San Michele Inn - Catania

It was a lovely stay at the hotel San Michele. Nice and quite rooms. Nice and quite rooms. Very nice staff

We stayed in catania for 7 days, found the San Michele to be a bit far away from the main part of town but well located for the beach. Room was very comfortable and quiet from street noise although a bit noisy internally. Staff very friendly although their lack of English and our Italian created some interesting moments. Stairs kept us fit.

Reasonable price, clean room for a short stay

Nice and clean place. Room quiet, no noises heard from the street, but noises made in the building (by other guests and staff) could be heard all evening. Very nice staff, but noone spoke any English, except for 'ok'. We didn't have any problems with communication, but if we had some questions and problems, it would be hard to get some help. Breakfast could be better, only croissants, muffins, yoghurt, butter and jam served. No plain bread or roll, no chesse or sausages. However, the owner (a really nice elderly man) made us coffee for breakfast every morning. Good location, just off Corso Italia and 15 mins on foot from the train station. This is a family run, small place, only 6 or 7 rooms in total, but the atmosphere is nice. Really good value for money, we would definitely stay there again.

I really really like this hotel! Fully europeen stylished room, nice and clean bathroom, really high ceiling and a huuuuge window. There was everything we needed. The staff was kind, english speaking. It's pity that it's a little bit far from the city centre, but if you have a car there's no problem. I'll definitely come again.
