Loconda del Fuego did not dissapoint. It was just for one nite but we were so happy with the personal attention we received. Great breakfast in such a charming atmosphere. Received great referrals for meals and local sights. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Its such a pleasure for a weary road traveler to discover charm and relaxation does exist not far off the motorway!

One of my best hotels I have stayed at

We had been staying at the Locanda for a week in 2008 and we did really enjoy it. So this time we decided to start our Journey round Italy there. It was as good as we remembered. A friendly wellcome, a beautiful and very clean room, many nice details. Castelvetro is a romantic place, far away from the loud and stressful centers of tourism. The Locanda restaurant is a little expensive but very good. They have a very ample vinecard, we even got a wine from the Aosta Valley we do like so much. We surely will come back!

The Locanda is a wonderful and romantic place in an old Castello. Its ideal for people who seek quietness away from the tourist- overcrowded places. The rooms are beautiful and very well cleaned. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a small but excellent menue and a huge variety of beautiful italian wines. Breakfest is also very good. Ideal for a "culture- trip" as Modena, Bologna, Ferrara, Cremona, Mantova, etc. are near, but you have to travel by car. We are looking forward to going back there.

A really great small hotel with six suites. Ours was large and very nice. The food is fabulous and you are in the heart of buying Balsamic Vinegar. We are looking forward to a return visit soon.

A perfect combining of a suggestive medieval setting with all the modern conveniences. An idyllic location in a small medieval town on a hill, yet easily accessible by car. A delightful and gracious staff, knowledgable about the area and willing to facilitate your interests ( I was accompanied to a small artisan cheesemaker). The rooms are like stepping back into history with the furnishings and wooden beams yet there is air conditioning, refrigerator, even screens all concealed to not spoil the feeling. Many thoughtful touchesin the rooms. A magnificent restaurant and knowledgable chef with all local products and an unbelivebale wine cellar and sympathetic not pretentious sommalier. An incredible experience at a risdiculously in expensive price. A memory waiting to be made!

A lovely place - quiet, clean and comfortable. The location is extremely pretty in a quiet town with wonderful balsamic vinegar shop (offering tasting) just round the corner. My only real complaint was that there was no-one there on our arrival and we had to call the telephone number on the door. I think this might have been because we seemed to be the only guests there and the desk manager had popped out to the shop. Easy to find, easy to park close by, and good food in the restaurant.

Our staying in Locanda Del Feudo,was the greatest, we loved the family and the hotel. We stayed five days and ejoyed every one. We are missing the area and the hotel and we would love to go back some day.

Locanda del Feudo is a small hotel in a small town.It is located the top on the hill in the suburbs of Modena. The room was quite immaculate spacious and cozy.The staff was so kind and helpful to us. If you have a car,you can visit anywhere you would like to go conveniently. We would be back again.

Ottimo hotel di charme situato in pieno centro storico del delizioso paese di Castelvetro di Modena. La suite (€ 100,00 per notte) era composta da ampia camera e salottino. Molto accurata la pulizia. L'accoglienza è calorosa e gentile. Da non perdere la cucina del ristorante del Feudo: dai piatti tipici ai piatti consigliati dallo chef, con ottima scelta di vini e dolci strepitosi. Hotel consigliato a chi vuol scoprire i borghi italiani, i sapori tipici e godersi uno o più giorni di relax e chi vuole trascorrere momenti romantici. Tornerò in autunno o inverno perché non ho assaggiato i tortelli in brodo di cappone.

We arrived by car in Castelvetro di Modena in late afternoon and stayed at the Locanda del Feudo. Small (6 rooms) hotel in the old part of the town. A picture book mountain town. Wonderful place. Clean, recently restored rooms in Tuscan style. Modern bathrooms with upgraded fixtures. Nice air conditioning. I felt we were guests at a villa. Great food and wine. At night it closes and you are given a key to the front door to let yourself in. During the day we explored the country side visiting local wineries, cheese dairy farms, and some of the old castles. When I travel I want to not be a tourist, but even if just for a few moments a part of the area I am in. This hotel makes you feel like you are a guest in their villa. Off the beaten path and the people are friendly and welcoming. Andrea, the hotel manager was especially helpful and truly competent. He made our stay even better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again. Wish I could have stayed a week.

Wonderful hotel. We were sad to leave after only one night.

A terrible experience. We arrived at 4 o'clock in the afternoon as we had indicated in our reservation. The hotel WAS CLOSED. A wonderful local young man from a shop helped my husband locate the hotel clerk. He acted like he had never heard of us and said they would re-open that night at 8 o'clock for another couple. Finally, he checked us in. There was no one at the hotel to answer any questons. The employee was extremely ungracious. The next morning we checked out unable to even get a cup of coffee.

A perfect stay! As a salesman, I am on the road all year long, experiencing lots of different accomodations. This hotel in Castelvetro was perfect. Nice food, beautiful room (you should post some better pictures of it) and a very warm and competent staff! Also, the city of Castelvetro is beautiful. I surely will get back in this hotel for my next business trip near Bologna and also, I will get there on holidays! Once again, perfect!

Beautiful hotel in a nice little village. Take a good map, the village is very difficult to find if you don't have a good one!

Very very nice place, The office man was wonderfull, The restaurant is excellent. The room was very nice and no noise.

A delightful place. Excellent modern accommodation in an old building. Wonderful food. Pleasant quiet village, lovely countryside nearby (also, if you insist, the home of Ferrari). Young helpful staff. There was a brief glitch in service when the potatoes and salad we ordered with our (delicious) steaks failed to arrive, but we decided this was an aberration. Highly recommended for a romantic break, or a business trip.

A lovely restaurant with rooms in a quite beautiful old town on our way down to Tuscany. The room was more a suite and the food was excellent. Charming welcome and service. Highly recommended.

Our room was superb and the staff friendly and helpful. There were good signs around the village directing to where the hotel was.

Our stay was wonderful. We enjoyed the atmosphere, hospitality, food, and service. Will return.
