic, better than you would get in most places. You will not be pampered by the host, you will not have a comfortable second bed (the couch folds out, but is pretty awful), and it will not be sound proof. If you are low maintenance and looking for a good deal then this is a great property. Corniglia is the probably the smallest, and thus the least touristy of the Cinque Terree villages, making it for me ideal. There is water access with fantastic water for swimming, but requires a little hiking down and up, making it less crowded than most of the other villages.

We stayed at 49 Via Solferino, one of the properties owned by Ramina Orietta, in the village of Corniglia. The property was much more than we expected. It was spacious, clean, and very quiet. Ramina was readily accessible for questions, though her English is very, very limited. She calls upon others in her family or one of the folks in the Nunzio Bar, next door to her residence, to translate for her. Corniglia, where the property is located, is a very, very small village, and centrally located in Cinque Terre. Make sure you eat at Food and Sea, and stop by Maddelena Gelato after dinner.

It was a very winding road on the way into Corniglia and would not recommend driving into it late at night. The map online as well as iphone only give the main streets so it was not easy to understand where it was in the town but the people were friendly and helpful and led us to the main office. The town was the cleanest and most quiet in Cinque Terre and we would love to stay here again. We didn't realize that the rentor only accepted cash until we saw the note inside the door. No problem, there is an ATM/bancomat on the main street- just some steps away. Also, Corniglia is the steepest of the five villages. The steps from the train was a hard climb so know that the bus from the main street down to the train stops operating at 7:30 pm. AND all the walking and climbing of endless steps were worth it!- Oh yeah, I highly recommend hiking shoes or gym shoes with a hard(not flexible) sole or bottom. The hike from Corniglia to Vernanza was postcard perfect all the way!

Much more than we expected! It was our own little house in Corniglia! Check in was just before the building at the owners location. Easy to find! they showed us to our own location. Has a dinning and living room space, fully furnished kitchen and a separate bedroom. Bathroom was in common area! Wonderful views of the coast off the living room! Huge space and would be perfect for families! We were traveling through Europe for 3 weeks from the states so had 2 bigger bags which were very hard to navigate up stairs/through the city. But I guess that's our own problem! What a wonderful place and would recommend to anyone for a wonderful stay! Wish we could have stayed more that one night!

The apartment is very cute and comfortable, and has amazing views of the sea. It's quiet, private, and a great place to stay to enjoy Cinque Terre. I would definitely go back the next time I visit.

It was excellent! Old palazzo, close to the city centre, room with flair, excellent hosts, great breakfast... The only flaw I found was that the bed could have been more confortable but still one of the nicest places I've been in.

The apartment in Corniglia was very nice, large, equipped adequately, and comfortable. The view from the windows over the sea was beautiful. We did not see our host at all during the stay and she was not helpful with questions, etc, but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The apartment is right in the middle of the small town of Corniglia so we could easily walk to shops, etc. Take a train to Corniglia! Driving there was not fun! We WOULD rent this again.
