La vecchia Cantina is a 19th century old farmhouse, which has been recently fully renovated and converted into a guest house. It is located in Colombarone, Canneto Pavese, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese hills, renowned for its distinct wines.
This guest house is situated on the hilltops quilted with vines, overlooking the Padana flatland above Broni. From the bedrooms, the terrace, the garden or the swimming pool you can enjoy stunning views over the Cicognola Castle, the Rocca di Stradella and the remains of the Montue’ castle. From the panoramic terrace on the second floor of La Vecchia Cantina Guest House, the views reach as far as Piacenza and the Tortonesi hills. You can see in the far away distance the skyline of Milan and the impressive Alps.
You can spend hours admiring the peaceful countryside whilst relaxing with a glass of Metodo Classico wine. Don’t be surprised if hares, boars or squirrels are running in the fields nearby.
La vecchia Cantina offers bedrooms on a bed and breakfast basis and self-catering apartments. There is a large garden with a children’s play area, a panoramic swimming pool and private parking spaces.
Breakfast is served in a characteristic dining room overlooking the countryside or on the adjacent terrace, where you can relax whilst having an aperitif and sample the local produce (on request).
