Estalagem Forte Muchaxo is housed in a historic building featuring a typical Portuguese decoration and placed in a unique natural environment: within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, between the Sintra mountain range and the splendid Guincho beach, famous all over the world for being one of the best places to practice surfing and windsurfing.

A hotel with quirky character which we enjoyed greatly. Rooms were fine if a little basic, dinner in the resaurant was good, service at reception and in the bar excellent. But the best part is the location - right on the Atlantic coast you can fall to sleep to the rumble of the breaking waves!

By airplane
From Lisbon International Airport: driving along the IC19 road, take the exit to the A5 highway towards Cascais and follow it until the end. Once in Cascais, make a left turn in the first roundabout, towards Birre. In the second roundabout, follow the sign towards Torre, and in the third roundabout keep going until you reach the sea. In the fourth roundabout, make a left turn towards Guincho. You will see the Estalagem Forte Muchaxo on your left.
