We would really recommend this place because most of the facilities (garden, swimming pool, breakfast area) were excellent. The place was nice, very well located in the middle of crete senese area, very close to main points of interest and had lovely Tuscan views. We would also recommend the restaurant which offered excellent Tuscan food in a very nice environment. However, we had some complaints with regards to: The second day we had to change our initial room because the air-conditioning was not working and the bathtub was so tiny that it was even dangerous to take a shower there. Other rooms of the hotel had also very uncomfortable showers and were experiencing the same problem with the air-conditioning. For this reason we finally got a bedroom close to the entrance. The room was ok but it was a bit noisy since it was located by the reception. We honestly think that an urgent RENOVATION of some bathrooms (at least the ones on the first floor and in our bedroom)is needed.

Best place to come and relax ever! Greate rooms, greate restaurant and surroundings, very welcoming staff. Will remember the time I spent there for years to come. Rooms a large enough and clean, gorgeous views and food in restaurant is great. Large swimming pool kept clean and just great on those hot summer days. Definitely recommend!!!

A very nice place to stay, with lovely surrounding views of the Tuscany countryside: vineyards, olive groves, fields of sunflowers (my visit was at end July). The B&B was clean, quiet and generally well managed by Ariana. The other guests were mostly middle-aged couples or younger families. Many thanks.

If you were dreaming of Tuscany, you cannot choose a more typical place, nested in the so famous vineyard of Chianti, among olive trees and cypresses, overlooking Siena ,in the background. If you, already knew all the artistic wealth of Tuscany, but is that possible, you might just relax amidst that classical landscape which is providing you all the flavors and images of that old country, feeding your imagination. All is perfect in that location.Perhaps some details would need to be refurbished, as the armchairs and resting beds around the pool. Don't be reluctant to try the restaurant. The recipes are goods , the wines too, and the view entransing, specialy at sunset, and the price is rather mild.

We went to Borgo Casato in March 2010. It's been our first time and I guess it won't be the last, because we've enjoyed our stay there very much. It's a beautyful B&B with an excellent restaurant and friendly hosts in a breathtaking beautyful landscape! Thank you very much...

This is a lovely hotel. It is very peaceful and the staff are very pleasant. The views from the swimming pool, restaurant and gardens are for miles around. The restaurant served a limited lunch and the dinner is not extensive but the food is very nice. We stayed here for three nights and ate in Giaole and San Guste (recommended by the hotel) both of which were fairly nearby and very good. The hotel is in a very quite spot but has easy access to the motorway to Siena and the south. Rooms are air conditioned and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a peaceful break but with the opportunity to go out and see some sights.

I spent 3 nights at the Borgo Casato with my two teens and my mother. The staff was fantastic; helpful and left nothing to be desired. They even gave us eggs and milk when the stores were closed on Sunday and we wanted to cook dinner in the room. The area is beautiful and it was one of our favorite places in Italy. I would definitely recommend and I would return!

We planned our 2-night stay there as a rest during our Italy Tour between Florence and Rome. We didn't get the sunny days we hoped for in order to fully enjoy the pool, the view and the Toscanian fresh air; fortunately the hotel's central location facilitated our visits of Siena, Montepulciano and Montalcino. We were disapointed with the noise level for 2 reasons: 1) There was a (small) Italian wedding happening at the "resort" during our stay which certainly deteriorated the usual quietness and 2) our room (which offered a great view) gave on the alley between the hotel and restaurant entrances. Finally, note that the owners didn't speak English nor French...

Borgo Casto is a place to return to again because of its location within the Chianti region and the kindness of the hosts. The room was charming and comfortable. The restaraunt was closed for dining, however the breakfast was large. A large covered patio is available for dining and enjoying local vintages. It is recommended for those desiring a peaceful location to enjoy the beautiful Tuscany countryside.
